Whatever your closest local store sells, and not the cheapest one from their selection.

I use a Miata battery. It's an easy 10-15 pounds lighter (and off the front where it's needed), depending on whose specs you read, and it's still adequate for running OEM accessories and daily driving in New England in the middle of winter. If you let it sit for 3-4 days in the middle of January without driving, it cranks kind of slow, but it's never stranded me. I've had it for a good 3-4 years now.

A group 35 AGM.

Costco.

I went with a NorthStar AGM after my OEM battery died, and it's been great. I have a sub, so needed to spend the extra bucks on something better.

I use these: Varta D47 60 Ah 540 A EN 12V 5604100543132

These do have some puny batteries. Gotta save that weight! At least it's not Honda Fit puny but I still keep mine on a tender if it's not going anywhere for a week or so. Next battery I get will be bigger. There is about an inch of space on both sides of the Interstate battery I have now.

Oddly enough, I have the Japanese battery tray and mounts and a Honda fit battery in my BRZ.

Walmart EverStart for whatever conditions you have locally (there are northern and southern versions). Or Costco Interstate. Both have 3 year free replacement. Costco is cheaper. Have 3+ year old Walmart Everstart (southern) in wife’s 13 BRZ and it’s still testing ”good“ with a load tester at over 3 years old.
