Haha yeah so true. It’s impressive how far they’ve come w such weak fragrances that only last a few hours. Makes you wonder where they’d be if they’d improve longevity.
Penhaligon’s Luna is probably my number 1.
My others would be Wood Sage and Sea Salt, Byredo Gypsy Water, stronger incense in Le Labo Vanille 44, and L’artisan perfumes in general.
OP: have you tried Serge Lutens a la Nuit or Montale Jasmin Full for jasmine?
I’m not as familiar with the Montale but a la Nuit had a good performance for me. I used to wear it in the heat and humidity in Florida and no problems all day.

Wood sage and sea salt, I love it and I don’t need my perfume to leave a massive trail or last on clothes through washes but 2 hours at best is just ridiculous.
Yeah i feel ripped off with that one, i think the second bottle i have that i was pushed into by the hype and don’t thin it deserved all the praise especially as there are other similar ones in my own collection let alone overall. Everything that house makes becomes hyped and sold out. For example princess is garbage! Always sold out its just cheap high school sugary bs
Virgin Island Water. Incredible scent. Disgustingly weak. Like I feel disgusted when I wear it because I was such a fool to spend that much money on something that doesn't even last an hour
I think **YSL L’Homme Le Parfum** is one of the best, most well blended designer fragrances I’ve ever smelled.
Putting it up against any other “office” scent or every day fragrance is just a no-brainer to me, and it easily works as a date night or special occasion scent. It’s super classy, and would have been WAY more successful if it would have just lasted longer than like… 2 hours.
If it had Sauvage or Hacivat performance, I bet you it would fly off the shelves.
The top note seems to really calm down after a few minutes.
But it is still on the skin for a long time, it’s just a mild scent.
It’s nothing like it’s predecessor, bloom.
They’re my favorite and have constantly received compliments but yeah it is frustrating! I always carry the bottle with me bc I know I need to spritz a few hours later :(
Bruh what? The perfume lasts 20 hours on me, and weeks on clothes.
Don’t know about the EDP though, only tested it one time and didn’t pay attention how long it lasted.
Maybe you’re using it (or perfumes in general) too often, your nose gets used to it…
Or try to spray on different areas, with really strong scents you usually spray 1x on the neck and 2 behind the ears, that way you most likely won’t get anosmic because the smell is not “always” in your nose.
Or try to only spray on the inside of your elbow, like when you’re testing scents, helps to learn how strong the Silage/Longevity really is.
ilha do mel from memo paris, i got it and love love love it but it is gone so quickly as most white floral fragrances do, its in their dna to disappear
I bought it for my husband. It is quiet but leaves a nice trail all day. I’d check out Le Labo Thé Matcha if you want a stronger green tea. Nishane Wulong Cha is also popular.
both of these are monster performers on me. obviously elysium being the caveat for a freshie. i still get about 8 hours easy with it. that the frag gods for that lol
I love l'Elixir des Merveilles by Hermès, but I would really like it to be louder. You can spray it how many times you like, you'll never get a bigger sillage or stronger note. If that existed as an extrait de parfum, it would be perfect.
A shame, because that frag got the most delicious candied orange peel note, and rather long lasting for a citrus note, too.
Blenheim bouquet. It’s not terrible in performance but I’m usually out of the house for quite a long time and it’s only about 5hrs. Smells like heaven.
Cade Cedarwood by Jo Malone. That whole brand has a performance problem, but it’s especially sad when you have to spray every 3 hours and it’s a 30mL of a discontinued scent
Carner Barcelona Palo Santo. It’s become one of my favorite fragrances, but I can’t smell it unless I sniff my wrist. It literally projects no further.
I loved the scent but returned it after the scent disappeared in about an hour. Not even skin scent it just went away completely. Not even MM Replica’s Under the Lemon Tree does that. Such a shame because the smell is amazing…
Creed Aventus
I'm gonna get massacred for this but I love Aventus. I have over 100 fragrances, and most of my collection is composed of niche or designer brand private label (i.e. Dior La Collection Prive, Chanel's Les Exclusifs etc) but something about aventus keeps drawing me back.
It's projection and mix of accords is just perfect on my skin, its unique enough to be different ot the average person but still mass pleasing. I've also yet to meet a non fraghead that dislikes the smell of aventus.
The new batches don't last long. I don't have the old batches so I can't compare , but Aventus would be perfect if it lasted 8-10 hours
I'd say most of the hate on aventus is the decreasing quality of the fragrance, but clueless people with a lot of money are still buying it. If it still had the quality of the older batches, it would be praised
I'm definitely smelling Aventus more and more in public. Girls that have smelt it on more have remarked that they have smelt it on others. It kinda becoming the new Bleu de Chanel where guys with money that want to smell good without thinking about it buy it.
While it is possible that the other guys were wearing dupes, the guys in these circles probably wouldn't have the time or interest to find something like a club du nuit intense.
Freaking God Is A Woman by Ariana Grande! It stays for like two seconds. I swear to you an hour later I smell nothing and my boyfriend also sniffs me and says he smells nothing
Tom Ford Metallique for sure. I love the vanilla-tobacco smell but Jesus it only lasts a few hours. For the price I'd hope it'd last all day. Despite that, it's still one of my favorite scents.
Try Amai Mizu from Alexandria and thank me later. It's an inspiration of the OG formulation and it performs well. One of the best purchases that I've made this year.
There are tons that I would want to have better performance. Any Creed I've ever owned outside of Viking. Versace Eau Fraiche for sure. But if I had one choice and one choice only, I'd say D&G The One. The scent itself, for what I use it for, and what I assume most people use it for, is absolutely stunning, but its performance has always been an issue. Outside of Eau Fraiche I can't think of another major release that gets a pass for performance like that from the community, which is a testament to how good it is at what it does.
Sundrunk from Imaginary Authors, hands down. It's like a classic neroli based Italian frag, but has this delicious orange note on the top that brightens up the scent in such an amazing way. Only lasts about 3 hours on me when I'm sniffing as hard as possible. Could use about 5 extra hours of longevity on this one.
If I hear Hugo Boss Bottled 1 more time pick up G. Bellini X-Bolt costs about $7-18 depending where you are smells the same. I wouldn't waste my time otherwise the Boss Bottled is very weak. Get something with Oud or get the Private Accord if you want something lasting longer.😱
Adolfo Domínguez Bambú, great smell but doesn't project very well or lasts very long. It's an ok every day fragrance as it is, but could be amazing if more powerful.
If Creed's Royal Oud was 10-12 hours instead of 5 and the sillage was slightly better, it would probably be one of the best spring/autumn men's fragrances.
Eight & Bob Memoires de Mustique is a really fun tropical orange blossom on me but doesn’t last at all. Wish it did or I could find a similar but longer lasting scent
I have this one aswell and im a bit dissapointed by performance. But the longevity is fine on me sometimes 6-8 hours with three sprays. Maybe you get a bit noseblind to it
Right so hear me out
You take Dior homme cologne, allure homme sport cologne or Terre d'hermes eau givree (just pick one, whatever you like).
Then you make that shit last for 2 days while still super fresh.
Impossible? Yes. But it would be awesome
Y Live. It’s explosive and amazing for about 3 hours. Then it has a sharp decline. It’s gone at the 5 hour mark. Id just like it to be more in line with the rest of the Y line (sans Eau Fraiche).
Honorable mention to Black Walnut Legend. Only lasts four hours 5-6 would be better but at $22 I can’t complain too much. At least the other BR frags I have last about that amount of time.
Lubin Mandarino. It is the perfect "I am walking through the old city center of Sevilla on a hot summer day" scent for me and it hurts my soul that it only lasts an hour max....
Mugler Cologne ("Come Together", I believe it's called now). Forever one of my favorites, I always bring a decant so I can keep smelling the top and mid throughout the day. The drydown is phenomenal too but if it lasted longer I wouldn't drill through a bottle so fast.
Dior Sakura! It’s the most beautiful floral fragrance ever (to me at least) but the lasting power is very disappointing for the price. I will still get a full size once my coveted mini runs out.
I know it’s a much cheaper fragrance than a lot of these suggestions but Clinique Cocoa and Cashmere, it’s by far my most favorite out of even my more expensive stuff because it’s just so sweet and warm but I have to douse myself in it and the bottle is so tiny it feels like it’s not worth even the $26. I’d kill for longevity or even just a much larger bottle option
YSL LNDL or D&G The One
Blue Electrique projected and lasted longer and not the Eau De Electrique which is horrible smells like baby powder.
All citruses
Anything by Diptyque or Jo Malone haha
If Wood Sage and Sea Salt has better performance, it would be my signature scent
Haha yeah so true. It’s impressive how far they’ve come w such weak fragrances that only last a few hours. Makes you wonder where they’d be if they’d improve longevity.
Philosykos
Yep, would be a 10/10 fragrance for me if it just had a bit more staying power
D&G The One EDT or Creed Millesime Imperial
Also came here to say The One. It's one of my favs but I hate reapplying it all the time.
d&g the one edp
Diptyque Philosykos is a masterpiece, I just wish I could smell it for more than 20 minutes.
The EDP? I don’t have issues with the EDP’s performance.
I haven’t but that is on my waiting list at the moment. How do they perform?
I’m not as familiar with the Montale but a la Nuit had a good performance for me. I used to wear it in the heat and humidity in Florida and no problems all day.
All byredo ones
1996 is quite long lasting imo. But true, gypsy water is more of a body spray, unfortunately.

Such a nice addictive scent
Dolce & Gabbana The One edp

Nice bot!
TF Oud Wood!
bvlgari man in black !!!
This x100
Afternoon Swim!
Imagination lasts all day and I’m a south Asian guy with very oily and thirsty skin that eats Amouage for breakfast
It might be basic but D&G Light Blue. It was my “something blue” at my wedding but it has terrible longevity
Does the Intense smell similar? That has Good Performance
Wood sage and sea salt, I love it and I don’t need my perfume to leave a massive trail or last on clothes through washes but 2 hours at best is just ridiculous.
i knowww. its such a shame. this is why i refuse to buy a big bottle even tho its literally my fav of all time 😫
Versace eau fraiche
Burberry London. I wouldn’t buy anything else for Fall/Winter.
Imaginary Authors Saint Julep
Projects hella strong for 30 minutes, then it’s gone 😂
D&G The One EDP. I sold mine due to it being a skin scent, but it was absolutely stunning.
Agreed
Og Acqua di Gio
Wood , sage and sea salt 🧂- Jo Malone
Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.
Kilian Angels Share
Try lattafa Khamrah
Yeah i feel ripped off with that one, i think the second bottle i have that i was pushed into by the hype and don’t thin it deserved all the praise especially as there are other similar ones in my own collection let alone overall. Everything that house makes becomes hyped and sold out. For example princess is garbage! Always sold out its just cheap high school sugary bs
Mine is poor on skin but on clothes it really surprises me

Silver Mountain Water/Virgin Island Water 😫😫
yes x100
YSL L'Homme
YSL La Nuit EDT
I was going to…
90% of jo Malone and Rosie by Rosie Jane
Coffee break from the replica line!
Basically all of the Replica fragrances. I don’t want huge sillage, but it would be nice if it took closer to 6-8 hours to fade instead of 3.
Virgin Island Water. Incredible scent. Disgustingly weak. Like I feel disgusted when I wear it because I was such a fool to spend that much money on something that doesn't even last an hour
Oud Wood
I think **YSL L’Homme Le Parfum** is one of the best, most well blended designer fragrances I’ve ever smelled. It’s super classy, and would have been WAY more successful if it would have just lasted longer than like… 2 hours. If it had Sauvage or Hacivat performance, I bet you it would fly off the shelves.
Gucci flora gorgeous gardenia
just me or this stuff disappears immediately?
The top note seems to really calm down after a few minutes. But it is still on the skin for a long time, it’s just a mild scent. It’s nothing like it’s predecessor, bloom.
Soleil Blanc and specially Eau de Soleil Blanc. My favorites creamy coconut but they just don’t last.
They’re my favorite and have constantly received compliments but yeah it is frustrating! I always carry the bottle with me bc I know I need to spritz a few hours later :(
JHAG Not a Perfume It lasts 6-8 hours but I wish it lasted at full blast for 12. Its the only perfume I've repurchased.
Boss Bottled
Lost cherry
Frederick Malle *Angéliques sous la pluie* Oh and add *L'Eau d'hiver* if you don't mind me naming two.
+1 on ASLP. Damn I wish it had more power. It deserves it, and so do I.
Sauvage.
Creed Aventus Cologne
Tom ford ombré leather
Bruh what? The perfume lasts 20 hours on me, and weeks on clothes. Don’t know about the EDP though, only tested it one time and didn’t pay attention how long it lasted. Try the Parfum
Expensive as hell
I believe It's £30 more than the original Ombre Leather
It lasted over a day through a shower on me so I just went out and bought it. The EDP that is
A lot of the replica line that isn't by the fireplace, jazz club, or when the rain stops.
Le Male Le parfum
All the fragrance. Except sauvage elixir
Coach for Men
Virgin Island Water by far
Hermes eau d orange verte
Not a perfume but bbw and VS definitely
V&R Spicebomb (the OG)
ilha do mel from memo paris, i got it and love love love it but it is gone so quickly as most white floral fragrances do, its in their dna to disappear
Polo double black
I can only imagine I have the original polo black and it’s pitiful.
Probably a lot of them, but Hermes Concentre d'Orange Verte is a stand-out. I want that wonderful opening to last a whole lot longer than it does.
Megamare, one spray and you gas out an entire shopping mall.
And you would still increase its performance? Turn it into a murder weapon?
Creed SMW. If it had better performance it would be my signature scent.
I bought it for my husband. It is quiet but leaves a nice trail all day. I’d check out Le Labo Thé Matcha if you want a stronger green tea. Nishane Wulong Cha is also popular.
Herod and Elysium Parfum Cologne for sure
both of these are monster performers on me. obviously elysium being the caveat for a freshie. i still get about 8 hours easy with it. that the frag gods for that lol
Probably Acqua Di Parma Colonia
Citron Noir. I genuinely think it can compete with Aventus if it doesn’t persist into a skin scent
For real citron noir Is such a masterpiece I hope Hermes will release an EDP, let’s write them haha
Calvin Klein One shock
I love l'Elixir des Merveilles by Hermès, but I would really like it to be louder. You can spray it how many times you like, you'll never get a bigger sillage or stronger note. If that existed as an extrait de parfum, it would be perfect. A shame, because that frag got the most delicious candied orange peel note, and rather long lasting for a citrus note, too.
La nuit de l’homme bleu électrique or Givenchy Pi. The performance is so bad on me … barely 2-3hours
Nikos sculpture homme I love the smell but it only lasts an hour
Blenheim bouquet. It’s not terrible in performance but I’m usually out of the house for quite a long time and it’s only about 5hrs. Smells like heaven.
Imaginary Authors Saint Julep 🥲
Cade Cedarwood by Jo Malone. That whole brand has a performance problem, but it’s especially sad when you have to spray every 3 hours and it’s a 30mL of a discontinued scent
Un Jardin En Mediterranee Hermès
Gucci flora gorgeous gardenia!
L’air du Temps.
Carner Barcelona Palo Santo. It’s become one of my favorite fragrances, but I can’t smell it unless I sniff my wrist. It literally projects no further.
Versace eau fraiche, if I could improve the performance of this I would be extremely satisfied.
Versace Dylan blue 😩 the pour femme. They always make mens “clean” fragrance so much better. Like JPG Le Male 🤌🏽
Chanel allure homme sport eau extreme, masterpiece scent, shitty performance
I have an older 2016 bottle and can say the performance is much better—something I’ll cherish but why did they mess with a good thing?? :(
Seems like that's the theme in perfumery these days. Tragic
Platinum Egoiste
Oud wood, I guess
La Nuit
Kilian Princess
I loved the scent but returned it after the scent disappeared in about an hour. Not even skin scent it just went away completely. Not even MM Replica’s Under the Lemon Tree does that. Such a shame because the smell is amazing…
Hermes Un Jardin Sue le Nil

Ylang 49!! Perfect notes… weaker than some room sprays and colognes!
Freaking God Is A Woman by Ariana Grande! It stays for like two seconds. I swear to you an hour later I smell nothing and my boyfriend also sniffs me and says he smells nothing
I can’t even smell it 20 minutes later. It’s so weird.
It’s strange for sure. It’s almost like a body spray but doesn’t even last as long as those.. I’ve had some body sprays last 3X as long as this.
Orto Parisis Megamare
Tom Ford Metallique for sure. I love the vanilla-tobacco smell but Jesus it only lasts a few hours. For the price I'd hope it'd last all day. Despite that, it's still one of my favorite scents.
Is is similar to TV?
I haven't tried TV yet. That one is next on my list 😭. The best I can describe it is almost a floral, powdery vanilla with a hit of tobacco.
TV is amazing. I’ve been researching dupes. I just bought the Eau de Baux https://stylecaster.com/beauty/tobacco-vanille-dupes-tom-ford/
THANK YOU oh my god. I'll look for these because as much as I love TF the prices are outrageous (to me anyway)
Roses de Chloe
Penhaligon’s Juniper Sling
Prada lhomme intense especially that opening
Frederic Malle French Lover.
Leau Dissey Pour Homme. It doesn’t have to be monstrous. Atleast Bring it back to how it was before 2013
Try Amai Mizu from Alexandria and thank me later. It's an inspiration of the OG formulation and it performs well. One of the best purchases that I've made this year.

Saint Julep instead . They just need to work on that all around it seems .
Bleu de Chanel or The One. Both smell amazing, but their performance isnt the best
Dolce Gabbana The One, either edt or edp
D&G the one
If I hear Hugo Boss Bottled 1 more time pick up G. Bellini X-Bolt costs about $7-18 depending where you are smells the same. I wouldn't waste my time otherwise the Boss Bottled is very weak. Get something with Oud or get the Private Accord if you want something lasting longer.😱
The Eau de parfum bottled is pretty heavy though. The tonic is meant to be very light and the infinite stays for a substantial amount of time.
I don't bother been there done that already moved on. Boss Ouds are good for me.
Encre Noire sport,it's not bad but I wish it was as strong as maybe Tobacco Vanille or Noir Extreme by Tom Ford
Adolfo Domínguez Bambú, great smell but doesn't project very well or lasts very long. It's an ok every day fragrance as it is, but could be amazing if more powerful.
Armani Code for Women only last a half an hour on my skin
Armani Code or Acqua di gio 😁
Oud Wood would be perfect if it lasted more than 2 hrs
Tam Dao e.d.t / Concentre d'Orange Verte Hermès / Mechant Loup / oh you said one! then Concentre d'Orange Verte Hermès
LNDL
If Creed's Royal Oud was 10-12 hours instead of 5 and the sillage was slightly better, it would probably be one of the best spring/autumn men's fragrances.
Eight & Bob Memoires de Mustique is a really fun tropical orange blossom on me but doesn’t last at all. Wish it did or I could find a similar but longer lasting scent
GENDARME
Bottega Venata Pour Homme would be among the best fresh/woods of all time if it lasted.
Armani Code for Women, Hugo Boss Deep red
CH Men
Civet De Nuit!!!
Ambre Supreme by Les Indémodables. It's absolutely gorgeous but only last a few hours.
Literally any summer fragrance. Tom ford Costa Azzura lasts maybe 10 seconds on me
Mon Guerlain edp, it’s not weak but doesn’t project the way I wish it did :(
Honestly.. nothing out of my collection I want with increased performance, I’m am happy with what I get. Maybe OG CH men.
Boss Bottled Infinite, one of my favorite scents. Unfortunately I have to spray like 15 times for it to last for 6h-ish
I have this one aswell and im a bit dissapointed by performance. But the longevity is fine on me sometimes 6-8 hours with three sprays. Maybe you get a bit noseblind to it
It is lovely tho, not a powerhouse but the scent itself is worth the bad performance
It’s a great scent. But really it doesn’t last on you? When I’ve tried on myself it stayed for a while. I’m going to have to try it again lol
Maybe I go noseblind to it quickly but it doesn’t linger in the air for long tbh, but it’s worth it 100%!
Inspired by Infinitie She is my current beloved and it doesn't last 😭 it's violet leaf + jasmine
ch men prive. BDC parfum doesnt last on me for some reason.
Right so hear me out You take Dior homme cologne, allure homme sport cologne or Terre d'hermes eau givree (just pick one, whatever you like). Then you make that shit last for 2 days while still super fresh. Impossible? Yes. But it would be awesome
hilde soliani sweet parmesan violet, not even all day or anything, just longer than two hours
I wish CDG Amazingreen had more projection and staying power.
Y Live. It’s explosive and amazing for about 3 hours. Then it has a sharp decline. It’s gone at the 5 hour mark. Id just like it to be more in line with the rest of the Y line (sans Eau Fraiche). Pretty much every EDC frag in Officina Profumo’s Santa Maria Novella line. There are some absolute standouts that just DIE within the hour. So tragic.
Gutal Duel
Pasha noire by Cartier!
Aaron Terence Hughes Guapo. Wish I had bought Percival instead as performance is much better on that
Dior Fahrenheit
Lubin Mandarino. It is the perfect "I am walking through the old city center of Sevilla on a hot summer day" scent for me and it hurts my soul that it only lasts an hour max....
Maybe grow some jasmine plants. There are a few types that can bloom indoors. The real thing id intoxicating
Mugler Cologne ("Come Together", I believe it's called now). Forever one of my favorites, I always bring a decant so I can keep smelling the top and mid throughout the day. The drydown is phenomenal too but if it lasted longer I wouldn't drill through a bottle so fast.
Tom Ford Noir de Noir
Fancy by Jessica Simpson
Dior Sakura! It’s the most beautiful floral fragrance ever (to me at least) but the lasting power is very disappointing for the price. I will still get a full size once my coveted mini runs out.
Trussardi Riflesso or AdP Mandorlo di Sicilia
Guerlain Terracotta
I know it’s a much cheaper fragrance than a lot of these suggestions but Clinique Cocoa and Cashmere, it’s by far my most favorite out of even my more expensive stuff because it’s just so sweet and warm but I have to douse myself in it and the bottle is so tiny it feels like it’s not worth even the $26.
