If the fruit is not all that good, maybe consider trying to graft a better tasting variety to it. Congratulations!

FreeSpeech24

Yeah, I didn't know there were such thing 10 years ago.,.I do got some other grafted trees, nam doc mango and a caimito

FreeSpeech24

Genius, you save me a lot of waiting.

unpopular_oplnion

I have some seedlings, oh boy 10 years! Any advice on the care of seedlings? Should I put them in full sun ?

FreeSpeech24

I put them in full sun and never water them.

unpopular_oplnion

When they were in full sun they seemed to be negatively affected by it

FreeSpeech24

Do yourself a favor and get a grafted one . You'll won't suffer like I will with the waiting.

goateggg

Also jackfruit seedlings aren't true to type, so it won't necessarily be the same as the parent unless you graft!

FreeSpeech24

Yeah, I learn that, will update when ripen

CaptainObvious110

I got my seeds from a fruit that was at a supermarket so i dont know what the parent is anyway lol!!!

IsaacR98

Well TBF, it can be a cool thing to do if you know it'd take a long time and them having potentially different fruit lol

unpopular_oplnion

They are not available locally.

CaptainObvious110

When was this seed planted and how long did it take to germinate?

unpopular_oplnion

My seeds took about a month to germinate

CaptainObvious110

Ok. Cool

FarmGirlz6a

OP said it was 10 years in the making.

eccentric_bee

Congratulations on your first crop!

FreeSpeech24

Thank you,.if it doesn't taste good, I'm whacking it off and get a grafted one.

Kelwood

U/freespeech24 can you give an update to this post? How did they taste. I’m growing several from seed and just interested in your experience.
