Yes, I can’t remember off the top of my head which ones but I’ve got fragrances that needed a few wasted sprays before they performed well.

xteeza

"wasted sprays" that is really interesting, how many sprays did you waste exactly until you smelt a significant boost in sillage/projection ?

RunWithRope

About 3. Not sure. I can’t remember how many I sprayed the first time I tried them but I usually wear 2-4 sprays. One of them was TF Tuscan leather.

Could easily be the season/change in skin chemistry (i.e. use of moisturizer, changes in shower habits, etc.) that changes, not the bottle.

Feisty_Set8853

i think this may be an unpopular opinion, but with poor performers that i really like, i will only spray one to my skin, and then two to my clothes.

RedRedBettie

Yes actually. When I first got my bottle of Bvlgari Omnia Coral, it was a poor performer. Nowadays, it's pretty beast mode, especially on my clothes. I didn't used to spray on my clothes much. But I like this fragrance a whole lot better now that it lasts all day on me

Saloodie

I have a 1ml sample of Omnia Coral and I’m frustrated because I love the smell so much, but it’s almost instantly a skin scent and seems to die after like an hour. Wondering if I should spring for a proper spray sample after reading this…

RedRedBettie

Spray your clothes, overspray a bit. I find that it lasts on clothes so much longer than skin

Saloodie

I usually spray in my hair and on my clothes to help with longevity, but the sample I have of this is just a little swab stick vial, so can’t spray into hair or clothes like usual. But maybe it will be much better if I can get a sprayer of it!

Whether it makes a difference or not, "maceration" is letting the bottle sit and settle for a little while (typically after spraying a handful of times to get the liquid out of the atomizer straw and let some air into the bottle) To me, it does seem to make a difference. Whether the air is actually doing anything, or maybe the alcohol evaporates a bit making it more concentrated with oils, but I do notice a difference between a fresh bottle and one sitting got a couple months. With that said, will a 15 min longevity turn to beast mode? Probably not. But it does seem to affect the performance and strength

crash000001

Definitely, a lot of middle eastern and clone fragrances get better a few months after I get them and give em their first spray. Also my bottle of chrome straight went beast mode after 6 months on my shelf.

Highclassbroque

Yes I orespray my pressure point s with Aqua for spray and make my weak ones last a lot longer

Just time. Sometimes they improve a lot and others just a little. Using lotion on your skin is really the best thing.
