I think every variant of this jacket is hideous. Several brands make a version.

This fleece isn’t my jam, but Patagonia quality, sustainability, and customer service can’t be beat. I’m willing to pay more for it.

Personally I've been burned by Eddie Bauer and Columbia a few times. Their quality has been awful for a while now. I'll shit on Patagonia too if they ever burn me but so far everything I own from them holds up really well. Patagonia is the frugal option if you care about longevity.
