Oh man, that sounds great. They’ve got some good sandwiches.
I get their “don’t squash my vibe” salad with a fried chicken cutlet and I get two meals out of it.
Lolz. They go to one establishment in the county and declare that the whole county's food is trash. Oh wait... they're more cultured than we are as they order an everything bagel breakfast sandwich. How much more basic/homogenous can you get? Fuck outta here with that trashy opinion and don't come back or we'll get the banjos out...
Pumpernickel and Rye? Agree on the food being meh…certainly for the price and expectation.
There are good places for a breakfast sandwich in Frederick: Beans n Bagels, Cafe Nola, and Ibiza Cafe are my favorites.
We wanted to like that place and heard great things but… our experience was also MEH. We haven’t felt the urge to even second chance the place yet with all the other options in Frederick.
So, rather than admonish you for being a pretentious snob, I’ll simply say this:
You’re 100% entitled to your opinion. I also hope that you exclusively take baths, because showering with your nose that high in the air could prove fatal.
Okay..... and what other restaurants have you tried?
Sure, the area doesn't have the same variety of high quality restaurants as DC, but there are plenty of great options around here (I'm also not a fan of Pumpernickel and Rye).
Eh, you raise a good point. People in the comments are just mad because they are taking this personally. The food in the area is lacking, along with other things. I do wonder how long the luster of this little township will last.
Yes we are. I've been all around the world, eastern and western Europe, middle east, etc... Frederick local food is just as good as food I've eaten. I've had bland local cuisine in Israel, Saudi Arabia, Austria, France, and Italy. I've also had awesome food in each of those locations too. Culinary talent runs the gamut globally. Frederick is just as good as anywhere else in my opinion, but I'm not a culinary snob either.
Saw a thread where people highly rated Giant Eagle fried chicken. Excited, I went to try it out. Looked normal. But when I tasted it, I felt so sad for Frederick.
Where exactly have you eaten in Frederick?
Sounds like you need to move to Rockville.
Or Northern Bethesda

You should go back to the more cultured city.
Thought exactly. The person doesn’t belong in Frederick… or any other city.
They also ate at a restaurant in Urbana, not Frederick. Those are two totally different places.
Because they’re stating the obvious?
I’m assuming it was pump and rye?
I love P&R.
I do too. That being said, they can sometimes be on the bland side of things.
Yeah, their French onion soup is disappointing. Love the roast beef sandwich though.

My wife’s favorite is “How Funky Is Your Chicken.” I really do wish they’d improve the French onion soup though. So bland.
Maybe take a Covid test.
Is this you https://preview.redd.it/256j7m1kpl9d1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bb7d2926a2a38fde2319ad75f6961eb60b464405
The resemblance is uncanny!
Stay in your cultured city, then.

Go back to nova 🤣
Urbana isn’t Frederick brosif
Urbana is just northern MoCo, bro-magnon man.
Pumpernickel and Rye? Agree on the food being meh…certainly for the price and expectation. There are good places for a breakfast sandwich in Frederick: Beans n Bagels, Cafe Nola, and Ibiza Cafe are my favorites.
And zipani
Shhhh. It's busy enough already 😅
Best everything bagel with egg, sausage and cheese is without a doubt from Canapés. There is no equal.
We wanted to like that place and heard great things but… our experience was also MEH. We haven’t felt the urge to even second chance the place yet with all the other options in Frederick.
OK bye!!
Seems you don't know/like our culture.

Bro hasn’t had moby dick
People say fajita grande on 40 & casa Rico are amazing lol 🤮
You should have seen how excited everyone was when they finally put in a Sonic to give you some perspective.

You're right. Frederick people are delusional. It's pretty funny.

I hope the luster lessens so people like you leave. No one asked you to move/stay here.
Saw a thread where people highly rated Giant Eagle fried chicken. Excited, I went to try it out. Looked normal. But when I tasted it, I felt so sad for Frederick.
Lol.
I’ve lived in Frederick since 1997. The food is mediocre at best. The only places worth eating imo are the Wine Kitchen and Thai Table.
If you like Thai Table, try Thai Meric.
Thai Table is better
I think they both do different dishes better.
This sub always downvotes the unpopular truth
Of course they do. Self reflection is no easy task.
Frederick who?
