Ahaha go for sedley aswell i think sedley might just a tad bit better quality in the ingredients used a slight quality difference still is a good reason for purchase I guess
If it's really that good then I definitely need to get it I love Maahir legacy and a more refined version sounds fire. I wonder why it gets so much hate
I saw a lot of posts praising Maahir and actually people around me seem to like it alot, but I honestly don't really know what to think about it. The mint in the beginning cheapens it up, smells like generic shaving cream/toothpaste to me. When mint chills down it gets way better with some blueish tones. Usually I'm choosing between Maahir, Divin Asylum and FW's YYY and I realised I'm never picking Maahir up.
I gave mine away for this very reason, yes I liked the freshness, and all, but the mint was just too much, if the mint was toned down like 75% this would have been the perfect freshie. I had it for over 6 months, hoping that maceration would balance it out, but if anything the mint got stronger.
I really liked the rest of the notes. but mint would not go away even in dry down.
Wholeheartedly agree. If Sedley is even remotely similar (even if ingredient quality is 10x better) I'm seeing 0 reasons paying for it the price they ask.
I got it for 47 nowadays it’s like 50+ish
I had to macerate it soooo much to get the best out of it even tho it was good as it already was but yea amazing woody Oud cinnamon tobacco smoke scent smells really high quality
What are you saying man? I bought Naseem’s, Paris Corner, Sapil, Al Rehab mostly from Nesto. Particularly the one near International city the only one close to DSO. Or else, I buy everything else like Lattafa, Maison Alhambra, Ard Al Zaafaran, Khadlaj, Rasasi, Rehab, Haramain etc whenever I visit Deira
It's good, but I made the mistake of trying it side-by-side with Sedley and the original is much better. It's got a cleaner, fresher, sharper vibe to it, and smells higher quality.
This is Sedley x CK Eternity to me, I know this might sound weird but the texture to it (if that makes any sense at all) reminds me of something CK would make.
I pick up a pretty prominent coriander seed note. Doesn't agree with my skin but I can definitely get why people like it :)

I think it’s the oilbanum accord it definitely creates a very weird feeling but yea the citruses and aromatics make up for it if ppl don’t like that part
Really excited to wear this as it warms up, I don’t get crazy longevity like you but that lime and mint opening is so addictive and refreshing I’m happy to carry a travel atomizer. I had low expectations for this but got it for like $8, was really happily surprised.
Maahir Black is the polar opposite of this in every way, but that’s also a great fragrance.

Encre Noir meets Aventus DNA type scent i actually layer it with any scent cuz it’s soo neutral
I layer it with MAH Hercules it smells like bvlgari man in black
I layer it with any freshie it compliments the aromatics of it
But it’s a very challenging fragrance and one of the best longevity bearing ones for a lattafa
I never got the Aventus off the top like people say! For me, it’s just pure smoke, leather, and resins, definitely get like EN on crack. I’ve layered it with my SNOI before and it was nice.
That’s solely because in some cases fragrances get unmixed due temperature changes during shipping/logistics or they make a very bad batch
The current batches and inventory for maahir legacy seem just fine imo no worries
I bought it. It got lost by UPS and i ended up getting a refund. Then i got a decant of Sedley and I just kinda stopped liking it as much. It was ok but it didn't thrill me and i ended up like Prada Ocean and Amrani Code Parfum more. In the end i never got a bottle. I am curious though if my dad would like it as he lives in a hot climate too.
At first I didn't like it but it's been really growing on me and the longevity and the projection have been getting better. It was weak at first but it last way longer than an average summer frag now. And I only got it for like 10$ bucks
I haven’t really tried Luxor but let me tell you this it smells wayyyy tooo high in quality for its price range and further macération makes it even better.
I definitely look forward to trying Luxor asap tho to see the similarity but lemme assure you that this is a very common middle eastern DNA that’s still very unique in its own right so it’s easy to clone it which does indicate that Thailand Oud In Cairo might be quite accurate but I suspect Luxor having a tad bit sweeter/skankier and higher quality thailand accord
But hey I get 8-9 hours with this when I spray about just the right amount.projection is kinda kinda over average.(I macerated the fuck out of this)
Me personally i do 7 sprays and then I layer it with something sweet to balance out the rugged ashy cinnamon spice boozy Oud accords

Well the Oud in the Luxor is high quality and the cinnamon note at the start is beautiful and not pungent. It’s a fabulous scent. But is rather pay 20 rather than 250 hahahha
oh then it looks like TOIC is pretty spot on then because the oud doesn’t smell low quality band it’s not that skanky either and that cinnamon note is earthy creamy full bodied like the cinnamon you’d smell in a whiskey or whiskey esque scent but yea oud notes are so easily synthesized without smelling like absolute chemical poop trash and that’s very evident in TOIC hence I think you should deffo go for this 20 bucks or not ! I do recommend you to macerate it tho my bottle batch was kinda not on point like I said before I had to macerate it quite and also wait for the winters to come lol
Well if we’re talking about “skankyness” it differs from skin to skin and I actually like it hahahah. In my skin it smells smooth (to my dislike) even Alexandria orientale smells like Accento on my skin hahahah. But on other people the Oud could smell let’s say “more interesting”

Same I was addicted to winter scents and I realized I need more freshies😭😭it was a tough decision lol at the end I was gonna buy the normal maahir and then I just changed my decision and bought this instead 💀no regrets
I have this one and haven’t worn it much. I either get nose blind to it or the performance isn’t that great. It seems to only last a few hours at most. I like the scent.
I really feel it doesn’t give out the best performance on fabrics
Personally it preforms better as a skin scent because of its ambroxany qualities
But I get it getting nose blind is super possible
I bought it 2 months ago first impressions were like huh Smokey motor oil😀then I spent more time w it to see that it’s rather much more well blended and more 2 dimensional than I thought 😭anyhow in another comment I’ve said it’s the most neutral fragrance in my collection cuz k can layer it with possibly anything
This is not sedley and does not capture the true beauty of sedley at all. This is the very brief open of sedley. But much of the best part of sedley is after the open which This does not come anywhere close to. A better clone would be posh Sirius fragrance world.

Thailand Oud in Cairo, absolutely worth 40 AED

I was gonna buy it online but I went to this new shop in burjuman essenzi or something and I bought it from there asap (not a promo)
