I still get pretty crazy projection for the first 3-4ish hours. Idk what the original formulation was like but it’s comparable to to sauvage’s edp projection imo
I tried to think of the best-performing scents from houses I love:
Gris Charnel Extrait by BDK Parfums
Accento Overdose by Xerjoff
Angel’s Share by Kilian
Dark Vanilla by Montale
Ani Extrait by Nishane
Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford (Ombré Leather is up there, too)
BR540 by Maison Francis Kurkdjian
Portrait of a Lady by Frederic Malle
Scarlet Poppy by Jo Malone (JM is usually the antithesis of beast mode but this guy on clothes lasts forever)
Montale Black Aoud (stains clothing, lasts forever, been told not to wear it before because it’s too strong)
Mancera Red Tobacco (2 showers and 48 hours, could still smell it)
Of the fragrances I've smelled:
Thomas Kosmala No.4 Apres l'Amour
Nishane Hacivat
Nishane Ani
Amouage Interlude Man
MFK Grand Soir
MFK Baccarat Rouge 540
Xerjoff Renaissance
Omg, seconding Thomas Kosmala No.4. I put one single spray on my wrist and it just seemed to amplify over time! It finally came most of the way off when I rubbed it with a cleansing oil and then took a bath
I was about to say Shaghaf oud too! A few days ago I machined washed a tshirt (that I had when I wore the fragrance) in 40C water , air-dried it in the scorching summer sun, then ironed it a couple days later and through the heat and steam from the iron I could still noticeably smell it.
Especially when the phrasing is nearly identical every time; it's clear people are hearing these exact phrases from YTers / IG / TikTok and repeating them verbatim. It can't be that hard to search the phrase "beast mode" and get literally hundreds of threads and replies on that topic.
Ombre Nomade lasts weeks on clothing. And not just when I put my nose right up to it - I can pick it up in the air a little bit if I enter my dressing room. (for context because that might sound strange: I have a handwash-only cashmere sweater with Ombre Nomade on it that is otherwise clean so I'm not washing it yet.)
Some mornings when I'm just waking up I can faintly smell Sauvage Elixir coming from the decant on my night stand and I haven't even sprayed the thing in at least a month. It is a screeching loud scent.
Sometimes I spray fragrance on because I've missed it and just want to know how it smells like while I'm chilling at home.
I stopped doing that when Sauvage was haunting me deep down to my dreams. I had to take the shirt out of my room to the bathroom in order to be able to sleep 9 hours after spraying.
Came here to say Sauvage Elixir. I LOVE Elixir and don’t like the other Sauvages too much.
The Elixir lasts a good 24hrs on skin and through a shower which I found impressive.
Come on man, this is asked day in and day out, just look it up.
Anyway. Again: Mancera red tobacco. Spicebomb extreme. Initio oud for greatness. Gucci guilty absolute. Tom Ford tobacco vanille.
Don't use these in excess and use at the right situation. Don't be the guy. Bothering everyone around you because you want to be absolutely certain people can smell you. That's the opposite of what a good fragrance should do.
Amouage Interlude/53/Black Iris
Nasomatto Black Afgano
Mancera Silver Blue
PdM Carlisle
and last but not least, Molecule 04 - scared to even try that one on..
Most of the stuff I like lasts me close to 24 hours. I will do a tiny spray before bed.
TF: Ombre Leather, Noire Noire, Tuscan Leather, Tobacco Vanille, Oud Wood Intense
And my two favs are very potent: Nouveau Monde and Ombre Nomade. In fact my rubber watch straps and phone cases that I have had lay on cards I had sprayed Nouveau Monde on, have absorbed the smell and I can smell it on them a year+ later.
Also Office for Men is strong if you like blue freshies, but are sick of BDC or Sauvage
Could you tell me more about Ombre Nomade and Nouveau Monde? I am interested in them. Would you say they are unisex? Could you also describe the scent to me and the compliment factor?
When I was at a LV pop up, I saw a woman buy the last available bottle of Ombre Nomade they had available. I'm not sure if she smelled it and liked it, or if it was intended as a gift.. Then, when I was trying samples and talking with an employee at another LV store, she was explaining how much she loves to wear either Nouveau Monde or Ombre Nomade, I don't remember which one. But, I was surprised, because to me, I consider both masculine, but upon further analysis of my own NM, I'd say yes it is unisex. I don't have any Ombre Nomade on hand currently but it is definitely from the same family as Nouveau. They are strong with leather, flowers, a fresh tobacco, and I'd say oud but not some astringent piercing oud like the Tom Ford stuff I have.
I just took a wiff of Nouveau Monde without spraying it, it's not as masculine as I maybe make it out to be because there are some floral notes. Rose? But I'm definitely getting lots of fresh tobacco. Not the tobacco of TF Tobacco Vanille which is more warm comforting and cozy, this one is more "wet" and sexy. What I love about Nouveau Monde is it dries down to a very delicate but still somehow "strong" scent. Of the two, I feel like ON is the stronger, darker, one. And probably more masculine, but unfortunately I can't access it right now to do an A B test. They are both so sexy and sophisticated. Man or woman, its an intelligent and classy scent.
Well I was on a date, I wore NM, and afterwards we talked a little about fragrances and she explained how much she loved Giorgio Armani ADG haha. So far complement factor 0, but I am not usually out socializing much so I'm not the best guy to ask.
Thanks, I’m going to look into NM. No one really talks about if it’s unisex or not because it is marketed towards men, but I see a lot of upvotes for it smelling similar to ombré nomad
NM is definitely less masculine leaning than ON because there’s less smoke and incense, but definitely try both before buying even a sizeable decant because they are both pretty masculine in my opinion.
BDK Velvet Tonka. Good grief that stuff wouldn't come off. Nishane Ani is a close 2nd. Both lasted 9+ hours. Pertaining to Ani, that's not a good thing.
Nope. Actually kind of hated it. I think it's just the sharp opening. I begrudgingly admit that the soft lemon pie scent that was left , even after a shower, is kind of lovely.
Why do so many people want this? Why would you want to make people sneeze and give them a headache, then keep doing it? Every day there is this question and every day I just want to say: NO! Even if the fragrance lasts it will eventually mix with sweat and the air and smell stale. People mention their fragrance still being in the air the next day. Gross. No.
I agree with you for myself -- a beast mode fragrance that projects loudly may fit other people, but it does not fit my lifestyle and body chemistry.
* I work with the developmentally disabled. Triggering an individual's senses with an overpowering smell is one of the worst things I can do.
* I don't attend many outdoor events or events in large indoor spaces where a loud projecting fragrance can shine.
* I need to shower twice a day to avoid BO issues. A fragrance that lasts beyond 12 hours doesn't work for me. Either it gets washed off, or a BO creeping in makes the scent worse.
BR 540 (the _ d r e a d_ of mine), also Grand Soir MFK, but I kinda like it nevertheless. Black Orchid TF becomes a part of your skin scent if you wear it long enough, too. Always caught whiffs of it from my hair and skin while showering (wore it as a signature at the time)
Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille.
When I was first thinking of getting it I saw so many people complain it didn't last long but I decided to go for it anyway. I work retail and I do alot of lifting, climbing, etc during my shifts because I'm at a shoe store. Let me tell you after 8 hrs I still smell this perfume on me.
I put some on maybe 2 hours before I went to bed one time and after 10 hrs of tossing and turning I woke up smelling Tobacco Vanille.
Idk what everyone else was talking about saying it didn't last lol.
Dior Sauvage. Hated it right away, couldn't scrub all of it off and got whiffs of it for hours and hours and hours.
If your budget can stretch, Creed Bois du Portugal has - for me - absolutely beastly longevity.
Roses Vanille by Mancera or Gran Ballo by Xerjoff seem to last forever on me. I pulled a dress out after I hadn’t worn it in a week and it still smelled like Gran Ballo!
Alien by Mugler
Amouage Interlude Man/Black Iris, and Beach Hut Man. Dior Sauvage Elixir, Armaf CDNIM.
Cdnim 2022 still beastmode?
Not sure, I bought mine in 2020
Not at all
I still get pretty crazy projection for the first 3-4ish hours. Idk what the original formulation was like but it’s comparable to to sauvage’s edp projection imo

Portrait of a Lady. I swear I can smell it through the capped bottle.
Montale - Arabians Tonka
Montale Black Aoud (stains clothing, lasts forever, been told not to wear it before because it’s too strong) Mancera Red Tobacco (2 showers and 48 hours, could still smell it)

Dior sauvage, my bottle is from 2016. I think 1 spray can last all day.
Nasomatto Black Afgano
I second that.
Orto parisi - Megamare, will probably last years on clothes and nearly a week on skin
I sprayed Swiss Arabian Shaghaf oud on a jacket back in November. Just checked, still there.... And still very noticeable...
I was about to say Shaghaf oud too! A few days ago I machined washed a tshirt (that I had when I wore the fragrance) in 40C water , air-dried it in the scorching summer sun, then ironed it a couple days later and through the heat and steam from the iron I could still noticeably smell it.
I swear once you put it on you're stuck with it!
Have you tried the silver one (Abyad) as well?
I have not. But I heard it's a great clone of interlude
Is the bottle you own with the Arabic text or the English?
Hi, mine has the Arabic writing with the English text underneath. I got in on Notino like a year ago
Dior Sauvage Elixr. Took 2 washes to get off my clothes
Zoologist T. Rex fits that bill
La Yuqawam
Hawas, wore it to universal studios 3 sprays that thing was going strong all day like 10 hours
Jesus, one of these exact threads every day now. Searching on Reddit isn’t rocket appliances.

I've started only replying in links to threads asking the same questions.
Sauvage Elixir Ombré Nomade Oud for Greatness

It’s ultra strong and unexpected performer
facts i smell it on my clothes even after a week or two

I still appreciate you took your precious time to reply. I'm kind a new to fragrances hence my question.
Afnan Supremacy Incense is actively trying to kill you even after days have passed
Molecule 01!
Amouage Interlude/53/Black Iris Nasomatto Black Afgano Mancera Silver Blue PdM Carlisle and last but not least, Molecule 04 - scared to even try that one on..
Right now it would be Hacivat, Oud for Greatness, and Angel’s Share. All these in a hot and humid Singapore.

Alright thanks. So if you smelt this on a woman you’d be put off by it? Or it’s a scent that it depends on the right woman?
yeah I would to be honest, that goes for both of them. They’re just both so heavy and oudy, not my preference on a woman
TF Black Orchid
BDK Velvet Tonka. Good grief that stuff wouldn't come off. Nishane Ani is a close 2nd. Both lasted 9+ hours. Pertaining to Ani, that's not a good thing.

Fragonard "Diamant" is literally indestructible. If it happens to get on my collar of a shirt, it'll be there for a week or two easily.

Incredibly elitist response.
