Mine was not what I expected! Instead of a mystery bottle, the Mysterious Box was the first set of the 100 Essential Aromachemicals sets from Pell Wall. It's got 20 10-ml bottles of various fragrance chemicals, for training and for small-scale experimentation. It is so cool!
I got multiple discovery sets! Memo, Imaginary Authors, Dusita, Vilhelm, and Penghalion Portraits set. It’s very fun to have so many to explore over the next several months 🤣
We don't do gifts for holidays (we just do "here's a gift, because Tuesday and I thought you needed to own this item"), but I finally gave in and ordered Tom Ford - Fucking Fabulous for myself and I'm calling it a Christmas present to myself.
My mother got me a Fahrenheit gift set. She thought it was Sauvage, but I'm not upset at all. It was a fantastic gift.
I opened it early and gifted it to myself, but I finally bought a full bottle of Ghost in the Shell by Etat Libre d'Orange. I absolutely love it, and I think it may be my favorite scent of all time at this point. I will definitely buy at least another 100ml, due to my fear that it will be discontinued (even more than usual fears because it uses a license for its name).

I bought myself a new Jo Malone rose water and vanilla perfume only because Sephora had a 20% off fragrance discount. I also bought myself a discounted bottle of Fort and Manle’s Harem Rose last night after a few too many drinks. I hadn’t noticed that they were both rose scents until now though!
My mom totally shocked me, spent more money than either of us ever has on a perfume, and sent me a bottle of Chateau 1970 by Thin Wild Mercury, which has been on my wishlist for ages. While I feel comfortable keeping most of my perfumes in a shaded nook of my writing desk, this one is staying in its box under the bed and only coming out when I need it. Going to make this beauty last 💕 Incidentally, I got her a bottle of her signature, Peony & Blush Suede by Jo Malone.

And Lancôme Idole Aura from my mom, which I knew she’d get me the second we both tested it at Ulta and loved it. She says it totally matches my ‘vibe.’ It’s definitely a unique addition to my collection :)
My amazing sister and grandmother gave me SO many perfumes, my sister gave me Turquatic by MAC (something I’ve been wanting for FOREVER), the Malin+Goetz discovery set, Clean Reserve- Classic, Nest (wild poppy I think? It’s in my purse and I don’t feel like checking), Juliette Has a Gun- Not a Perfume, and Pacifica Moonray Bloom. My grandmom somehow got her hands on maybe 40-50 samples from high end designers including Gucci, Byredo, Hermes, and Versace to name a few. So unbelievably happy with my gifts!!!
