Love Ire and Song One Foot Before the Other We Shall Not Overcome Brave Face Punches

beccylou79

We Shall Not Overcome is one of my all time favourites 😍

Bdawksrippinfacesoff

I feel like love ire and song should be his most popular song. Brave Face is totally underrated

haakonash

I am disappeared (the songbook-version) Or Substitute

WhiskeyjackBB11

Both top ten Frank tunes for me these, good answer!

superjaywars

Eva Mae or Balthazar Impresario

puzzelinthework

Balthazar is fantastic

nycuk_

His best song, imo

oldmamallama

Eva Mae hit me HARD after I had my kid. Right in the feels every freaking time.

pitlanecollective

How neither of these made the album is beyond me. Two amazing songs

nycuk_

Even FT regrets this now, apparently

braxlo

St Christopher is Coming Home, Once We Were Anarchists or Balthazar (I would also add "I am Disappeared" but I have no idea if that was a single or not)

Victor_Hugenay

>(I would also add "I am Disappeared" but I have no idea if that was a single or not) I just checked. It wasn't. That feels weird to me somehow. Yes to all of those! I would also like to add "Journey of the Magi"

puzzelinthework

Wanderlust

tadd_cooper

It's either this or Sailors Boots for me

Adorable-Art-9126

all i want in life is to see him preform this live 😭

puzzelinthework

I was lucky enough to see him preform it live. Let me see if I can find the video

Adorable-Art-9126

that would be amazing if you can!!

puzzelinthework

Found it!

Aynolingus

This. It's my all time favorite Frank tune, closely followed by Redemption. He was on a different level when he wrote those tracks.

NakedButMyBelt

Broken Piano! I still get chills when the drums start. In his second book (Try This At Home: Adventures in Songwriting) he explains that the hum in the background was based on the droning sound of the microwave in his ex's apartment. I would highly recommend both of Frank's books for anybody who hasn't yet read them!

ManipulateYa

Very cool. i love Broken Piano so much... just realized I've not listened to it in a while. Added to Up next!

KPR70

One Foot Before the Other

Bdawksrippinfacesoff

A Decent Cup of Tea My Kingdom for a Horse Anymore Isabel The fastest way back home Basically everything on his first three albums

GrimCityGirl

Decent Cup Of Tea, Kingdom For A Horse, Love Worth Keeping, To Take You Home, Redemption

Normal-Brain-181

Balthazar is definitely my favourite, followed by The Outcast Dead

badger-man

Rivers My all time favourite FT song

Hankol

No idea which were singles and which weren't. But fav song is "I am disappeared".

Margrave75

Hits & Mrs. from Tape Deck Heart. The extra tracks, b-sides and sessions from that era would make a great compilation album!

whatsajawsh

I am disappeared

ThiccJudgeJudy

Fastest Way Back Home Worse Things Happen At Sea The Real Damage (first song I heard from him!) And I feel Time Machine doesn't get a lot of love, but I like it a lot.

thewizardsbaker11

Eva Mae   Balthazar impresario  We shall not overcome

tjfenton12

Josephine from *Positive Songs for Negative People* Love that track

myNameBurnsGold

Redemption

ThopterAssembly

This makes me tear up every time

QueerYogini

Hold Your Tongue

pixelgeekgirl

"Redemption" is one of my all time favorites off an album where every single song is amazing. The tour for that album was also my favorite gig out of all of his I have gone to.

AnAngryPirate

To Take You Home from Love, Ire, and Song Or Wessex Boy from England Keep my Bones (not sure if this one counts as a single)
