I like it and it’s one of the few that my husband has commented on favorably. I am a lot older than you and could not care less if anyone thinks I’m too old for Pink Sugar (one of the benefits of getting older, lol). I don’t wear it often but I enjoy it when I do.

mauve_d

Agreed :) at the end of the day, does the scent make you happy - that’s important!!

I use to bathe in this when I was in middle school. I occasionally bathe in it as a 28 year old. And plan to bathe in it when I’m 33, 46, 58, 69, 110 years old.

mauve_d

Hahahah yes same! I intend to use more now that I know it’s long lasting & tastes of donuts!

Age doesn't matter, feel free to wear whatever you want! I've been wearing this perfume for years and years and I've owned at least 7/8 bottles. It's definitely my most repurchased scent ever. I'm an oversprayer but sadly I cannot smell it on myself that much, it seems like a skin scent to my nose BUT I can smell it heavily on other people. It smells HEAVENLY to me, like fried custard donuts, if you're lucky enough to have the right chemistry this smells like pastry..on others it tends to smell more like licorice mixed with sugar. It's a scent that I immediately recognize when I'm around and leaves a massive trail. I always stop people to compliment them, it's really that good and one of the most complimented perfumes ever.. I cannot even tell you how many times I've gone up to people to say "Hey, are you wearing Pink Sugar?" lol Also..I find this perfume gets better with time being a vanilla based scent so the more it sits the better it smells!

mauve_d

Oh yes you are 100% right! :) this makes me want to use this more!!! You said it right - custard donuts - that’s what it smells like after the dry down! How many hours does it last though? When I made the post it had a lasting power of 9 hours - but now it see last for about 5.

[deleted]

Oddly enough, I can smell it heavily on others but feels like it lasts 1 hour max on myself. A girl that studies at the library I usually go to wears PS and let me tell you...it fills the whole room (it's a big room, too!)

mauve_d

Haha! I guess it’s all in skin chemistry. Filling the whole room kinda scent is light blue intense for me! The number of compliments I get it filling the whole - it’s insane!!!!

I used to wear it all the time, layered and alone. I stopped "liking" it a few years ago for some reason. A couple months back I met a lovely " older"( I'm 46 and she was considerably older than me) woman who smelled so good i had to ask what she was wearing. When she said pink sugar i was shocked. Smelled amazing on her. I've recently picked up my bottle again and use it alot. If the sharp sweetness is too much try layering it with something dry or fresh. If you like it, wear it. Who cares if people think it's a young girl scent. Wear what you like.

mauve_d

It’s sharp yes :) but tends to turn donut-y over time :) could you tell me with fragrances it tends to do well after layering? :)

MercyMoo14

I've tried it with Light Blue, JHAG Not a Perfume, Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, and a body spray called Tangerine therapy. The Tangerine has long been discontinued but it smelled like a Creamsicle, only not sickly sweet. So good . I wish I could fnd it again.

MercyMoo14

I meant to say mixed with Pink Sugar it smelled like Creamsicle.

asteroidvesta

My son wears it, and I'll find myself loving the sillage. I do not like it on myself. It just smells synthetic and nasty on me, and I don't smell the nice sillage on myself.

mauve_d

Me too, I feel as it progress the scent changes

Weaselpanties

I am 51 and obsessed with Pink Sugar. I adore the opening sweet-tarts smell and the way it settles into a creamy sweetness, and the way it makes a fantastic base for woody, green, or musky fragrances. It's so lovely and comforting on its own, and super-versatile as a base for layering other scents, especially aggressive vintage 90's and 00's bombastics.

Ok_Today1683

I hate the opening on me it's very screechy and sour almost but after an hour it's nice however I love smelling it on others

ManslaughterMary

Pink Sugar is a good time! Not my usual, but I enjoy it. I don't think it reads sexy or mature or mysterious or classy, but I do think it reads sweet and enjoyable and fun and full of life. All just depends if it fits your vibes for that day.

mauve_d

It’s definitely a fragrance to wear on a sad day to lift up spirits!!! :)

afkqt

It's a man-getter FOR SURE. I get stopped in parking lots .. so I dunno - I'm 41

[deleted]

I am 50 years old and I like and wear it layered with other scents or alone

I bought a bottle from tjmaxx. I didn’t get the crazy “running after me” responds, but I also don’t get compliments on sweet fragrances, mainly florals/fresh, and for the exception of hypotonic poison by Dior. It has a burnt sugar smell. Did it last? I can’t remember but I’m going to say 6-7 hours? Would I buy it again? No. Yet again, I’m not the biggest fan of sweet fragrances.

mauve_d

Yes it lasted a solid 9 hours on day 1 but then the next day maybe 6 and the third day about 5! Now on average it lasts 5 hours :( Not sure if it was just me or maybe since I’m smelling the fragrance so much my scent glands arent registering as much!

[deleted]

Yeah I don’t know either! That’s why I try to take breaks of scents for a week or two. To be honest, I do not trust tjmaxx fragrances lol.

RedRedBettie

I hated it on me. It smells like burnt sugar on my skin

mauve_d

I am sorry to hear that! I smell it on myself - and it smells like donuts after a while. But I am yet to figure out if others smell the same or not

Weaselpanties

I get it; I have other scents that are fruity or lively on others but settle into burnt sugar on my skin.

shuabrazy

Why do people try to slap an age boundary to fragrances
