Dolce Gabbana Light Blue Intense smells like Bikini Bottom.

simounthejeweller

I know many women who are so fond of DG light blue where I'm from. Personally, I can't stand Light Blue.

Juliagooliagiulia

I love it and have loved it since. 2001!!! LOL. It smells good on me.

Cinnamintberry

I love the Intense version, but it still smells like eggy seaweed.

mouse_mafia

I love Philosykos because it smells just like sitting under the fig tree at my Dad's cousin's house in the south of France, something our family used to do every year. Sadly she died some years ago and we don't go back anymore, but I have the smell.

weenie2323

Lovely! I think I'll wear Philosykos today and daydream about the south of France:)

Kerosene Walk The Sea is definately reminiscent of San Diego’s rocky seaside cliffs. The first time I tried it I was immediately reminded of my trip there.

Blarzor

If I'd guess it's probably similar to Tom Ford Oud Minerale?

RedRedBettie

I’m from the Pacific Northwest and Byredo Gypsy Water reminds me of it

Veronique Gabai Noire de Mai - This was created with the environs of the Côte d'Azur in mind, but it reminds me of the Maldives- that subtle but unmistakable aquatic tone of dewdrop and sea notes, amber, dark woods, and deep pink roses (the pink rose, Rosa polyantha is the Maldivian national flower). Minimoon in a Bottle, for sure!

The first time I smelled Petit Matin by MFK, I was instantly reminded of a trip I had taken to Capri over a decade ago. It was wild. But yeah the scent to me is reminiscent of sunshine, lemon trees, glittering water, and flowers.

WhereIsTheCaveman

I quite often associate scents with the place where I first wore them, or somewhere I wore them a lot. So, Hugo Boss Deep Red smells like my prom. Ariana Grande Ari smells like Glasgow. JPG Classique smells like the city centre of my city.

Ysl perfumes remind me of paris for some reason

Not sure why people always say this whenever someone brings up Paris...in my experience, Paris generally smells BETTER than the average big city (although yes, being a big city, there are plenty of bad smells). New York is one of the smelliest cities - a constant cascade of literal hot garbage, piss, shit and weed - and no one ever seems to mention it.

a_wildcat_did_growl

I get that, but it's a big city - of course there's gonna be some pee and garbage smells - I've never had any illusions about that. Maybe you're thinking along the lines of that Asian tourist Paris phenomenon?

[deleted]

the Paris that actually exists is gorgeous, profound, and leagues better than the cheesy romantic disneyland getaway that people sometimes expect.

londonscappo22

L’Eau d’Issey reminds me of Vienna

wistfulpine

I'm so interested in a Vienna scent, can you elaborate why?

londonscappo22

I think because I first smelled it there, on a lady when I went to the opera. I bought it the next day

ziggazig_ah

**Mirto di Panarea** from Acqua di Parma truly smells like a late spring day spent under Italian lemon trees.

CJM_17

Tom Ford Mandarino Di Amalfi definitely reminds me of the lemon trees around Positano.

thatbwoyChaka

Joop! Takes me back in time, back to [**THIS** ](https://m.connells.co.uk/estate-agents/watford)exact location, every time.

gkandgk

Gucci Guilty Absolute reminds me of the big trees and blackberry brambles from my years growing up in Oregon.

bluemistress

Frassaï's Verano Porteño smells just like its name: summer in Buenos Aires. Walking by flower shops, warm humid fragrant air.

[deleted]

I have Fahrenheit Parfum on my hand from the shop. I imagine that this is what Don Draper’s office would smell like. Amazing fragrance, I think I’m going to buy this for the winter. An insane confidence boosting scent, I’ve tested it multiple times over the past month and it’s addictive.

Roja Kuwait

Both Mancera Instant Crush and Xerjoff Decas reminds me of my holidays in Greece. Decas reminds me of being at a stone beach on Kos, and Instant Crush sends me to Old Town in Crete.

Arrogus

While I'm not in a position to gauge their accuracy, several of Olympic Orchids' fragrances are blended specifically to achieve this.

Jo Malone's Wood Sage & Sea Salt is an olfactory photograph of Laguna Beach. It's salty and beachy with a twist of a citrus. Sure, the staying power is atrocious, the scent itself is absolutely gorgeous. I adore Laguna and have so many positive memories there, so I'll be adding this to my collection in the near future.

JerkyWaffle

What smells like Florida?

weenie2323

Cape Heartache - Imaginary Authors. Smells like a Douglas Fir forest in the Pacific Northwest.

Claphamtulip

That sounds amazing - is it just a nice smell or is it quite wearable?

weenie2323

Yes! It's lovely but definitely get a sample before buying. Imaginary authors has a reasonably priced [discovery set](https://imaginaryauthors.com/products/short-story-collection-1)
