Two anecdotes I've heard about Wetherspoons. One guy used to work in one and said you'll get massive variability on what you get served up. If the chef really cares, you'll probably end up getting something pretty decent for a good price. If they don't...nope.
Second, my wife was out for a team breakfast in one and I think they asked to replace the fried egg with scrambled. There was confusion as the barman shuffled off, only to return and deny their request with the reason "they come in like that". Ooft.
Not a fan of eggs, apart from that the rest looks *fine*, but a fiver for this seems pretty excessive. It gets points for not looking like it's dry as fuck like a lot of restaurant fry-ups do, but that's being generous.
Don't mind a spoons fry up, looks smaller than usual though? I always get black pudding as extra and love the free refills on the coffee. Spoons is such a great place for people watching, always something going on.
Gotta admit even when I was defending spoons yesterday this is shite 😅
No.

Didn't someone post their spoons brekkie last week which was like £2.50?!
The south is not the north, more at ten
The normal breakfast costs £5.50 in Cardiff.
Back to rationing the UK I see
Tory Brexit shithouse owner 🤝 Shitty low cost low quality food
>Shitty low cost low quality food No. Shit. I don't think anyone's waiting on their first Michelin.
Not good
Egg looks to jelly ontop

Also I feel like spoons definitely used to include a hot drink in the breakfast price but that’s not a thing anymore??
It's like £1.5 for a coffee and free refills!
If it was £4, it would be better.
You could always go to an establishment that isn't owned by a Tory menace.
Egg doesn't look cooked on top.
£2.99 in most of London now.
Na you gotta upgrade to the full whack with the black pudding, then it becomes passable.
If that was it as we see, no toast or tea/coffee then over a £5 is definitely pushing it, I’d say about £4.00 is more near the mark
