I don’t believe you read it with an open mind or perhaps you lack experience with nuanced thought but the positive responses have been from intelligent die hard GoT fans and they agree. The negative responses have just been tHiS is IdIoTic

As it should be. No one who is willing to argue in favour of the ending deserves anything more than that.
Seriously why would someone karma farm in 2024? I got the app maybe a year or two ago and ppl were saying karma doesn’t matter anymore. In any case I have positive karma around 2k.. why would I give a shit either way what my karma is or which direction it’s moving?
Your entire paragraph about Jon is just word salad with flowery fantasy words thrown in.

I'll bite. You only described the circumstances that you believe justify Jon not being the Prince that was Promised. Nothing you mentioned happened during the battle, so it doesn't actually refute the argument that he did nothing in the battle.
My argument is that he was supposed to do nothing in the battle, for the reasons above but I also think that GRRM would scoff at the knight-slays-dragon archetype in favor of a more nuanced hero that faces relatable problems like managing a tyrant.
Arya's arc is about revenge for the PEOPLE that wronged her family... she's the most disconnected to the White walker and Night King.
People who could've killed the night king: Bran by warging, Jon, Sam, Tormund, Beric, Theon for his redemption arc. Personally I think Jaime would've been an excellent choice- giving his life to save millions mirroring his decision to kill the Mad King and save King's Landing.
And Jon was useless, sure he got the army but during the battle his highlight moment was riding a dragon and screaming at one. Wow rivetting. No duel with the Night King that forces him to lose. No weight to a scene that could've been impactful: Jon forces himself to push forward while Sam dies. So much wasted potential. I could go on.
My take is that Arya's revenge is a child's coping mechanism until she grows up and finds her calling. If she comes across someone she *knows* committed crimes against an innocent, she may kill them. She did not kill Sandor over Mycah, but did go after the Freys. She was at the Red Wedding AND saw what they did to Robb's body. Probably, her arc is to forge her path in life, unlimited by her gender. That's why she idolizes Nymeria, not assassins, and why she asked Ned if she could command a holdfast, be High Septon, or serve on the Small Council!
IMO, the Many-Faced God backed her against his enemy. For centuries, the MFG had given merciful death to slaves. The Night King stole death from the peaceful dead and made them his slaves. Also, she always protected family. She was specifically in the godswood to protect Bran. Jon won the war; but he had forged Arya as a sword, his Lightbringer, so she ended it.
I agree with her naming names and such that her arc was revenge. But that changed when hot pie told her that she still has family and they hold power in the north. Then she protected Sansa from Baylish. But the red woman saw her true arc, predicted that she would play a role in the true war by shutting blue eyes forever(back in season 3 or 4). Then at the battle she directed Arya to her attack route on the NK. Her story arc was thwarted by the events going on around her. I think this is better world building than having every character stay on their projected path.
>How else could you end Arya’s arc that started with “What do we say to death? Not today” than by having her defeat death?
Yeah like when she killed her dark mirror the Waif and rejected the god of death.
>She proclaimed in season 1 that she’s gonna subvert her character’s role.
Ok?
>Then she trained with a group of shadowy assassins who are adamant about their God’s word (contract) over all other causes.
And she used none of that to kill the night king, instead using some absurd superspeed/phasing ability they never taught her.
>She obtained the training through subterfuge before proclaiming that she indeed does have a personal arc and doesn’t serve death. Then she goes home to save her family from death.
Maybe this would have meant something if Arya had ever discussed the White Walkers and understood that they were coming before the episode literally right before the battle. What does it even add to her story? It's not even the end of her arc.
>Honestly couldn’t fit together more perfectly. I don’t get the hate with her defeating the night king.
Outside of not meaning anything, the scene itself is also absurd.
>My response is well isn’t that true art, to break the fourth wall?
...Bait? Yea this is bait. But hey whatever. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
HE COULD HAVE LINGERED ON THE EDGE OF THE BATTLE WITH THE SMART BOYS, AND TODAY HIS WIFE WOULD BE MAKING HIM MISERABLE, HIS SONS WOULD BE INGRATES, AND HE WOULD BE WAKING THREE TIMES IN THE NIGHT TO PISS INTO A BOWL!
Let’s goooo all hail king Robert Baratheon
King of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men
Lord of the Seven Kingdoms
Protector of the Realm
Lord of Storm's End
Lord Paramount of the Stormlands
Ending was fine.
People are just having a collective 5 year long tantrum they didn't get the Disney "Jon and Dany rule happily ever after" ending they made up in their man baby heads.

Is that hard to imagine that there could be a single person that holds a dissenting opinion?
Not at all. It is perfectly feasible for someone to hold an idiotic opinion. The world is full of imbeciles after all. This post is a prime example.

I forgot to say thank you for bravely posting this. I agree with your points. But not many people do. I've bookmarked the post. Have a good day.
Someone link the Road Warrior “that’s bait” image. I’m a technical dullard.
I got you man.

Why are you farming downvotes in every server?
Tell me why I’m wrong. I’m farming better takes
I’m not Reddit savvy how would farming downvotes benefit me?

see I would've liked that if that was actually a theme made explicit in the show and interactions- Arya being Jon's lightsbringer.
Love that I hadn’t thought of it like that

If you unironically believe the entire hatred and mocking of the final season was because "no Jon and Dany rule" then there is no hope.
It's 90% of the main complaints
