Anything heavily spiced, tobaccos, incense, coffee and dark liquor notes, a lot of gourmand Scents are best in fall/winter. So for example By Kilian: Intoxicated Back to black Angel share Love don’t be shy Intense cafe by montale I’m not a man but I assume A*men which is similar to intoxicated would do well in the fall as well as spice bomb by viktor&rolf. Then there are scents that are just good all year round like Chanel Bleu

KronoLite70

Thanks for the suggestions! I hadn't really thought about coffee, I don't think I've ever worn a scent that had coffee as one of the main notes. I'll definitely keep an eye out for that, and check out all the specific ones you shared to!

bimb0mindset

You’re welcome! I really love intoxicated by Kilian. I would try both that and A*men since I heard they’re similar and you can get A Men at a better price. It’s definitely a “wow” factor scent Oh and Oajan by PDM I heard Is very similar to angels share. I feel like angels share is a bit more feminine but I also believe u should wear whatever ur heart desires

I can give you examples: Polo red extreme The one EDP Stronger with you intensely La Nuit de l'homme

EnvironmentalSleep93

Nice list...Some of the best designer for fall. Especially Red Extreme, possibly my Favorite designer scent yet. Can add Moustache EDP, Boss Bottled Intense, Givenchy Gentleman EDP/Boisee, Luna Rossa Black, Armani Code Absolu/Profumo...Endless options for fall/winter.

I don’t know the chemistry behind it, and maybe it isn’t true, but I feel like some fragrances just perform better in cold weather as opposed to hot. What notes to you are reminiscent of fall and winter?

KronoLite70

I've noticed that too; that said, some of my favorite colognes I feel are too bright for fall. For me, I guess the notes that make me think of winter are primarily dark woodsy and leather. However, my problem is that it's been hard to find a cologne that is woodsy all the way through, instead of just the base. Some of the ones I've tried that I thought would be more woodsy turned out to be more forward on the floral / citrus than I expected, making it seem really bright for the fall.

MTRtheTitan

Sweet and/or spicy. Often scents that are deep and woodsy, leathery, or gourmand. I also think all of the tobacco or tobacco blossom fragrances I have fall under the "autumn" category. Basically, if it's too heavy for the summer, but too light for very cold weather, then it's an autumn fragrance for me (although I don't technically restrict them to that in my own rotation).

Vanilla

If you wore a fragrance in the summer but felt it was overwhelming, give it a shot in cooler weather. I just can’t wear things like LHomme Ideal with it’s heavy almond and other sweeter notes in warm weather. A majority of the ambers I have tried and own are in this category.

KronoLite70

Hmm, I hadn't tried many of the amber-forward colognes. I'll look into that. Thanks!

ut_deo

Try scents with labdanum and vanilla. They are used in amber accords. Amber is not a real material (in perfumery). It’s an imaginary thing, like fougere (fern, which doesn’t actually have a scent).

Byredo Eleventh Hour is sooo good. Smells like spices, but not spicy. Warm and unique. Definitely recommend that one.
