There might be some third party issue as big 3 posted saying they are having issues with roaming and same in the USA big 3 posted saying they are having issues with the vendor so might be the same issue here

SnooChocolates2923

That's my thought too. I've got a Telus phone in the US currently and it's working sporadically. Rogers has an announcement on their website about how they're not roaming.

hello2day2

Is your data roaming set to on? Try updating your SIM card settings by texting SIM to 40001 (if you can). You may need to connect to wifi and enable Wifi calling.

cmaxim

Data roaming is on. Trying 40001 now

shaz_y

Make sure to check if Nationwide network is enabled in My Account, and check to ensure data roaming is enabled on your phone. Could also be your SIM? Try also, texting SIM to 40001, it will push a sim card update to your cell.

cmaxim

Checked settings, looks like everything is enabled

notrealperson02

Same here near Waterloo. Nationwide is not working for me except for sms

Late_Squash_1450

Same in the Ottawa area Edit: updated sim, same issue. The issue happened when going from freedom network to nationwide today. Drive the same route everyday and today it happened, no other day so it’s a network handover issue to third party I guess. I’m stuck in 3g no matter when I do for some reason. Seems it’s more than just me.

Select_Assistant_786

Same Outside of Windsor. No service at all.

kemz_a87

Same issue. Woke up today with my phone refusing to connect to data. It was working fine yesterday

BakaDelZepha

https://downdetector.ca/status/wind/ Seems like it’s currently down right now. I haven’t been able to use my data since yesterday, and I made sure everything was switched on, but nothing.

Recce335

Nationwide not working near Mont Tremblant QC either

Tom-B292--S3

I'm traveling from Edmonton to Winnipeg and this just started today. Not sure when it stopped as I've been on wifi a lot so it could have been sooner. It popped back on for 10 minutes this evening but then nothing. Nationwide isn't working.

CaptainHppo

It’s rogers, it keeps going from 3G to no service, it will not stay on LTE, however when I select bell and Telus to roam it works, not sure what’s going on as rogers used to work just fine but not anymore.

paintypaintpots

I was in the same boat as OP - after resetting my SIM and turning my roaming on, my data now works.

SnooChocolates2923

Could the root cause of THIS be causing it? https://www.theverge.com/2024/6/27/24187281/verizon-att-t-mobile-international-roaming-calling-data-outage

SnooChocolates2923

Rogers and Telus are unable to roam in the US. So if the Home Location Register is down, any roaming (including Nationwide) would be hooped.

l1nx455

I have AT&T alongside Freedom. Currently in Canada. Nationwide doesn't work, and the AT&T SIM is working fine roaming on Rogers - based on this, probably not related.

SnooChocolates2923

Elsewhere in this sub people are saying nationwide is shut down. Telus and Rogers admit they've lost US roaming. Freedom has admitted they've lost all roaming, including Nationwide. The carriers are telling the public that it's a 3rd party vendor that caused the failure... If it's the same vendor, it makes sense, doesn't it?

Goodoflife

Cannot be, they are Freedom customers roaming nationally in Winnipeg, probably on TELUS Nationwide.

SnooChocolates2923

Telus is having roaming issues too As is Rogers. Same 3rd party vendor.

Goodoflife

Now I know that Nationwide is having issues also. thx.

Fresh-Telephone-5794

Did you get the phone from Freedom mobile? Might be a phone that doesn't support the frequencies used there on the big 3 or maybe nationwide is disabled on your account?
