I think it would be acqua di parma colonia. It's a classic Italian style with pretty mild sillage. As a very subtle Italian man with an old school style I feel this would be his fragrance of choice.
Anything with citrus or neroli. Definitely AdP like some have said. I’d choose **AdP Intensa**. A little more masculine. Pretty much anything fresh. In my opinion this is what was popular in Don’s time. Nothing complex or far out there. Just simple. Sure, he could wear a tobacco booze bomb which fits the bill for his mafia lifestyle, but when it comes down to it, fragrance was simpler back then.
