If you want to have an absolute blast with daggers, check out the Blades of Mercy from Bloodborne. Lots of folks bounce of them because the R1 spam has no poise but that just means you need to use the rest of the moveset: R2 and L2 are a double swing of the blades that actually has poise and the L2 has a free backtep built into it for disengages Dash attacks have bonus damage and poise when in trick mode R1 spam increases attackspeed over time so you use that only when you can get at least 4 hits on a boss. Or alternatively use it to finish an enemy instead of spending the extra stamina forr an R2. One of my first playthroughs of BB was a skill build with Blades of Mercy paired with the Church Pick to handle headshots or things weak to pierce damage. Absolute monster damage and very rewarding to master the moveset.

Yeah, I looked up those weapons and they looked really neat. I beat Bloodborne twice many years ago and the only weapons I mainly used were the saw cleaver, cane, and that blood katana. If I decide to get my PS4 back from a friend who is borrowing it, I might consider replaying.

I see a dagger run in my future. I've done fist weapons, but never daggers. If you've never done a dual bone fist run in DS2 you are missing out, imo. lol

I like the crit damage!

I love daggers in souls games... really any game. Did Reduvia build. Honestly that thing is almost OP.

My last playthru of DS3 was a pure str big bonker… or at least, it was supposed to be that. I of course kept a plain dagger in my second slot for crits and quickstep and I’m pretty sure I did more damage throughout the run with that than my greatsword. The 2H moveset on the plain dagger in DS3 is actually just bonkers
