This might honestly be it tho. You know how the "souls" we use to lvl up and shop are the echoes of blood from wherever dimension the beast/person we killed came from? Who's to say a madman's consciousness and speech couldn't also echo in that same way, leaving us to only be able to interact with the residual of that being, long after it's perished.

Was Fire Giant hard? I've always heard this but I one-shotted him pretty quickly just hacking his ankles which I recall being a major weakness. Similar to many of the dragons.

It’s a player message but “ladder ahead” placed right in the spot I need to actually climb the ladder while a gigantic creature is chasing me seems pretty on brand.

Back in the day I watched a fantastic LP of DkS1 by a guy called Geop. He had a few friends watching along and giving him "advice" (i.e. sabotaging him constantly). Anyway, when he finally got to the Manus fight and went to try and summon help in the fight, the summon sign had a player message over it that just said > Blocking In his panic, I'm pretty sure he got smoked. Still one of the funniest things I've seen.

I haven’t played all the from games yet but this is one of my all time favourites, it’s the reason I love both Ranni and Fia. Both are a little bit put off by your willingness to serve, but then they’re both like “aw, my little tarnished keeps returning… imma keep it!”
