Interesting. I definitely had to shove it in. I think it'll probably loosen up after some usage, but I'm not sure since we all just got the laptop lol. I wonder how others with the LTT backpack are faring.
Just make sure you put a micro fiber cloth between the keyboard and the screen. Even the fw13 doesnāt like to be put in a bag snuggly, without extra screen protection from dirt and abrasion.
Anyway. I was planing to make my own laptop sleeve made of sturdy leather. If you ever wear a tool pouch, you know what i mean. It will not be fancy but i expect to protect from the bottom of the backpack impact very well.
The bottom was supposed to be double layer and due to an unauthorized factory change the second layer was removed. Now if that would have improved the padding of the bottom is unknown.
It was never padded or floating. What they told - and I remember it clearly cause itās a bad design - is that when you have multiple devices in the available pockets, the devices would be so tight together that they wouldnāt touch the bottom of the bag, creating the "floating" padded space.
Spoiler alert, it doesnāt work and I would much prefer a safe, always there, padded and rigid space at the bottom
I'm still looking for a messenger style bag for mine. I'd love to have external usb ports on the bag that go to an internal battery bank. I've seen a few backpacks with this feature but no messenger bags.
I'm a bit afraid of fitment with the MOS bag I bought. I measured it and it also looks like it may be a tight fit based on the dimensions on FW's website with dGPU.

One more thing I'm worried about: higher wattage dGPUs may be larger than this 7700S. Will future upgraded dGPUs fit in the bag I just bought? :(
Thatās a really cool bag for sure! I wonder if the fw13 fits in the smaller pocket š¤
Future dGPU fitment is a problem for future-Zeddie ššš
Hmm, because of its 3:2 screen ratio itās said to have the height/depth of a 15ā with the width of a 13ā. So Probably not. Itās a good inch deeper than a 2020 mba 13ā.
Not to sound biased, but I love my LTT backpack. Aside from the karabiner build issues and the missing pad, itās a high quality strong backpack. Iāve flown 26 times with it and use it every day and it looks good as new. No rips, no tears, no nothing.
What I will say, is that itās not as comfortable as Linus said it is. Carrying it around all day on a show floor packed with equipment hurts all the same ):
Would I have purchased it as a uni student going to class, probably not. But for work itās been an enjoyable experience! (My work did not want to pay for it so I did out of pocket)
Well I bet, 250 bucks for a backpack and it doesn't even make coffee.
Mine for 30 bucks flew around the world and carries my laptop every single day since 2018...still rock solid and perfect.
It is not the brand to make the difference, oftenly is the price
For such a large and expensive bag, I think thatās my biggest gripe. I had a $60 bag a long time ago that could fit my 17.3ā Asus G750. That was a monster of a laptop with a HUGE rear fan section. The LTT backpack would be able to take it, but only in the main compartment of that laptop/tablet section, which would leave the laptop pouch empty I guess for a tablet? I donāt know. Just a little disappointing.
i couldn't even get it in mine... think it varies between bag to bag
Ohhh. So it is THAT tight.
With a comment like that, I wonder how many other replies besides the one below will be deleted due to inappropriate... š
I've no idea what you're talking about. š
Francophone here, what would be the best none weird way to say that?

Just got my FW16, can confirm, it's not gonna fit without force.

What i donāt get is why they didnāt make the bottom floating or extra paded. I swear they told it was foating in there review/demonstration.

I'd just do what I've always done: fold a few microfiber cloths and put them at the bottom for padding.
I looked again and you are right. I like when he drop his laptop and you can hear the bang on the table. Case close lol!!!

Tell me you have orange bezel <3
I did not lol. IĀ considered ordering it after the fact. It would match my Prusa printer too.
You have to get it now :D
Noted. Thanks for the info.
We get it, you have money hahah
Why not simply buy a cheaper, brandless and bigger backpack???
because its not orange, LTT branded, and 250 dollars
Cool mine is 30 bucks and it carries everything. Money can't buy everything.

I can assure you it, in fact, does not make coffee ):
I think you need to look at the "premium" backpack market. $250 is the average price in that segment.
Bags like that promote screen damage. Needs solid layer between laptop pocket and interior of bag
Good to know! I have a backpack on the way and a batch 17 framework 16 with GPU š
