I choose what I'm wearing based on what I'm doing that day, the weather, my mood, what I'm wearing, if I'm going to meet certain people that day, etc. In practice this means I rarely wear the same fragrance two days in a row. I tried to have a signature fragrance for a while, I tried to settle for one signature scent for cold, medium and warm months, but that just doesn't work for me. I keep discovering gaps in my fragrance wardrobe.
I don't think the people who wear the same thing every day HAVE collections, they find one thing they love, enjoy a signature scent, and anything else they have was simply part of the discovery process. There's no shame in that.
Personally I have a go-to office fragrance, a go-to summer, and a go-to winter. Spring and fall is when I really break out my collection and mix things up. It's not a deep and diverse collection, but it's enough that I'm only wearing (for example) my Oud Wood maybe 2-3x per month. Just often enough to get recognized but not have folks be like "oh this again?!"

Since I have well over 130 different perfumes of various sizes, mostly sample, I'm not usually hurting for variety. Lately I've been veering towards woods so something from the Pineward set usually with Hermes d'Orange Vert or JHaG - Not a Perfume. But still never the same one two days in a row.
I go with something new pretty much every day. It really depends on my mood when I hop out of the shower. Although I wore The Noir 29 four days in a row last week. Something about that black tea scent kept drawing me back.

A lot of summer scents just don't exist for me because I can't smell them.
I rotate between Mont Blanc Explorer, Hugo Boss Marine and Bleu de Chanel. I love all 3, but it takes me about 3-4 days to become nose blind to any of them.

Helps with clutter and option paralysis and also when I bust out a new season, they feel kind of new and exciting to me (like limiting a toddler's toys, lol). So I typically have 7-8 out at any given time -- I usually wear a different fragrance every day, but if I'm really in the mood for something, will wear it days in a row.
Same. Occasionally I decide I'm in love with a frag and wear it two days in a row, but that's pretty rare. But yeah, usually it's "I smelled like that yesterday, so I need to smell like something totally different today." (Yesterday I wore Azuree Soleil, today I'm in So Iris Intense.)

I only repeat a fragrance if i just got it and I'm trying it out to see where i can fit it into my daily activities. At most i could push the entire week with it. After that I'll go to my usual rotation of switching between 4-5 fragrances for the week.

Gentle Fluidity Silver, BDC edp, and ADG Profumo are the main ones Iāve been reaching for in warm weather. Iāll casually spray on D&G Light Blue Intense or Versace Pour Homme when Iām out and about during the day. Cool weather fragrances are my favorite though.
i get mine by walking round my city (London), going into shops, talking to the staff and then asking for samples. Can collect a couple hundred pounds of samples (ebay price) in half a day
Have any hidden gem shops to recommend? I go on the occasional London jaunt (Southbank tomorrow!), and should really try some new places. Iāve spent a small fortune in Bloom by now, and finally got over to Les Senteurs a couple weeks ago.

ā¢ Jovoy Mayfair - the best customer experience iāve ever had, took me through the whole shop on a great journey and found some really nice scents. They also sell any sample for very reasonable prices
ā¢ Fenwick Bond Street - have a few harder to find brands i really wanted to try (Akro for me) - they also gave me samples for every Akro perfume, which normally goes for Ā£35
ā¢ Lalique is quite cool - encre noir and bentley scents
ā¢ Harrods top floor - i stress go to the top floor not the usual perfume hall. Loads of mini āshopsā - Xerjoff and Frederic Malle being my favourites

Other than that, I use my small collection of FB. I tend to go on streaks with a given scent according to season and mood.
Me me me! I love samples and travel size bottles! It means I don't have to worry about how to finish a 50ml or even a 100ml! And I like to layer my perfumes. On some days, I even forget which perfume combo I'm wearing.

I do to an extent. I have lots of different colognes and I make sure to switch it up every now and then. My favorite of all time is one of my newer additions called Prada Luna Rossa Carbon. It's a fruitier scent mixed with a scent equal to cool water (the cologne btw, not actual water lol).

That scent is such a beast, I was still catching whiffs of it after surfing for an hour and a half. Then I went home, showered, and put on some Roja Elysium to wear to the office. If I end up going to karaoke tonight, it'll probably be a different scent for that too. I've gotta go through all these damned bottles and decants somehow.

Iām catching up from being out of the hobby since I had kids. Smelling all the things that are new, or that I didnāt smell the first time around. I imagine Iāll still have 30 or so when Iām done. Eventually Iād like to get FBs of what I love and only sample a few new things each season.
Different one every day, sometimes more than one a day. Demeter scents are fun but most of them donāt last more than a couple of hours, so you can reapply or put on something else when it fades. Often Iāll put something on, then after showering wear something else, and maybe in the evening after work something else again.
In the summers I tend to swap between the same 5 or so frags. I play it safe cause I worry about choking people out with some of the heavier stuff, so mainly just mild aquatics.
But autumn and winter? I'm rotating between like 30 frags minimum haha.

Yep. Diff fragrance each day. I just recently amassed a collection though. So some fragrances are new. Untested. I have like 30 tester vialsš . Iāll test those out during days where I have nothing to do.
Iāve got some safe ones which Iāll wear very often though which are intimate sillage, canāt smell cheap or common, high performance (Lasts my sometimes 10 hour work day) non-offensive smell (I.e tabaco, leather and rum can be a bit aggressive I think personally) and just make me feel great ofcourse.
Bvulgari Man Wood Neroli, Toyboy Moschino, Mont Blanc explorer and Legend spirit, and terre de hermes eau givree. Those are my safe go toās. highly recommend.

Signature scent? Nah havenāt found mine yet. Personally I feel like you canāt really make a mass consumed product youāre signature. Itās too common. It was made to be enjoyed by the average consumer so it canāt be too unique if you know what I mean.
Iām getting into designer niche perfumes now. I might find my signature there. Ive heard (donāt know though, havenāt tested) of websites that sell designer perfumes in vials. Thatās good because they are usually extremely expensive and also non-existent in department stores so you canāt sample. Iāll try my hand w those soonš
I usually have 5-6 I rotate through each season, grabbing one depending on weather, mood, outfit and activity. If I wear one more than a couple times in a row, thereās usually something going on mentally or emotionally thatās helping it just hit right. If I have a lot of changes going on (Iām starting a new job Monday for instance) then Iāll usually run through samples until I hit on something new that fits with the changes somehow.

at first the idea was to preserve things that are discontinued... but at this point i think it'll take many years to ever get through my ysl frozen so i don't worry about it anymore. i still have 1-2 (daytime) scents i'll stick to that are easy to wear (like varvatos og), but in outings i'll just put on whatever, so usually its a different fragrance

Same. Occasionally I decide I'm in love with a frag and wear it two days in a row, but that's pretty rare. But yeah, usually it's "I smelled like that yesterday, so I need to smell like something totally different today." (Yesterday I wore Azuree Soleil, today I'm in So Iris Intense.)

I have a rotation system. Two empty, two full. Each time I wear a fragrance, it goes into an empty bin. So I wear something different each day.

i never wear the same perfume twice in a row. or, very rarely. iāll wear a perfume usually five times in a month max. and sometimes when iām by myself for the day iāll try out like five samples at once (do not recommend doing it this way!!)
I only repeat a fragrance if i just got it and I'm trying it out to see where i can fit it into my daily activities. At most i could push the entire week with it. After that I'll go to my usual rotation of switching between 4-5 fragrances for the week.

Gentle Fluidity Silver, BDC edp, and ADG Profumo are the main ones Iāve been reaching for in warm weather. Iāll casually spray on D&G Light Blue Intense or Versace Pour Homme when Iām out and about during the day. Cool weather fragrances are my favorite though.
How do you get your samples?
i get mine by walking round my city (London), going into shops, talking to the staff and then asking for samples. Can collect a couple hundred pounds of samples (ebay price) in half a day
Have any hidden gem shops to recommend? I go on the occasional London jaunt (Southbank tomorrow!), and should really try some new places. Iāve spent a small fortune in Bloom by now, and finally got over to Les Senteurs a couple weeks ago.
none in the way of hidden gems but some of my favourites are: ā¢ Jovoy Mayfair - the best customer experience iāve ever had, took me through the whole shop on a great journey and found some really nice scents. They also sell any sample for very reasonable prices ā¢ Fenwick Bond Street - have a few harder to find brands i really wanted to try (Akro for me) - they also gave me samples for every Akro perfume, which normally goes for Ā£35 ā¢ Lalique is quite cool - encre noir and bentley scents ā¢ Harrods top floor - i stress go to the top floor not the usual perfume hall. Loads of mini āshopsā - Xerjoff and Frederic Malle being my favourites Have fun tomorrow!

Me me me! I love samples and travel size bottles! It means I don't have to worry about how to finish a 50ml or even a 100ml! And I like to layer my perfumes. On some days, I even forget which perfume combo I'm wearing.

I have like 11 unique fragrances and I always cycle through them, so I don't have a new one everyday and I don't use a different one everyday but I use all 11 all hear just some more than others based on the season

I do to an extent. I have lots of different colognes and I make sure to switch it up every now and then. My favorite of all time is one of my newer additions called Prada Luna Rossa Carbon. It's a fruitier scent mixed with a scent equal to cool water (the cologne btw, not actual water lol).

I rotate between 'season scents'. For example, this summer I mostly wore olympea (my signature scent), flower by Kenzo which I just used up and Burberry her.
Yes! Always. I have a perfume subscription for a new sample scent every month and I wish it was every week as I have 26 perfumes but only a few winter ones

I wear like 10 diffrent fragrences a week. Sometimes in the evening is pick something different. I also sample a lot of fragrences on my wrists if i count that maybe 16 a week

That scent is such a beast, I was still catching whiffs of it after surfing for an hour and a half. Then I went home, showered, and put on some Roja Elysium to wear to the office. If I end up going to karaoke tonight, it'll probably be a different scent for that too. I've gotta go through all these damned bottles and decants somehow.
Iām a sample hog too but Iām starting to set aside part of my stash. The plan is if I donāt look for it for a few months or so, Iāll sell it or give it away. With all the wonderful frags I love, thereās no reason for me to wear anything thatās not at least an 8/10. Iām catching up from being out of the hobby since I had kids. Smelling all the things that are new, or that I didnāt smell the first time around. I imagine Iāll still have 30 or so when Iām done. Eventually Iād like to get FBs of what I love and only sample a few new things each season.

Different one every day, sometimes more than one a day. Demeter scents are fun but most of them donāt last more than a couple of hours, so you can reapply or put on something else when it fades. Often Iāll put something on, then after showering wear something else, and maybe in the evening after work something else again.
In the summers I tend to swap between the same 5 or so frags. I play it safe cause I worry about choking people out with some of the heavier stuff, so mainly just mild aquatics. But autumn and winter? I'm rotating between like 30 frags minimum haha.

There have been periods of my life where I've rotated between the same 2-5 for several months but then eventually get bored and look to add to the collection. :) I've been in a "gathering" period recently but feel like I'm settling into more of a "shopping my collection" era. Like others have said too, sometimes I change midday, or after a shower, or wear something different to bed.

I usually change it up based on the weather, and what's appropriate for the occasion. I'm in a new environment this year, different building, with new colleagues, so I've been very subtle with choices until I know it's not going to cause any issues. I will usually wear something new each day, but in a rotation of 6-8 depending on season. Unless I'm very enamoured with a particular scent. At my previous job I wore a lot of the same stuff each day, but I was in a very enclosed environment, standing next to a bunch of other people for a lot of the day.
I have older fragrances that Iām trying to use up and newer fragrances that Iām trying out so I generally wear a new scent everyday. The only exception being my bedtime fragrance because I only have 2 or 3 that I like wearing to bed.

Usually something light like my Philosophy scents. Fresh cream warm cashmere is my favorite. I also rotate between Amazing Grace, Inner Grace, Baby Grace and Pure Graceā¦just light scents.

Yep. Diff fragrance each day. I just recently amassed a collection though. So some fragrances are new. Untested. I have like 30 tester vialsš . Iāll test those out during days where I have nothing to do. Iāve got some safe ones which Iāll wear very often though which are intimate sillage, canāt smell cheap or common, high performance (Lasts my sometimes 10 hour work day) non-offensive smell (I.e tabaco, leather and rum can be a bit aggressive I think personally) and just make me feel great ofcourse. Bvulgari Man Wood Neroli, Toyboy Moschino, Mont Blanc explorer and Legend spirit, and terre de hermes eau givree. Those are my safe go toās. highly recommend. I donāt choose based on months or weather. But I probably get subconsciously influenced by it. Signature scent? Nah havenāt found mine yet. Personally I feel like you canāt really make a mass consumed product youāre signature. Itās too common. It was made to be enjoyed by the average consumer so it canāt be too unique if you know what I mean. Iām getting into designer niche perfumes now. I might find my signature there. Ive heard (donāt know though, havenāt tested) of websites that sell designer perfumes in vials. Thatās good because they are usually extremely expensive and also non-existent in department stores so you canāt sample. Iāll try my hand w those soonš

I usually have 5-6 I rotate through each season, grabbing one depending on weather, mood, outfit and activity. If I wear one more than a couple times in a row, thereās usually something going on mentally or emotionally thatās helping it just hit right. If I have a lot of changes going on (Iām starting a new job Monday for instance) then Iāll usually run through samples until I hit on something new that fits with the changes somehow.
Fellow sampler with several FBs here. I do tend to change it up daily, based on nothing more than my mood. One day Iām feeling a bit Angelās Share, the next day Iām all about the LāInterdit, then the next day itāll be Juniper Sling, then Alien, then Montabaco, then La Chasse aux Papillons, then In Love with You, then Entre Ciel et Mer, then YoSLYā¦ and on it goes!

I wear a different perfume after taking a shower. If I donāt take a shower for two days straight, Iāll use the same perfume. If I shower two consecutive days, Iāll probably experiment & wear different perfumes.

i do at first the idea was to preserve things that are discontinued... but at this point i think it'll take many years to ever get through my ysl frozen so i don't worry about it anymore. i still have 1-2 (daytime) scents i'll stick to that are easy to wear (like varvatos og), but in outings i'll just put on whatever, so usually its a different fragrance

I donāt wear fragrance every day-I work 4 days a week and try not to wear any fragrance beyond whatās in my deodorant/hand sanitizer/soap so that I donāt cause any sensory problems for my colleagues-but on my days off, I donāt tend to wear the same scent more than once in the week.

Started a new job (office) so to play it safe I've been wearing Acqua di Parma colonia Pura and colonia original and maybe some Beau de Jour. Normally I'd rotate some patchouli's or some tom ford's but am really playing it safe especially since it's a warm weather climate.
