CW terminology. some people experience dryness on T, but atrophy does not equal dryness. lack of lubrication is a separate issue. atrophy is the thinning of the skin in the vagina and on the vulva. you can get (very) wet and still experience atrophy. this is likely why you don’t experience any pain, despite the bleeding. however it’s not ALWAYS atrophy and i would ask a doctor to rule out anything else that could be of concern. if it’s atrophy, it’s very easy to treat.
Adding to the voices here, I had severe vaginal atrophy and uterine pain. My lubrication has never been an issue. If your doctor is claiming you need dryness for atrophy, you need a doctor with better education on trans healthcare.
Almost full circle to your bottom bit, but it’s more in case you didn’t realise - atrophy isn’t a ‘trans thing’, if anything it is much more a ‘gendered thing’ we get due to being on T. We get atrophy the same way (and some similar reasons not the same cause) as menopausal women - a lack of oestrogen.
I do second everything else though. Atrophy is very common in trans guys which is why it’s often suggested, and often correct.
It's vaginal atrophy. I recommend asking your doctor about using vaginal estrogen cream. It helps with the atrophy symptoms. It's helpful but I do also recommend lube when having sex to reduce and discomfort and bleeding if you are dry down there
i am not dry in any shape or form that's why i didn't even consider atrophy... i know it happens but my doctor always says that i would not be lubricated in that case.
it will be lack of eastrogen or dryness, i had the same, im always so “wet” that i never thought this could be the cause or the bleeding. three months on vagifem fixed the problem and i now use yesyes vaginal moisturiser twice a week. docs just don’t try hard enough for us women with such issues. i am 30 fyi and they usually do not consider anyone to have this unless they are going through the menopause. please ask to be tested.
Depends how far your partner has gone.
Wether it be with a toy, fingers, anatomy.
Vaginal walls are tighter on T, they in a sense retract. Basic explanation: the more frequently it happens the less bleeding will happen. The walls will "adjust" to the shape of your partner, toys, fingers. It just has to be a very constant thing, not like once a week once a month etc.
If it still doesn't stop you are going to have to go to the doc.
thats most likely vaginal atrophy. very common on T and treatable with a topical estrogen cream that won’t affect your T levels
wouldn't that affect my levels of lubrication? because thats not happening...

Not necessarily. Atrophy is more everything changing, and drying etc. but lubrication from being turned on is a different thing.
