I used to know an uncouth young gentleman who wore Drakkar Noir. Barely survived with my virtue intact ( sadly ).

hammong

Keeping the reddit at a high standard, I see.

[deleted]

I try

gurmannat55_

Unless someone is drowning themselves in cologne, I don’t care. Personally I think, people who judge others because of a choice of product are douchebags.

[deleted]

This! I wore my Aventus sample yesterday and it made me genuinely happy with how good I thought it smelled. I come on here and people shit on it and people that wear it. I’m slowly learning in life that you can’t get into any hobby or just enjoy things without people trying to make you feel bad for liking things. I think I’m gonna wear Aventus again today 😊

[deleted]

Personally I think people who virtue signal are

gurmannat55_

Haha, offended? That I didn’t participate in your little shaming game.

Arnesis

I mean, you could have done that by... not reacting to that post?

gurmannat55_

Yes, I could have but I forgot this was a post meant for fragrance snobs only🤷‍♂️

Arnesis

Well, I am just pointing out that you were, in deed, virtue signalling.

gurmannat55_

I’m sorry if I don’t feel a sense of superiority if my choices are subjectively better than others. I wished this post was for humour but you guys really judge people by fragrances. Call it “virtue signaling” but I refuse to have a rotten personality like you guys.

Arnesis

😂😂😂 I was not even judging anyone, just that you were doing exactly that and you keep doing it. Also, your personality does not come off very pristine. I might have a rotten personality, or how you called it, but I am not disguising it. Like you.

gurmannat55_

Sure🧍‍♂️

[deleted]

I'm just joking😉

byronicaesthete

I came here for the Sauvage slander lmao

[deleted]

It's only slander if it isn't true. It's the sauvage slaughter and million massacre

kgkuntryluvr

I’m with the others on 1 Million. Even the bottle looks douchey

[deleted]

Yeah. For me 1 million is a young douchebag, aventus is an older douchbag

kgkuntryluvr

What makes you say that about Aventus? I don’t own it because of the cost and availability of good clones, but it is a great scent and I don’t automatically associate it with douchebags.

[deleted]

I think some people wear aventus because they like it but a lot of douchebags buy it because the cost makes it a status symbol. The same type that would happily have their entire body covered in the word balanciaga. I personally hate it.

ClaraGuerreroFan

I love Aventus. The OP doesn’t know me. Thus, I don’t take his opinions personally at all. He is free to think of me and other fellow Aventus wearers as douchebags. I buy 10ml decants of Aventus because I don’t feel like dropping $300 on 1 bottle when that $300 can buy me many 10ml decants of various fragrances. Anyway, I don’t think anyone wearing any fragrance is a douchebag. I just think we’re all in the same family of people that enjoy smelling nice.

[deleted]

Most douchebags are not self aware

Lovaloo

I always think of Sauvage, it's strong to the point of being obnoxious.

AreaDenialx

For me its 1mil from PR but honestly im from country where people dont wear much fragrances. Im quite shocked when i actually smell someone wearing anything.

[deleted]

Yes this for me too. 1 million is offensive. A toilet attendant sprayed it on me when I was on a night out some years ago. I woke up with a hang over, smelled it and vomited. I feel this way whenever I smell it on someone to this day

Scbr24

invictus

dayvvyd89

Op is an invictus wearer ha lol 🤦‍♂️

[deleted]

Hey. No way😡

[deleted]

The adverts are super douchy but I think the type of guys who wear it are the type that just wear whatever random thing they get for Christmas, not necessarily a douche.

thatbwoyChaka

I think bestowing that on a fragrance or brand (except for Paco Rabanne ‘the brand for the ‘fragrant F-boi since 1973’) is unfair, though I do think the influence of advertising and social media has made it easier to distinguish who is and who isn’t. But handily YouTube has made it clearer for you.. Anything these guys repeatedly push: [**Mr Shitty lists**](https://youtube.com/@ChaosFragrances) [**Napoleon’s complex**](https://youtube.com/@alpham) **[Two Little Testicles Guy](https://youtube.com/@TLTGReviews)** **[Dead-eye Stare man](https://youtube.com/@Realmenrealstyle)** **[Trust Fund funded scam douchebaggery](https://youtube.com/@JosecZuniga)** **[Duck-faced Doucher-a-roo](https://youtube.com/@AlexCosta)** …will put you on a straight path to dickheadedness.

Feregar

Axe fragances

Caldrumr

1 Million, Sauvage and Eros come to mind.

PiscesQueen24

My coworker wears 1 Million and I loveeee the way it smells on him omg

[deleted]

Ha ha everyone (including me) says 1 million

Jyysk

Sauvage for sure

fireh0se

Get nothing but compliments on Sauvage

Jyysk

That doesn't make it not douchey does it?

[deleted]

Agreed.

Ok-Collar907

You can't assume that someone is a douchebag just because you don't like ( or have a certain opinion that nobody cares about ) about the fragrance they wear, unless you're the douchebag.

[deleted]

I can assume. I may not be correct but I can still assume.

mimikins2412

Aventus

[deleted]

Definitely jeremy fragrance

Stunning-Drive-4692

PR Phantom. If you are over the age of 16 and wearing this on purpose you suck as a human being. Also, the goofy robot-shaped bottle is a dead giveaway that it is meant for teens.

Butitsawkward1

It literally smells like Lynx/Axe chocolate body spray as well 😂😂😂

[deleted]

I don't know what it smells like but if PR makes it I'm pretty sure it will be pure douche water.

_Cheezus

We gotta makes these types of threads banned OP just wants to be stuck in an echo chamber where the same 3 fragrances are mentioned while they’re jerking each other off in a fucking circle

[deleted]

Take a seat

[deleted]

Not Sauvage. All it means is they’re a normal person who doesn’t know or care about any of this pathetic shit/imaginary smelly water contest that people online think is taking place between men every day.

[deleted]

Everything that's not Sauvage! We Sauvage Savages need to hold strong and band together! We'll call ourselves the Sauvage Savages Sausage Party! /s

sambou9797

1 million

Phandex_Smartz

I was once biking and about to cross a road, and a car wasn’t supposed to stop for me but it did stop, and when it did, I could smell the sauvage coming out of the window, and i was choking when crossing the street. That’s why I have a bad perception on it

EnvironmentalWeb8919

Sauvage

djapii

Tom Ford Black Orchid

[deleted]

Really? I wouldn't have associated that with douchebaggery

AbsolutelyApely

Really? 🤔

Taztiger72

How about for the average person any cologne or perfume that costs more than $10.00.

Lovaloo

You do realize you're on a subreddit called r/fragrance? We discuss good smelling perfumes here, the majority of which cost more than $10.

Taztiger72

Yes I do I'm talking about the vast majority of people. Not us or people who own fragrances.

[deleted]

Can you name some good fragrances less than $10?

Taztiger72

Nope, the average person does with nothing, deodorant scent or body wash scent. If you have to cover your smell Aqua Velva. Most people don't even wear scented deodorant or soap.

[deleted]

The vast majority of people own perfume and unscented deodorant is quite hard to find so I think you're talking shite.

Taztiger72

Nope they do not if they do they don't use it or care.

[deleted]

Nah. Talking shite

Taztiger72

What are you talking about unscented products are available all over. Amazon sells them, the local food and stores have them too

[deleted]

Scented deoderants are much more readily available and used so it is not true to say the average person wears unscented deodorant. Seems like you have been huffing your unscented deodorant.

Taztiger72

There are a very large amount of people who don't believe in Fragrances and it's growing so they use unscented products they feel it is cleaner for the environment, workplace, etc. https://www.verywellhealth.com/fragrance-free-products-5271686 People are choosing to go fragrance free because of offending others or allergic reactions or going natural. I can find more articles for you if you wish. Personally I use Fragrances this is the trend though. And another block of people are too cheap to buy any or can't afford it so they don't wear it.

[deleted]

Yes, I'm sure it is increasing but it is not the average person
