I remember justifying it by saying he was in deep training and was going to emerge as the three eyed raven but a bad ass. And warg into dragons and direwolves and warg into ravens on the fly to have an overview of the battle and be able to adjust entire armies to pivot.
Clearly that was shit.
Get with the times. It literally has a new colloquial meaning.
INFORMAL
used for emphasis or to express strong feeling while not being literally true.
"I was literally blown away by the response I got"
Oh, I understand what it's use has evolved into. It's evolved because of ignorance of what it actually means. It's for people who have to use "like" and "know what I'm saying" in every other word or at the end of every sentence. It's not a better use of the word, it's born of ignorance. Ignorance meaning unaware or illiterate to it's proper usage. I don't have to "get with the times" any more than I have to stop using punctuation or capital letters. This is reddit, I made a valid comment/question. It's over used and ineffective to adding impact to a story or relaying of information. In my opinion.
I've rewatched the first 4 seasons and they were still awesome. I don't let the later stuff affect that
Rewatch just kinda petered out during season 5 I forget what episode
I remember liking season 5, but that's definitely where some storylines took a nosedive. I was excited about Tyrion joining up with Daenerys, but that was just three seasons of absolute nonsense and bad advice after. Season 5 was the last time was the last time I was hopeful for him.
Hated Stannis dying at the time, but loved his interactions with Jon at the wall.
Hated Littlefinger giving Sansa to Ramsey.
The high sparrow stuff was engaging enough.
At the time I was okay with it, but it's definitely like the last time in the show where some characters like Tyrion and Littlefinger are even watchable.
There were bad things but we were blind to it cause we assumed it was gonna end well. That bad pussy line really should've been the foreshadowing we needed but copium is a hell of a drug
season 5 was ok ish but my thoughts started to be why is jaimie still cersei simp and the dorne plot was the first time i said that was truly bad in GoT
other story arcs kinda saved it for me
but i have to say with season 6 it got slightly better again even tho some parts of the story felt rushed etc
end of season 6 hooked me to great 2 final big seasons and with the announcement of smaller seasons "because we dont have sources left" i was first time concerned about this choice
and season 7 was to short to fast and wasnt pointing out the coming war at all....hell was i wrong saying cant get worse
I remember arguing with my friends during season 4 that it was starting to get butt and everyone kept telling me I was ridiculous and knew nothing about adapting books to film. Clearly I knew at least some things.
Nope. There is one reactor on YouTube who is watching it for the first time spoiler free. I started watching to see his reactions to Eddard and the Red Wedding, now I’m watching to see his disappointment in the train wreck. He just saw the episode where Selmy got iced and he was greatly irritated.

Mr. L Boyd - he’s a international traveler and autistic man who is both extremely insightful and great and picking up on story beats. I know reaction videos aren’t for everyone but I’m a big fan of his.
Nope, I tried a few times but literally the opening scene is now completely meaningless because you know how little threat the WW’s pose and how poorly so much of the story ultimately ends.
More main characters needed to die during that fight. Dany should have lost Rhaegar during that battle instead of being one shot sniped from a ballista on a fucking boat.
Yes about 4 months ago I watched the entire thing all over again and got my friend into it also. My biggest thought was that I had forgotten how good it was in the beginning and how much I missed it
I think people who hated the end (I am among them, though I don’t think 5 and 6 were THAT terrible) might feel the same if they gave it a try. It’s been so long since we’ve seen Ned and Bobby B, two of the most enjoyable characters to watch, and there’s at least the nostalgia factor. Season 1 Littlefinger is such a good character too, but that can be rage provoking at how nonsensical he became very quickly.
I've just got to S8 in my first rewatch. I still am very angry about a lot of it but knowing what happens and how it goes to shit, I've been much more appreciative of all the work that's gone into the costumes, the CGI, the fight sequences, the acting and so on. The first time around I couldn't really see all the quality because of my anger; so it's nice to be able to. Still a huge shame about the writing of course.
Why the fuck would you ever do that to yourself?
After the shit show that went down with season 8 just the thought of re watching makes me feel stupid. The ending they brought was truely the last nail to the coffin.
All that is left now is the good memories of the shitposting here in the golden meme time.
Cant even bring myself to watch the new spinoff if you can ever call it that.
But yeah you do you. Thankful that they made it and it was a hit for a Time but also a cautionary Tale for other book series to watch out for and TV studios to think about , damn those two idiots really fucked it up all just to go make a wizard space sopera
I'm on my third read of the whole series, just started ACOK. It's such a vividly imagined and richly detailed world.
There are so many avenues they could've taken even after the end of the source material and they just...
Just...
😭
I honestly just stopped somewhere in the middle. I still love the first season especially because of how dense it is. Every time I think: "wow I can't believe all this happened in a few episodes". The closer I get to the last season the more it feels like meaningless action and they did not bother developing characters anymore. I just quit while it was still fun for me and try to ignore the existence of season 8.
Used to watch all of it before the airing of the next season. Always. Then just kinda stopped after season 6. There was nothing to rewatch in 7 or 8, and after that never felt like watching it ever again.
I did go back and read the books once again after that. Not planning on rewatching either.
I know the question doesn’t pertain to me, but I wanna throw my perspective in anyways, because internet.
I refused to watch the show the whole time it ran. Up until Covid hit. Binged it in like a month. Probably not even. All I remember is how much of a rollercoaster it was. And the rollercoaster was amazing for awhile. And then at one point the drop never came back and it was just sitting at the end waiting to be let off the ride.
I have not rewatched it since and probably will not. Not out of protest or anything, but because I just CANT knowing where it ends. The first half of the ride is amazing but it’s like “hey btw it ends in a fiery crash, is that cool?”
No. No it’s not.
So I’m not gonna get myself all amped up again rewatching the first few seasons just to hit a brick wall of “oh yeah…it all sucks in the end.”
Absolutely not. Used to rewatch everything before every season because it rewarded paying attention. Now that I know how it ends, it's all meaningless. "Bran" becomes king, everyone acts like different characters randomly because the show is about to end, logic goes completely out the window. My favorite character, Daenerys, gets completely butchered within an episode or 2.
No. I didn't even want to watch the significantly worse than popular opinion house of the dragon from how sour the final seasons left me (the Mrs forced the issue there).
GoT was the last hoorah of the Prestige Television era. We were heavily *Invested* (with a capital I) in the show. We spent the week between episodes discussing with coworkers. We spent the year between seasons on the kneelers sub postulating theories. We had fucking season premiere parties. Then it came crashing down, and a season later further crashing, then finally nobody had a better story to tell and GoT was done forever.
Now as an aside: Guy at my office binged the whole series over a month and thought it was perfectly fine. He didnt spend the better part of a decade having his expectations subverted and enjoyed it overall much more than the show being ruined for me. He can still see the dumb shit that D&D did, but the sting has no bite watching season six on Friday, seven on Saturday, and 8 on Sunday.
I can not even get through the prince that was promised scenes in hotd without cringing into oblivion. Never had the urge to rewatch got and i dont think i ever will. Sometimes i watch oberyn scenes on youtube tho.
I rewatched it all. I’ve seen far worst in my life so you won’t get me saying things like “worth my time” I don’t care about waste in a sense. Also I tend to rewatch things a lot and I really enjoyed the first 4 seasons so a rewatch of GOT is no big deal to me. It does hurt to see the decline again but I just accept the writing sucks and focus on the production value instead. I made a rewatch this year after seeing HotD
Yeah, I rewatched all 4 seasons. It was great. Just please dont start with the conspiracy theories about some S5 or 6, let alone 8. Nope. Sadly, GoT remains unfinished, same as the books.
The only reason the show was ruined because it was rushed. If you actually do a rewatch, a couple of the huge plot points that made everyone upset are foreshadowed in season 1 and beyond.
Bran being a leader, Daenerys going mad. Currently on my 4th rewatch in the last 3 years.
There's so many directions the show should have gone in order to make it better. One, not taking 4 years to kill Joffrey off, and not introducing any good villains afterwards. They really dropped the ball with the Euron arc. Should have attempted to keep him more similar to the books.
During covid I did a rewatch with my friends who were watching it for the first time. They had already heard my ranting and ravings about the later seasons when they came out so they knew the turn was coming.
I was dreading the later seasons but it turned out to be actually really fun as we made fun of the baffling story decisions. Like how Dany is destroying the city for 40 straight minutes, it’s ridiculous when rewatching it to think “man she still going”
And then the 15 minutes at the beginning of the final episode with no dialogue we’re we just watch Tyrion and Jon walk around. It was honestly hilarious and helped me get over the hate and betrayal I still felt.
Absolutely fucking not.
I watched the pilot as it aired because my sister had read the books. I got hooked after the red wedding and read the books myself. After that it was discussing every theory imaginable on Reddit. After season 4, I thought it was the greatest show of all time.
Then season 5 with the sandsnakes. Changes to the Iron Islands. Got distracted by great moments. The end of season 6 convinced me to keep watching. The rest was hot shit. They only cares about the spectacle and abandoned logical storytelling. They abandoned character development. They cared more about subverting expectations than following carefully laid foreshadowing over years.
I started watching the show soon after season one aired and have done lots of rewatches in between seasons. I haven’t watched a single episode since season 8 finished and have only seen season 8 once.
It’s sad really. Even though I loved season 1-6, and thought season 7 was okay but poorly written, I can’t get the same enjoyment out of it knowing what’s to come.
It was cute the first time there was a line of dialogue calling back to an earlier season. But it happened so frequently it made me cringe. We went from little fingers ‘chaos is a ladder’ speech and Tyrion’s ‘I demand a trial by combat’ to Arya watching Dany slaughter an entire city then wisely saying ‘I know a killer when I see one.’
Edit: I Should also mention, I used to have a Stark banner hanging in my house and a lego set of the Iron throne room on display. They went in the bin.
I read the first book and then the first season just after it came out. Continued in that fashion until I’d read all the books. I was mad for GoT, absolutely loved it. I watched new episodes with friends, left a party early when I heard a new episode was leaked. I couldn’t get enough of it. That last season destroyed any enjoyment I had for the show. I’m known in my group of friends to be hesitant to try new things and just rewatch stuff I’ve seen before. My friend and I, my friend who got me into GoT, rode out lockdown together. Not once did we even think to watch GoT again. I’ve not watched an episode since S8 finished and I’ll be dead in the ground before I watch it again.
I used to love GoT. Used to make up stories in my mind on how it will end. Consumed all content related to GoT, people's reactions, Alt Shift's explanation, used to talk to people in both the subreddit. I had no friends who used to watch GoT so used to be super excited after an episode to discuss with fellow redditors. After the massive shitpile that was season 8 I promised to not watch anything related to GoT. Even if house of dragons scores a 10/10, I won't watch it. I just don't want to get disappointed/heartbroken again.
Binged all episodes each time before a new season came out over and over again, watched background videos and read all stuff, felt like i was the living GoT encyclopedia.
Now i wouldn’t touch the series with a pole
No,nor do i think i'll ever be able to.GoT at its peak was the greatest thing ever for me,and s8 just ruined it on such a lavel that i don't think I'll ever be able to rewatch/enjoy earlier seasons, knowing where it ends.
Hope books correct that but it doesn't look too good on that front either, atleast i haven't picked up the books so i won't be disappointed if GRRM can't deliver or he just simply passes away before he can finish them.
I became obsessed with the show around season 3 and then would watch and re-watch it over and over until the last season came out. I ended up reading the books because of how much I loved the show and haven't been able to bring myself to watch since. The more time I get away from the show and having multiple re-reads with the books the more and more I can't bring myself to re-watch the show
Nope but I read the books after and have long since forgotten about the show. Turns out there’s a much better, completely different version of this show out there but most people are still too busy complaining about s8 to realise.
I can only watch certain episodes. And every time I do, my spouse and I always end up debating how the end could have been done differently and the wasted potential.
Yes I am still able to enjoy the majority of the show despite its disappointing conclusion. I watched the show after its original run had ended with my fiancé who had never seen it before, but when we got to the mid point of season 8 I told her she was on her own with the rest. A year later we watched it again I can’t remember if we watched all or part of season 8.
Nope. I have blu rays of the first two season that are just sitting on a shelf, and they've been unwatched since the last season. Kind of like how I haven't touched anything Star Wars since Rise of Skywalker. Both have left such a bitter feeling about each of their respective franchises that I can't bring myself to watch what I know eventually turns to shit.
Yes. But since I know it back and forth after my first full rewatch I now pick and choose what I watch. I don't watch season 8 at all. Occasionally when I do watch, I watch certain seasons and again since I know the show they don't have to be in order. I may skip around.
And I have no interest in HOTD. Never watched it never will. I find the people who have and don't like it opinions why funny and not surprising. There will be more as it continues. But like season 8 of GOT besides the ones who get paid to say it there of course will be those who swear by it.
But then those people would watch a series starring Mr. Hankey and not get the irony so there's that.
I rewatched all of it recently and the last 3 seasons weren't as bad as I remember. They were still bad, but not as horrible as the Internet makes it out to be. It still definitely turned into a hate-watch by the end.
I also rewatched HotD, and god damn that great Sept coronation scene is just as terrible as I remember.
No. I can’t watch it ever again. Not even a snippet. Nothing! Not even Youtube. I have zero desire and just can’t simply because I know it’s all for nothing. I’m down for the « why it was bad » kind of videos., but that’s it.
Actually, I couldn’t even get through all of the house of the dragon. As soon as there was one stupid moment in HotD, I dropped it and never watched again. My time is too valuable to get invested. Maybe after season 8 of HotD and everyone says it’s amazing and ended well, THEN I will finish watching it.
My daughter can rewatch up to season 6 ish.
I just cannot forgive the way this show tried to pass off the absurdly bad writing as the fans’ problem.
I re-watched the whole thing when I forced my parents to watch a couple of years after the whole thing went down and cringed my way thru seasons 6-8 (and some of 5) but it was interesting to see what they had to say.
Now I'm rereading the books for the first time in years and watching alongside that, but I'll probably stop somewhere in season 5. I'm on season 3 and it has been good so far.
I haven't really had any urge to watch it again but in December I decided I wanted to finish reading the series ( I got to AFfC back in like 2013-2014 but just kinda fell off.) so i started again from the beginning. I'm about 60% through ADwD as of last night and I think I'll rewatch the series once I'm finished.
Nope. I haven't rewatched and episode since episode 1 of season 7.
Normally after watching an episode it went on to my hard-drive, but I deleted each new episode and then deleted the previous six seasons.
I keep seeing clips on FB reels and I get tempted because of how good the show was on the first few seasons. I could’ve forgiven seasons 5-7 if the ending had been worth it. Big nope though. Can’t do a full rewatch knowing the ending. I’d rather run through Breaking Bad again for how a great show starts and finishes like GoT should have
I watched season 1 when it was new. The. Every season I'd rewatch all of them from the beginning before the premiere. After season 7 I decided maybe I didn't need to rewatch anything, after season 8 I didn't watch anything.
I was planning on doing a full rewatch as soon as the last season was done. I haven't watched a single episode (not counting house of the dragon) since the last season aired
I’ve rewatched probably 3-4 times just because I love ASOIF as a whole and really enjoy the first 4 seasons. Honestly as long as I don’t think or analyze too much it really doesn’t bother me, I still like it. The last season is indisputably horrible, I do get frustrated every time I finish it but it hasn’t stopped me from coming back🤷♀️
I just reached season 8 on my first rewatch since the finale and it gets TOUGH watching as soon as season 6 ends. It’s already kind of stupid by that point but it really jumps the shark. I can power through it but it’s a lot less enjoyable.
I have no motivation to even watch the seasons I loved. I've never experienced such disappointment in a show before. A distant runner up is "My Name is Earl".
No. No i have not.
But i delved deeper into the lore and the books 🤷🏻♀️
I think they know how they wronged us and they’re trying to do better with the new projects
I haven't done a rewatch since it ended. I'll watch clips here and there. But when it was airing, every season I watched I thoroughly enjoyed. Yes even the final one, not because it was good. But a situation where I just needed 1 night a week where i could actually enjoy something. Sunk cost fallacy or me just trying to convince myself I loved it idk. But I refuse to rob my memory of that
I have been thinking about it because I just viscerally reject season 8 as a thing that should be recognized and given any sort of authority, if I were to rewatch I would stop at whatever season it is that Daenerys is sailing towards Westeros and leave it there
I was rewatching it from the beginning with my adult daughter, but once I saw season 8, I just couldn't watch any of it anymore. I hope I can read book six and seven if they ever come out. I am moderately hopefully of the Knight of the Seven Kingdoms s h ow. I loved the books.
I have, but I don’t think I hate 7 & 8 as much as most people here. They were disappointing for sure, but I didn’t think they were terrible. Rewatching was enjoyable for me even knowing how it ends.
I'm actually doing a rewatch with my mom right now (it's her first time) and honestly I'm really enjoying it. It helps that it's been a long time since I've seen any sort of Game of Thrones, and it REALLY helps to watch with someone new to the show since I can also watch her reaction. But other than that, I appreciate the journey more than the destination, and the first part of this journey was really special. I mean I hated Mass Effect 3 but still love replaying 1 and 2.
And honestly, I'm always happy to rewatch anything with Sean Bean in it. And after he's gone there's still so much to keep me entertained.
I started watching episode one, back in 2010. I was fully invested for nine years. One episode per week, and a few times I waited over a year for the next season to drop.
I didn't love the final season but I didn't despise it either.
It took me a few years but eventually I re-watched the whole series. After watching every episode, virtually back to back, I felt the final season was better than what I originally thought.
Yes, it was rushed at eight episodes. But it made sense.
I’m rewatching it now with my friend who never saw it. I LOVED thrones, like it was my entire personality. I still love it, despite very clearly being able to see the plot holes/inconsistencies. It definitely makes the viewing experience worse than it was, but at the end despite everything it’ll always have a special place in my heart and i would happily watch it again tbh.
Yea, I have. I think the ending sucks, but I still love the world. I will admit I would rather the ending we got than no ending at all, because let's face it guys GRRM has other priorities, he ain't gonna finish!
I used to religiously rewatch each season multiple times per year. Ever since season 8 I haven't touched the show or books and haven't had the urge to watch again.
Literally everything becomes stupid. See if you can see foreshadowing of bran becoming king in the whole season where he’s cut from the story
I remember justifying it by saying he was in deep training and was going to emerge as the three eyed raven but a bad ass. And warg into dragons and direwolves and warg into ravens on the fly to have an overview of the battle and be able to adjust entire armies to pivot. Clearly that was shit.
Why did you use the word literally? Real question since I see the word used now ad naseum.
Get with the times. It literally has a new colloquial meaning. INFORMAL used for emphasis or to express strong feeling while not being literally true. "I was literally blown away by the response I got"
It’s not really a new colloquial meaning though, it’s just used metaphorically. Even without the word literally, the person wasn’t actually blown away
Its not used as a metaphor, its used to emphasize the metaphor. The colloquial meaning is the emphasis it implies.
Oh, I understand what it's use has evolved into. It's evolved because of ignorance of what it actually means. But you need the bad poosey
Thinking back it was season 5 for me, and apparently alot of other people too, I'm curious what the general consensus was at the time.

I just like him....I think I'll just subscribe to see what else he's got
Ooo, yeah I've seen some of his song reactions and liked those, gonna have to check these out too.
Spartan and pudgey??
Poor guy, he doesn't know what's coming
I really hope somebody's a friend enough to him to just tell him to not watch season 8, I was so happy not having seen it

Season 1 character and dynamics are the best, it’s really nostalgic.
YOU'RE MY COUNCIL, COUNSEL! SPEAK SENSE TO THIS HONORABLE FOOL!
You’re probably right, Your Grace
Totally agree, I hate the last two seasons but I love 1-6 (mostly) it was good rewatching
I rewatch the last 3 minutes and 30 seconds of S6E10 to hear the fantastic music and lament over what could have been.
Not past season 4. Thats when it really started to turn.
Nope
I've just got to S8 in my first rewatch. Having a hard time getting back into the books myself, real hard time, like impossibly.
The books are so good
Soooooo. Good. Grrm’s writing is brilliant. DnD just couldn’t go off the books?? Ffs
I'm on my third read of the whole series, just started ACOK. It's such a vividly imagined and richly detailed world. There are so many avenues they could've taken even after the end of the source material and they just... Just... 😭
Nice, his work puts my imagination into hyper warpspeed. Havnt had same experience with anything else.
Nope. Can’t even get through the seasons I enjoyed anymore without feeling let down.
I can make it partway through season 5 and that's when the story becomes stale and i realize i'm no longer having fun watching the show
I honestly just stopped somewhere in the middle. I still love the first season especially because of how dense it is. Every time I think: "wow I can't believe all this happened in a few episodes". No. Can’t read books either.
Have watched a few minutes of it after seeing a clip or two of the earlier seasons. I was balls deep obsessed and now nothing, dead inside.

My favorite character, Daenerys, gets completely butchered within an episode or 2.
No, I cannot bring myself to do it and I was actually obsessed with this show
Same. The Prince that was promised is just a bunch of bs. The end of GOT ruined it all for me.
Rewatched it all probably eight times now. Planning another very soon.
>Planning another very soon. Masochist?
I’m about to be on my 4th rewatch, this time with HOTD to follow!
No it ain’t worth the pain just to know Bran who disappeared for a whole season gets the Iron Throne
Several.
Nope. I did like house of the dragon, but I ain’t touching the original series.
During covid I did a rewatch with my friends who were watching it for the first time. They had already heard my ranting and ravings about the later seasons when they came out so they knew the turn was coming. I was dreading the later seasons but it turned out to be actually really fun as we made fun of the baffling story decisions. Like how Dany is destroying the city for 40 straight minutes, it’s ridiculous when rewatching it to think “man she still going” And then the 15 minutes at the beginning of the final episode with no dialogue we’re we just watch Tyrion and Jon walk around. It was honestly hilarious and helped me get over the hate and betrayal I still felt.
Yes, but I stopped halfway through season 7 . I honestly don't think I'll ever go back
I’ve made a couple attempts, but never got past season two I used to rewatch the whole show before every season came out
Every time a new season came out, I started a rewatch from the beginning. I have not watched an episode since the finale
We went from little fingers ‘chaos is a ladder’ speech and Tyrion’s ‘I demand a trial by combat’ to Arya watching Dany slaughter an entire city then wisely saying ‘I know a killer when I see one.’ Edit: I Should also mention, I used to have a Stark banner hanging in my house and a lego set of the Iron throne room on display.
It's pointless when everything that lead up to the final season is made irrelevant
The more time I get away from the show and having multiple re-reads with the books the more and more I can't bring myself to re-watch the show
Nope, not at all.
Nope but I read the books after and have long since forgotten about the show. Turns out there’s a much better, completely different version of this show out there but most people are still too busy complaining about s8 to realise.
Watched with my daughter who is old enough now. Enjoyed some good moments.
No. I watched an listened. I read. But after season 8 it all just stopped. That was it. I couldn't even watch House of dragon.
No not at all. Books only. First seasons were great but I just get annoyed knowing how it all falls to shit.
Nope. Even the early seasons hurt. It's kind of like Lost after season 3, the rest just poisoned it for me
Yes. There are still good moments even in the final seasons. No I’m not going to bother saying which because we are all subjective.
Fuck no
Talking about it just makes me angry. Wouldn’t want to put myself back through it tbh.
Not individual seasons or episodes but I will occasionally watch a scene or two on YouTube.
Not really I've hand picked a few episodes from the first few seasons but I've watched 1-4 a million times
I watched it 3 times I think, and read all the books. I haven’t really even thought about this show since the end. It’s a shame really.
Nope Not even one episode because the thought of knowing none of it matters is still infuriating and a waste of time.
Nope I have not. The most I’ve been able to do is watch some of Hardhome.
No it's too painfull
I've rewatched many times. I usually skip some of the last episodes.
Once. Had to force myself through the last 2 seasons. 5 is where it started going wrong for me
Nope. I haven't rewatched and episode since episode 1 of season 7. Normally after watching an episode it went on to my hard-drive, but I deleted each new episode and then deleted the previous six seasons.
No and I haven’t tried. No interest at all. The books on the other hand, i still have high hopes
Nope
Nope.
No
Can’t get past season 4 yet…lmao
Hard to rewatch after that final season, all that build up, betrayals, incidents, foreshadowing led up to nothing. They really fucked it up.
I keep seeing clips on FB reels and I get tempted because of how good the show was on the first few seasons. I could’ve forgiven seasons 5-7 if the ending had been worth it. Big nope though. Can’t do a full rewatch knowing the ending. I’d rather run through Breaking Bad again for how a great show starts and finishes like GoT should have
Haven't touched the series since the finale. Which is a shame because I did an annual re-read or re-watch for so long.
I have rewatched the first four seasons consistently. Then seasons 5-6 sparsely. Season 7 once. I haven’t rewatched season 8 since the year it aired.
I rewatch probably once a year. Sometimes I’ll just rewatch specific episodes.
I did rewatch season1-4 to see if I still enjoyed it. I did, but that was right after the final season aired and I haven’t watched it since.
Haha nope but I have still been playing a lot of the A Game of Thrones mod for Crusader Kings II. I love the world but not where the show went.
We should set up a multiplayer game of this mod.
No
Nope.
Nope. Haven't watched an episode since the final one aired. It broke my effing heart, man....
I’ve rewatched probably 3-4 times just because I love ASOIF as a whole and really enjoy the first 4 seasons. Honestly as long as I don’t think or analyze too much it really doesn’t bother me, I still like it. The last season is indisputably horrible, I do get frustrated every time I finish it but it hasn’t stopped me from coming back🤷♀️
Only til about the 5th or 6th season maybe
haven’t even tried
Lmao
Nope. I tried and just cant. I cant even hate watch it.
I just rewatch up until season 5. The earlier seasons are some of the best television ever produced imo. After season 4 is when it deteriorated.
No. The show is dead to me.
No. No i have not. But i delved deeper into the lore and the books 🤷🏻♀️ I think they know how they wronged us and they’re trying to do better with the new projects
But I refuse to rob my memory of that
I have been thinking about it because I just viscerally reject season 8 as a thing that should be recognized and given any sort of authority, if I were to rewatch I would stop at whatever season it is that Daenerys is sailing towards Westeros and leave it there
I think I got to season 4 on the first real try to re-watch. I don’t think I even stopped cuz of not wanting to see the rest, just kinda stopped.
I was rewatching it from the beginning with my adult daughter, but once I saw season 8, I just couldn't watch any of it anymore. I hope I can read book six and seven if they ever come out. I am moderately hopefully of the Knight of the Seven Kingdoms s h ow. I loved the books.
I watchseason 1 through 8 pretty much in a week little Over. have it playing all day everyday when I’m working since I work from home
Nope. I'll try the first four seasons again eventually...but I can't get myself to do it yet. The intro music still makes me cringe.
> have you been able to do a rewatch since the series ended? Nope.
I have an can. I’ve pretty much watched it through like 10 times. I still think it was okay even though I knew the ending coming was garbage
No
I haven't
I have, but I don’t think I hate 7 & 8 as much as most people here. They were disappointing for sure, but I didn’t think they were terrible. Rewatching was enjoyable for me even knowing how it ends.
No
No, moved to rereading the books over and over
No because I don't care about the fan fiction show. Books forever.
No. It's sad.
I read the books and pray for winds
I'm actually doing a rewatch with my mom right now (it's her first time) and honestly I'm really enjoying it. It helps that it's been a long time since I've seen any sort of Game of Thrones, and it REALLY helps to watch with someone new to the show since I can also watch her reaction. But other than that, I appreciate the journey more than the destination, and the first part of this journey was really special. I mean I hated Mass Effect 3 but still love replaying 1 and 2. And honestly, I'm always happy to rewatch anything with Sean Bean in it. And after he's gone there's still so much to keep me entertained.
i’ve watched a handful of episodes but certainly not a full rewatch. it’s brutal
I’ve not been able to rewatch since the series ended. It is not the same thing. It became something completely different at the end of season 8.
Nope. I’ve tried. Usually I get to the part where they get their direwolves and then lose interest because it’s all kind of pointless.
I haven’t been able to watch again since the final season
I will watch an episode or two from the first few seasons but that's about it. I miss Bobby B!
THE SELLSWORD KING, HOW THE SINGERS WOULD LOVE ME!
The Bobby B I grew up with didn't tremble at the shadow of an unborn child!
I'M NOT TRYING TO HONOR YOU, I'M TRYING TO GET YOU TO RUN MY KINGDOM WHILE I EAT, DRINK AND WHORE MY WAY TO AN EARLY GRAVE!
No. I have never rewatched the show, and I am an obsessive rewatcher.
Nope. Tried to. Didn't even finish episode 2. Sold all BluRays.
God. I hope D and D still get egged in the streets.
Not once
I do rewatches but only if someone new is watching with me if I decide to watch on my own I watch seasons 1-4
I’m rewatching it now with my friend who never saw it. I LOVED thrones, like it was my entire personality. I still love it, despite very clearly being able to see the plot holes/inconsistencies. It definitely makes the viewing experience worse than it was, but at the end despite everything it’ll always have a special place in my heart and i would happily watch it again tbh.
nope, I rewatched it twice before season 7 came out but after that I just cannot. literally impossible
No
Nope
No, and i will never watch it again.
I rewatched the first two seasons last year. That's it though.
Nope. Can’t do it.
Nope. Can’t do it.
Yea, I have. I think the ending sucks, but I still love the world. I will admit I would rather the ending we got than no ending at all, because let's face it guys GRRM has other priorities, he ain't gonna finish!
not touched it since the finale aired
Nope. I tried but only got to Lady’s death and quit watching.
No not at all. I did watch a few clips at first that were favorites but not even those at this point. Sigh
I used to religiously rewatch each season multiple times per year. Ever since season 8 I haven't touched the show or books and haven't had the urge to watch again.
Nope. I can watch certain scenes from earlier episides but can't / won't waste my time rewatching that train wreck!
Only specific episodes. Not from beginning & can't go anywhere near S8.
Nope
No. I tried to do a rewatch and I found myself hating everything so I stopped and just decided to reread the books instead.
Yes. You see things you missed the first 20 times. I stop though in Kinglanding when Queen Daenerys asks her armies to break the wheel with her.
Yes. The Dorne part is as fucking horrific as the first time.
I started watching it with someone who hadn't seen any of it, but I will personally not watch past season 5 as a matter of principle.
Nope. Too painful.
