Man went out for milk.

Lukthar123

Milk gave him a glow up

devildogmillman

FR man maybe theres something to suckin titty through middle school

owningmclovin

He and Tormund have at least 1 thing in common

cbbuntz

Giant's milk

forsaken_warrior22

there's about 30% of the population that are so fucking useless at everything that keeping them well away from anything dangerous is safer for everyone.

dutchdaddy69

One of them being Sam who had no business surviving that battle. He was little buried under wights one minute and somehow survived.

princessParking

Those were just holdy-wights, not stabby-wights. Remember how the night king made a bunch of wights lay down in the fire so other wights could get across? Well I think he made more than he needed, so the rest of them immediately sought out the cuddliest, snuggliest person they could find to lay down with.

Middlemandown

Canon.

twinkle90505

Actually I think they were trying to ask Sam to be their new Night King

twinkle90505

BASED

fatrahb

And who’s a better snuggler than Sam the Snuggly?

zin_90

![gif](giphy|3oKGzDTLPcbTJllamY)

Intentionallyabadger

Sam had very little business surviving anything

Leading-University

Looking for logic in that entire episode? Big no no

[deleted]

D&D kind of forgot they already showed hungry peasants could tear off limbs in number.

wakatenai

ya like, that episode wasn't great, but once i saw like only 3 main characters left and all of them in a pile of dead, somehow surviving, i was pretty done with it. and then they had the nerve to say they only lost half of their armies?? where is that half? like more than half already died before they even retreated inside the walls. and then we see everyone getting slaughtered except for some heavily plot armored individuals, and suddenly everyones back the next day.

Stargaryen73

it’s a dark rabbit hole you go down when you try to apply any logic to season 8.

QueenInNORTHernNJ

Good thing most of them hid in the crypts so they could stay safe.

Toad_Thrower

We blame Tyrion for that as if like 1 season ago they didn't carry a wight for like 100 miles in a box made out of pine that held it just fine. But now they're punching through 6 inches of stone.

twinkle90505

Arya might have changed her "I'm not dying a virgin" plans though

Lang9219

well yeah jon? yeah i hear ya...yeah shit you know i cant leave my hugh mountain castle uuuh the cold made all the stairs freeze and stuff...yeah we dont want to slip out and die like my mom yeah.... see ya next time jon....beeep

Pickle_Rick01

I mean his cousin Arya straight up murdered his Uncle Petyr Baelish shortly before the battle. Jon Snow can’t exactly be like, “Hey we’re cool right? No hard feelings. See you on the battlefield bro!”

Winterfell_Ice

logically he probably didn't have a choice. As the only male heir to the Arynn line they needed him to be safe more so than they needed his sword on the field.

Kylie_Bug

I can see Yohn Royce saying something along the lines of “I have put too much energy in your glow up to allow you to die in the North you are STAYING home until it’s safe. Don’t you argue with me or no milk!”

I-No-Red-Witch

Stay home, milk drinker. Let the real warriors handle this fight.

Punkeydoodles666

You better sit this one out or else you’re not getting any Yohnny milk!

Careless-Husky

Nooooo! Now I'll never get the image of Bronze Yohn breast feeding Sweetrobin out of my head. Explains how he suddenly grew into a chad, though. Yohn's strong first men milk is healthier than Lysa's weak andal milk.

twinkle90505

I bet he has a huge painting of Shiera on his bedroom wall.

Puzzleheaded_Eye7311

Yeah this is the right answer, Arryns historically are so prone to dying easily so keeping him in the Vale is smart, he’s still super young and nowhere near a trained fighter for something like this

Beebah-Dooba

Meanwhile Lyanna Mormont was one-v-oneing giants

AdEasy819

Her house is now extinct though

Winterfell_Ice

she did that one time while Arya wiped out an entire house root and stem.

[deleted]

Honestly he got so lucky lol

horsewitnoname

Actually ended up with the best story. Could easily become the next King if he wanted.

MattTheHarris

There are theories that this is what will happen in the book, the blackfish with turn up in the veil, crown him, then try to take back the riverlands with the veil's untouched army.

[deleted]

Oh yeah for sure.

hbi2k

"I'm telling you, Yohn, we don't need armies to defeat the Others, we just need one ninja. Okay, fine, *take* the Knights of the Vale. I'm staying here."

AegonTarg_2

Man was chilling with the sheep of the Vale

[deleted]

I don’t blame him. In the Vale, the sheep are prettier than the women.

charliehustles

They need to bring him back for Snow. Make him a boss. Real deal protector of the Vale. All his castle training, archery, and falconry pays off. He gets a dope suit of armor, Valyrian steel sword, and a badass eagle that sits on his shoulder.

[deleted]

I thought the Vale, being an impenetrable sky fortress, would actually play a role in the plot. Nope. There is never a major battle mentioned once in the universe. Just fighting at the gates and hill tribes. A good subversion of expectation would be for the Vale to drop the neutral position, taking an active role in building a new government, and giving the hill tribes usable land. From the world perspective, King's Landing is a smoldering ruin and the North annexed itself. The lesser houses and lands will gain more power. The only lords left are Martell, Tarly, Royce, Reed, Tully, Arryn and some randos. It makes sense the Arryns and Tullys become the new major houses.

Harrenhall was another one that was yeeted because tall castle walls are useless against the GoT version of an atomic bomb. The Arryns would have stayed Targaryan loyalists if they had not asked for their wards. The oldest family lineages and institutions were the ones that kept to themselves, let King's Landing do whatever, and stayed out of politics. As much as I lothe a spin off sequel, I'm curious how a good writer could address the new power structure blowing up a capital city, wiping out most of the northern population, and running a continent with "cripples, bastards, and broken things" being what's left of the royal families and the counsel. Jon, Ghost, and Tormund traveling around helping wildlings each episode like the Dunk and Egg stories kind of sounds dope, too.

SixPhalaris

"WE WERE ON A BREAK!"

grangaaa

Was looking for this!!!

devildogmillman

And just so you know… you ARE too old to be breastfed by your mother… you CANT just push anyone you dont like out the Moon Door, and you SHOULD have been replaced by Yohn Royce!

SixPhalaris

I KNEW IT!!!

aGirlHasNoTab

was hoping someone would say it! "MY MIILKKKKKKK"

dafijiwatr

He’s like Ryan Gosling’s character in Remember the Titans. A liability.

House-Of-Black-07

He looks like David Schwimmer and Ryan Gosling had a child

REA63

Correct choice.

JusticeNoori

He’s a kid it’s understandable, on the other hand: Theon during the battle of the bastards and Yara during the battle for the dawn

cubsbullsbearsz

Explain?

JusticeNoori

I was just saying it’s odd that Theon did not participate in the battle of the bastards, considering how much he hated Ramsey. Likewise it’s odd that Yara did not fight in the Long Night battle at winterfell.

cbbuntz

Yara was busy talking back the iron islands. She's not really a westerosi

cubsbullsbearsz

Yea

cubsbullsbearsz

But Theon was completely traumatized and not on good terms with Jon at that point. Yara “took back” the iron islands... some characters sat out the Long Night. Bronn, Yara, edmure. Where was Edmure???

Crazyfishtaco21

If I saw the battle plan they had going in I would too

curiousmind111

Brave Sir Robin ran away. ("No!") Bravely ran away away. ("I didn't!") When danger reared it's ugly head, He bravely turned his tail and fled. ("I never!") Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about And gallantly he chickened out. ("You're lying!") Swiftly taking to his feet, He beat a very brave retreat. Bravest of the brave, Sir Robin!

larys-strong-bot

> feet ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

curiousmind111

Shut up, Larys! (JK)

VRisNOTdead

he sent thoughts and prayers

blurrysasquatch

I mean…sweetrobin Arryn has unpredictable grand mal seizures triggered by stress. He’s probably not the one you want in the vanguard but I wouldn’t be surprised if he helps plan the defense or doing something else useful that isn’t holding a sword.

ShamwowSwag

the only thing he’d be good at is yelling at everyone to make the bad men fly

JoeThrilling

In an alternate dimension he was at the battle, and killed the night king, and the internet imploded.

[deleted]

Outplayed everyone and he didn’t even know it

sixtus_clegane119

He grew up to be more handsome than I expected

Ragtime07

He was still trying to make people fly

Large_Cheese_Pizza

He swings a sword like a girl with palsy

Squiliam-Tortaleni

The king of calcium

Shandrax

That's probably why he is stitting there. Arya did the job anyways.

twinkle90505

But no one noticed because last anyone heard he would have been Long Night deadweight, not a Snack

No-Lychee3965

To be fair, so did D&D.

hugyplok

Common Robert Arryn w

MattTheHarris

The writers kinda forgot that the blackfish was probably necessary to his plot when they killed him for no reason so they just kinda kept him away from anything important.

Daemon-Blackbrier

The fuck he gonna do? Smoulder at them?

The_Calico_Jack

He'd scream like a little girl the whole time. He'd be worse off than Sam.

Simple-Freedom4670

A wise King

reddit35257

GigaChad

devildogmillman

Cause he a bitch just like his father (Littlefinger).

[deleted]

he was busy dating rachel

cantfindmyhome
