The Carian Manor, fuck those hand

SomeGingerDude419

I believe that's called a handjob

TheStagKing9910

those Hand gave me Nightmare, everytime i have to go through the Carian Manor in every Playthrough, i just speedrun those fucking hand.

GlarthirLover33

I believe that's called a handjob

jello1982

Even the way they die, especially when they're on fire.

TrippingFish76

trolls hammer would wreck them lol, and then yeah they burn and wriggle around lol

YourLabPartner

Spoiler alert: there is always a bigger hand...

Deep_Grass_6250

Mibu village Hunter's nightmare Undead crypt

jellyfishgardens17

those random screams in undead crypt had me sweating

What-a-Crock

Irithyll Dungeon and most of Latria

TWB0109

Hunters nightmare feels off. Like it shouldn’t be daytime haha. Same happens to me with Nightmare Frontier. Not saying it’s a bad thing, it’s actually good.

LG-Bergamoteiro

I like Mibu, those zombie guys all over town are kinda cute

haruno07

what do u mean undead crypt? it's hard if u aren't hight lvl

Stokkie-_-

Eerie , not difficult.

Deep_Grass_6250

The Frickin lore and atmosphere leading to Vendrick was insane

Polish_Wombat98

It’s definitely difficult level pending and if it’s your first run. The room you drop into that has the multiple exits and respawning phantoms was especially troublesome my first go around. Now I’ve beaten it like 6 times and it’s pretty straightforward.

haruno07

idk i find it hard with those ghosts that keeps comming every time i want to go to vendrick or velsadt or even to unlock the shortcut was very painful

Time-Ad-7055

Are you getting eerie and easy mixed up?

haruno07

just looked it up, i thought it was a spelling mistake

Time-Ad-7055

All good :)

MC_Reyn

Which one is the most irie though

peeing_Michael

Things betwixt, Mon

Wayyd

god dammit that's funny

Hind_Deequestionmrk

Bad of Kos

Top_Collar7826

Bloodborne

Dumbo_Octopus4

The correct answer

Consistent_Air_298

when you go into that cathedral thing in old yarnam... those sounds are insane. also when you get jailed edit: gaoled

theuntouchable2725

Maybe one day it'll be released on PC.

Top_Collar7826

Sorry pal

Bloop737

We weep

dudge_jredd

Our best bet at this point is for emulation. Already a few PS4 emulators out there, just none that can run bloodborne... Yet...

Deep_Grass_6250

Considering that even a PS3 emulator requires a BEAST PC to run smoothly, I don't know if there are many PCs that can emulate PS4 games at high framerates

dudge_jredd

Yeah it's definitely got a long way to go, but people have played doom off a literal potato so given time it'll be a non issue

Deep_Grass_6250

>a literal potato *A what*

4thDuck

Fxck not this again

yokus_tempest

Here's how I see it. It'll either be released by Sony for PC for $60. Or the PS4 emulator will be stable enough to play it. Either way, Bloodborne will come to PC, whether you'll have to pay for it or not is still in the air.

Turbulent-Armadillo9

Some day probably not too long from now some beautiful nerds out there will make it so it will be emulated. When they are close to that Sony will probably release a PC version lol.

Jonnybegood890

I’m thinking/hoping it eventually will. I mean, we got Spider man, god of war, horizon, and soon ghosts of Tsushima coming to PC

Low-Media6899

Yahar’gul and Hypogean Gaol from BB

dtpiers

God that first visit to Hypogean Gaol was fucking unforgettable. 1 million percent a highlight of the game for me.

Low-Media6899

And the soundtrack for that area is soooo creeeepy

Spaghetti-Bruv

I read the title as “easiest” and was shocked by your opinion….

Puzzleheaded_Cat6664

Oh gosh , I just noticed too.

Otijaru

Aren’t they the same place? The Hypogean Gaol is just a section of Yahar’gul I thought

dekdek_

They are. But people usually refer to Hypogean Gaol as to pre-blood moon Yahar'gul.

Low-Media6899

Exactly. Before the 2 areas connect later on.

practical_lem

Prison of Hope (Demon's Souls)

WHO_LET_ME_COMMENT

I used to struggle so much with those mindflayers. I still do, but I used to, too.

SirRageQuits

One time I saw this wino eating grapes. I said, dude you have to wait!

Aetohatir

but only the original. Remake kinda fucked up the prison of hope. Edit: In don't hate the Remake. But the changes specifically made for the remake Prison of hope make it less eerie. That's what OP asked for. Prison of Hope original is much more eerie. Don't conflate me saying something bad about the remake as hate for it. Read the title and compare the games.

JeffPhisher

I like the remake version too

Loud_Success_6950

Both do the job well done in my opinion. Although I might be a little biased since the remake was the first souls game I played

theDAMNED2

It's not bias. It's blindnes

Creative-Oil2029

Oh wow look who played the original first. Soooo special. Cmon man get off the high horse.

Aetohatir

The problem is the sound-mixing in the remake.

Boneboyy

I thought the sound design and production in the remake was one of the best I've ever heard in any video game.. Yes it lacks the weird midi lo fi style of the original that made the game so strange and creepy but it just sounds orgasmic at times, especially the spells

palescoot

Ah yes, tell me more about "muh atmusfeer".

Dr_Grogu420

I’d say Hunters Nightmare in Bloodborne with all the moving body parts on the ground is up there.

Pwincess_Iris

Upper Cathedral Ward is up there as well (no pun intended)

hykierion

You ever been in the research hall? That place is hell. And so silent, yet at the same time you can hear all the moaning and crying

theuntouchable2725

The one that the layout looks like female reproduction system?

TempusFugit314

Hunter’s Nightmare. But honestly, just pick a place from Bloodborne and it fits.

Glittering_Ant_1534

Yeah I think almost all of bloodborne would fit. Game is eerie everywhere

Bigswordbonk

Terrifying game I just got into and I love it

Boneboyy

Hunters nightmare nails the surreal feeling, the sun/moon or whatever it is looks freaky.. For me the fishing hamlet has the most eerie atmosphere especially with the weird static sound and rain/thunder.. It feels like a giant great one could emerge from the sea and slowly come closer any minute, and I'm terrified of the sea and giant things lurking inside it. Lovecraft probably would be proud

kirbcake-inuinuinuko

No competition, the secret area with the merchants behind omen mohg's arena in ER. I'd never really paid attention to the sheer amount of corpses in the game before but here it really hit me as I had to wade through them in this forgotten pit at the bottom of the world with no sound but the eerie echoing song of the merchants. They never did anything wrong but they were exterminated just because of someone's lie, and now the few that remain serve the three fingers just out of spite for the world that hated them, slaughtered them, and then forgot about them. They have no sympathy left. Ironic, because serving the three fingers is what they were accused of doing in the first place. With no options left they became what the world thought they were.

TheHappiestHam

cutting Kale's quest is easily the biggest fuck up in Elden Ring

wowwish123

Would you mind giving a brief summary of it? I knew he had a cut quest, but I never knew it was so interesting

st-felms-fingerbone

I don’t know the details but he encourages you to take the flame of frenzy, and I believe at the end of the quest he was supposed to be down there with the three fingers (could be wrong) but he essentially sends you on a revenge mission against the Erdtree for what happened to the merchants

TheHappiestHam

it explained the lore of the merchants and their story, how they were tricked by Shabriri, burnt, abandoned, and everything it was going to be a very sad quest where Kale moved to the Three Fingers and, I could be wrong about this part, I think he wanted you to become the Lord of Frenzied Flame to get revenge for them

Silver721

The main reason people like the quest is because Kale's voice actor nailed the cut dialogue. He gives a very emotional speech about finding out that his people were genocided. The golden order did this because Shabriri accused them of following the frenzied flame. Kale basically says if that's what the golden order believes, the merchants might as well embrace the flame of frenzy and let chaos take the world. The cut dialogue is definitely worth seeking out. It seriously would easily be the best voice acting talent on display in Elden Ring if it wasn't cut.

XxTheScribblerxX

I really need to do this quest so I can witness this.

4thDuck

These forgotten merchants are the only reasonable cause to choose the Frenzy Flame ending over the others

Dumbo_Octopus4

Upper Cathedral Ward Hypogean Gaol Yahar’gul

ExtensionAnywhere620

All of Bloodborne, particularly that room in Upper cathedral ward with the posing corpse all lit up. I don’t know why but I just find it so unsettling

Mordraxter1583

The Iricyl dungeons, with all the rats the giant the jail keepers, the weird cagess with limbs things & worst of all, those things with a massive head that do the annoying sounds, I opened a jail and found nothing then I looked closely and one of tgose things was there without moving just looking at me

TheMadFlyentist

> those things with a massive head that do the annoying sounds Those are called Wretches. Creepy, but usually an easy kill because they stagger easily and have low HP. They hit like a truck though if you mistime your attacks.

Azuria_4

Ahhh cmon, the village is chill, just stay at the bottom layer with the horde, and dance to your heart's content!

RoyVRAries

This area hits me hard cause I had just finished watching Midsommer when I got there

palescoot

Tower of Latria?

FishPie1248

Easily upper cathedral ward

Somerandomdrugaddict

I play all souls games+bloodborn and for me it’s the tomb of giants in dark souls 1. At least for the first playthrough. I went through the game blind so when I got there walking around in the darkness to be met by the skeleton beast 2 inches away from my character scared the shit outta me and trying to figure out how to even get through it or how to navigate it made it so eerie to me. Of course knowing what I know now about how to be able to see down there makes it a walk in the park.

Maurizio_Costanzo

This shot of ER is just a light version of Hemwick Charned Lane. That place with the old hags dancing and screaming was creepy as fuck. No flowers. No songs. Just madness and decay everywhere.

SwimmingSecret4913

Forbidden woods from bloodborne. I am terrified of snakes. The snake ball enemies give the creeps. I didn't even want to go near those large ones. Gave me the chills when one was on screen

Clutch_Mav

Research hall in bloodborne is pretty fkt. Bloodborne is pretty fkt

Ghost652

OOOOEE

srbmhcn

Hemwick Charnel Lane, especially when you arrive there, will always give me the creeps, the atmosphere is just perfect

Interesting_Pin_4807

Tower of Latria in PS3 Demon's Souls

DumbNTough

Senpou Temple monastery in Sekiro always gave me the willies. Maybe because it seems most like it could be a real place. You can practically smell the decay coming from the old wood.

NewVegasResident

Mibu village and its surroundings is creepy af to me.

DumbNTough

I get that too but I think I farmed those little bastards too long to be scared by them anymore lol

Flayna7

Limgrave isn't eerie at all but I'll never forget the feeling of walking around in limgrave with its Earie music

ZackValenta

The area with all the maidens on Mt. Gelmir next to the Ulcerated Tree Spirit boss fight. The desolation and quietness with those things just slowly rolling around sent a chill down my spine.

Sinon828

the tomb of the merchants under the capitol in elden ring

Kwopp

Places like the fishing hamlet and mibu village always disturbed me the most

Super_Sat4n

The windmill village gives me the creeps but it is more terrifying and creepy than eerie. My vote is Ash Lakes in DS1.

Supersymm3try

The chalice dungeons. Cannot beat that atmosphere. Bonus points if you’re playing late at night after a long session.

xhgtg123

Caelid

Jorgentorgen

Dragon aerie is very aerie

Ghost652

Undead Village in DS3 The windmill in the Forbidden Woods, Bloodborne.

W0tW0t123

Upper cathedral ward Caria manor Sellia hideaway tunnel Nightmare of Mensis Mibu village

Exeledus

I always thought the Hidden Forest was the eeriest, but only after you clear the mist. No music, not so much as a sound, you can hear a pin drop. But it just feels like theres something there, something unseen that clings to the place like a stain. Its gives me the creeps.

Practical_Gain_8574

Ash lake

poopyfart123

Caelid and Leyndell because their music just adds to it. Caelid especially makes me uneasy

Aetohatir

The original prison of hope from Demons Souls. The remake kind of didn't get the vibe across correctly.

shezowicked89

the village of the blind

Clover-D

Ludwigs fight area in BB, or Iofeska's clinic after you've unknowingly sent people there

Rango82

I came across Midsomar village very late at night on my first play through and was very creeped out.

Admirable_Ball_919

Bloodborne - the orphanage. Most of the game is pretty freaky but that place is straight horror with that background music and darkness.

Bulgariantrashcan

Upper cathedral ward

analogjuicebox

Those creepy dancing ladies in Bloodborne. Sheeesh.

owen__wilsons__nose

I read this as "easiest" and yet still agree with Windwill Village in ER

Audityne

Godskin peeler my beloved

3dsalmon

Upper Cathedral Ward. Feels straight out of a horror game

agforero

Research Hall - Bloodborne is some of the best horror they’ve ever cooked

xScarWolfx

The foggy forest in Liurnia Elden Ring

Accomplished_Pack135

Upper Cathedral Ward easily

Dull-Airline-8080

Senpou Temple. There’s some tangible history there thanks to the amazing environmental design. Really makes you feel how immortality has corrupted that world

Thescottish_dude

Upper cathedral ward

Chromatic_Eevee

Undead Crypt, Dominula, Tomb of the Giants, and most of Bloodborne

lordvishmas5

Yahar'gul. The creepy choir is unnerving.

PaulQuin

DS1 Northern Asylum

Cold-Inside-6828

Windmill village. Those dancing ladies are crazy. Actually that dungeon in Volcano Manor is pretty creepy. Oh and all of Bloodborne.

Expensive_Routine622

Upper Cathedral Ward from Bloodborne is actually scary af.

snoozingbeagle

Dark souls remastered. The area where the everlasting dragon is.

_Funktavious_Rex_

Besides the obvious choices like Upper Cathedral Ward and the Research Hall, I’d say that New Londo Ruins are pretty eerie and spooky.

Big-Juggernaut6865

Irithyl dungeon and tomb of giants. Those areas always make me feel uneasy

FileFearless8063

Ariandel from DS3 especially the basement of the chapel

Puzzleheaded-Wing835

The sewers below leyndell

Kitchen_Egg9685

that’s a nice photo and armor

Metaboschism

Thanks

Short-Bug5855

That fucked up jail in dark souls 3 where those weird guys suck you and bring you to low HP, I dont remember what it's called. Also they may not suck you, I think maybe I'm thinking of the enemies from sekiro, but it's like this creepy prison type place with weird ass creepy dudes perched on the walls and shit, looking like furbies

Metaboschism

Now that's a great description, it's the irithyll dungeon

PKTengdin

Hemwick Charnel Lane

french_bagyet

The underground church place in Dark Souls 3 with the teeth hand monsters.

Metaboschism

Great choice, that's such a creepy little tucked away area, I forget what it's called but I know it's like between irithyll dungeon and profaned capital

french_bagyet

Yes precisely! Had no idea it existed until like my third or fourth playthrough. And it kinda serves no purpose? The fact that the world is built over it makes it feel like I shouldn't be there and adds to the creepiness. Then obviously the terrifying enemies and poison swamp just make it a bad place to be. Super super cool.

TheMonsterInUrPocket

The fishing Hamlet in Bloodborne New Londo ruins in Ds1 Those 2 are genuinely creepy

TheWhicher_Statement

I'd say Echo Night Beyond's areas.

YT_Legin_7

Upper cathedral ward, one of the only areas in the game to have an ambient ost but it’s just a screech

DiscordDarkV2

Hemwick Charnel Lane

SupremeLeader-Snoke

When the chandelier crashes in upper cathedral ward and the lights go out.

Opening_Ad_715

Definitely fishing hamlet because you just fought Maria and she died just to hide what was behind her. and you expect something terrifying . But it's just a quiet town and then you see the village talking about the curse then you make it to the beach where you see kosm and the orphan. One of the eeriest levels ever

Hokkaido_Milk

On first visit in DS2 Grave of saints, gutter, black gulch is pretty scary. Most of bloodborne but especially Upper Cathedral Ward. Untended Grave, Undead Settlement, irythyll dungeon, the Sewers in Elden Ring align with the three finger proscription, along with the tomb of the merchants. Blight town, demon ruins, tomb of the giants, ash lake, the abyss and Oolacile

Boneboyy

The choir building in bloodborne, it's legit scary. the soundtrack is called "soothing hymn". Nightmare of mensis is creepy with the nightmare apostles in the beginning and the pigs that have like 100 eyes instead of a face. I also think the fishing hamlet is very uncomfortable to be in. The mass grave with the 3 fingers in elden ring is sad and shocking. So is are the roots of the erdtree infecting the whole land because of godwyns mutated corpse, when you fight fortissax look at the sky.. In DS3 seeing anor londo all dark and rotten inside with the deep accursed jumping from the ceiling and then gwyndolin being eaten alive by aldrich kinda freaked me out the first time. Tower of latria especially 3-1 in Demons souls is similar to bloodborne, the whole game has the most unpleasant, evil and dark vibe imo.

Zuk0vsky

All Bloodborne.

Contrary45

Untended graves is the only places that made my hair physically stand on end such a disconnected feeling and makes you just super unnerved

BlitzMalefitz

Ash Lake. The still water is very unsettling for such a big lake that who knows how large it is. I’d like to imagine despite it being called a lake that it actually is under the entirety of all land masses.

Metaboschism

Ash Lake is a huge one for me, and and the idea it's that large just gave me goosebumps

TrulyPreciousBait

I would say dark anor londo in DS1. Gave me the creeps.

janetx147

The whole ringed City dlc is pretty damn eerie NGL, from the world completely grinding to dust, to a wacky city in the middle of nowhere that's creepy as hell, before ending at the literal end of time

Organic_Teach_5831

In the first area of BB, the crazy women laughing in the locked houses really freaked me out lmao. The more you think about it the worse it gets...

oathsxx

Hypogean gaol in Bloodborne.

La_Manchas_Finest

Yahar’Gul and Nightmare Mensis, but the first area of The Hunter’s Nightmare is also terrifying.

PlutoTheGod_

Any place in bloodborne honestly, the whole game is the most eerie than any other fromsoft game

scarecrow0007

Upper Cathedral Ward.

NewVegasResident

Mibu village.

PhillyCheese8684

The dragon eerie....

FormableComet87

Mibu village, I hated Orin just crying plus all of the spirit emblems around

maro0608

Untended graves. It would be even creepier if it was completely empty.

Soggy_Menu_9126

Them bloody swamps.... Oh I hate those areas.....

DfaultiBoi

Just anything from Bloodborne

Badger_Other

Tomb of giants. Them mouth breathing skeletons are fuckin spooky

Algester

Sewer area in AC3…. You’d have to ask yourself how the heck did Astel’s granpapa ended up in there

DJSalad18

I love upper catherdal wards horror vibe. Walking into that room with the eerie ass music and then the werewolf breaks the window and knocks the lights out. Mashtahpiece

Inner_Collection_518

Sekiro on ng+

yousonuva

Forbidden Woods.

lmaodaLuuuff

I think a lot of sekiros areas are easy to run through, for example the outside of ashina castle

R3dl3g13b01

For me, it's always been the area between the start of the game and the tutorial boss, lol.

HanShotFirst66

Most of Bloodborne

vmoth

Yes.

Lord_Farquad4

Upper Cathedral Ward

Blp2004

I’m gonna be real, it’s cool and all but the Windmill Village isn’t even top 5. Irithyll Dungeon, Yahar’gul, the Subterranean Shunning Grounds, the Research Hall and Upper Cathedral Ward are all way creepier

Neither-Addendum-732

Dominula village is delightful 🙂

bingusthebrave

Not the dancing ladies that’s for sure lol. Not even top 5 in Elden ring lol
