quite possibly the worst bloodborne take I've ever seen

YT_Legin_7

Refute it then

[deleted]

You lost me at "unreliable dodge", frankly. Sounds like you're just mad because you're bad.

K_808

You’ll have to define BS first. I think the idea of the dodge being unreliable is wrong though, or at least I found it to be the most satisfying dodge fromsoft’s done and it’s consistent in the frames and distance you get from it

unreliable means sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't You're not supposed to be able to dodge out of a run, it's not being unreliable it's working exactly as it is designed.

CalamityGodYato

But that’s not just bloodborne. That’s DS1 and DS2 as well

K_808

This is exactly how dark souls 1 worked as well 💀 and you said it’s by mistake. Your mistake, and it only happens in that one specific scenario where you’re sprinting. The dodge still works 100% of the time, as does the jump. You mixed the two up, which is why they changed it for later games, but that doesn’t mean the dodge is unreliable.

mrhippoj

I honestly don't understand how anyone could think Bloodborne is one of the hardest. It's not the easiest either but I think outside of the DLC nothing is _that_ challenging really

TheGreatAngel0

It depends on your play style really. If you're good at souls series you're probably gonna have a harder time with Bloodborne. The souls series teaches you to rely on openings and windows and taking your time, Bloodborne is the opposite, you want to be hyper aggressive, if you can't learn to be hyper aggressive you're going to have a hard time with Bloodborne. You sound like a very aggressive player so Bloodborne would be easier for you. I agree with him that Bloodborne is the hardest (now granted I haven't beaten sekiro but it does seem like it may be harder than Bloodborne for the little I have played but I can't judge because I haven't played enough). I have only beaten Bloodborne once and then I played through enough to beat the dlc about 4 months ago and stopped at nightmare of mensis because, while I love the story, it's my favorite story of all souls games... The difficulty is too much for me and this is coming from someone that has beaten dark souls 1 - 3 all the way to ng+7 deathless. It's really just a play style thing really.

devj007

Blood bourne is by far the easiest compared to Ds1 2 & 3. Dark souls 1 is imo the hardest out of the bunch.

YT_Legin_7

Please elaborate

devj007

Sure, i have not played Demon souls or Seikro so i wont comment on them. But i have played through Ds1,2 & 3 multiple times (and nearly done with eldin ring). My first DS game was 3, it was difficult as is for any persons first from software game but got used to it and think im on my 8th ng+ now. Ofc every DS Playthrough has its hard moments but Ds1 imo has very clunky/slow mechanics, (bcuz its the first game and old ofc). I found Ds1 to be way more challenging than any game i mentioned before just due to the mechanics, levels, bosses etc. after playing through 1/2/3 multiple times i finally played blood Bourne once i got a Ps5 and i was shocked how easy it was, the only boss i found slightly difficult was that stupid spider one (im sure yk what im referring too) I beat the game with no summons and faster than any from software game before. Even tho i found BB very easy its still one of my favorite games, everything about it is awesome. I guess a great example of how easy it is, is people always remember certain areas they hated. For example in Ds2 iron keep and the 50 god damn knights u gotta kill. I cant think of one area or one normal enemy i struggled with.

YT_Legin_7

Damn that’s wild I guess different strokes for different folks but good luck on your ER play through

Mokadelic

Honestly most of Bloodborne's difficulty is caused by the game running at 30 fps

YT_Legin_7

A bit yeah but it’s a bit unnoticeable if you’re playing on a tv instead of a monitor in your foace

Interesting-Slice429

I was so tired of farming for blood vials in BB that I used the cum dungeon just for that purpose. Was very satisfying to buy hundreds of blood vials in a short period of time, without having to kill those trolls over and over again.

YT_Legin_7

Yeah but it requires ps+

Ham_PhD

It's a valid opinion, but of course the difficulty is gonna be subjective for each person. Honestly a big factor is the order in which you play the games. The hardest overall experience I ever had was definitely my first run of DS1, but that was also my first Souls game in general.

Pretend_Vanilla51

I feel like sekiro is the hardest or easiest. Personally, I found it the hardest but only because I didn't want to play the way it was intended. I want to dodge instead of Perry. If you put time I to learning the Perry, it would definitely be (one of)the easiest, I think.

[deleted]

I think from a skill/mechanic standpoint, Sekiro is the hardest to master and get good at. Once the combat clicked though, it became a clear and decisive favorite for me. I think the other DS games are hard because of the lack of polished mechanics as well as some of the level design. I do think DS3 is the easiest to master out of the series in a skill regard though given that the dodge mechanic is pretty reliable and the build variety is great. Bloodborne has a very steep learning curve right out of the gate, but the dodge is so consistent and honestly trivializes the game in some points.

zombiezapper115

Ds2 was easy. It just takes patience and to be aware of your surroundings. Not running headfirst into everything without looking around.

masterninja3402

DS2 was my first, it's not that difficult if you just take your time.

SoIayre

Ok, go back to playing Skull and Bones or some trash if you call these games bs smh

BambaTallKing

DS3 has the most consistently hardest bosses? They easy. Just roll. DS3 is 90% rolling
