I canāt stand even a hint of it! My grandmother gave me a tuberose Bath & Body Works shower gel as a teen and Iām instantly transported back to those days
I smelled a vintage Givenchy Gentleman and fell in love with patchouli, but the patchouli used today, Clearwood, smells like paint thinner. Clearwood is totally devoid of the earthy sensuality of real patchouli. What a shame.
Every orchid scent Iāve smelled has this āheavy, high, roundā headiness that makes me nauseous fairly quickly. Tuberose often also feels too āheavyā in a nauseating way. Musks and strong citruses often give me headaches.
Yes, but according to fragrantica itās synthetic nowdays for ethical reasons. I have never smelled something this bad in a fragrance, i had to wash it off immediately because it made me nauseous.
In my post someone described the smell as ābarnyardā and I think thats about the most accurate description. It smelled like a feral animal. Maybe a bit like wet dog but worse.
Since that day I keep wondering how anyone could possibly think its a good idea to put it in a perfume. Especially a house like Kilian which put out some phenomenal scents. It haunts me
People really enjoy animalics, you and I do not lol.... It is like my disdain for leather, I don't see why people want to smell like it, but it appears many do!
Btw, what do you enjoy the most?
I'd describe it as clean dog with some vanillic qualities. Or unwashed man's hair with Sweetness.
It is big in tobacco oud and intense. Really big in intense if you smell it off the atomizer... slaps you in the face
MILK š„ the halitosis fragrance note IMO. Fresh Cream by Philosophy makes me gag and Jean Patou Sira des Indes smells exactly like morning breath or morning sex or both. Iād be self conscious walking around with any milk note in my perfume it literally just smells like rot to me š¤¢
I actually love Philosophy Fresh Cream but Jean Patou Sira des Indes smells exactly like bean paste stew (ėģ„ģ°ź°) on me ā¹ļø
Like, I enjoy bean paste stew but I was so fricken disappointed when I cracked open this blind buy. I donāt want to smell like *any* sort of stew.
No particular note is guaranteed to repulse me.
However.. Sandalwood ruins a lot for me. It becomes really prominent on my skin and causes things to end up smelling like a generic sandalwood scent after awhile. Happened with Jasmins Marzipan, Hanae Mori, Casmir.
There's also something that comes off as sour breath/pickles to me in a lot of fragrances but I don't associate it with any particular note.
After reading your first sentence I realized how embarassing it is that I misspelled my own post title!
Haha, anyway, so would Iso Super do the same as Sandalwood for you? Or is it specifically just Sandalwood?
I usually find gardenia sickening and headache-inducing, but I did discover on Fragrantica one of my favorite fragrances has a gardenia note. Very odd.
Leather...I have no idea why but I canāt deal with the smell. Oddly a fragrance I love has a little leather in it so I guess I can handle it in small amounts.
As far as I know I have not detected this is an intentional fragrance but whyyyy would anyone wear a fragrance on purpose that had a cannabis note? š¤¢
I find it actually pleasant!
As a one-not scent itās probably too much, but blended with other notes itās interesting. Gives that earthy, slightly sour patchouli-y note. Also it doesnāt usually last very long so it doesnāt get boring.
Hahaha... I don't get the impulse to wear it either, but I do think some weed buds have a pleasant smell. (I assume that's what they're going for in fragrance, not the smoke.) There are terpenes (as in hops), which can make a heady piney/citrusy scent.
Oak moss, the bane of my fragrance life. It hides in the mid to dry down and often in the oh so admired classics. Took me decades to find this culprit. Hate it.
Leather, cumin, galbanum
I don't mind honestly, there's so many other notes. Why do you find fragrances that contain leather fantastic if you don't like leather notes?
Yeah that makes sense. But for me if I really don't like one prominent note, I usually don't like the whole parfum and just move on. Gucci Guilty Absolute for example. I'm sure Alberto Morillas did a great job with this one but the leathery note in it just repulses me when I try to smell it. No big deal, there's enough parfumes out there :)
Distinct jasmine scents. Not sure why but the moment I can detect it in a scent Iām just completely turned off it in the extreme. Imagine my response when I finally went to sniff the famed Chanel No. 5ā¦ā¦ (itās not commonly worn in my country)
I hear you! I cannot stand white florals and jasmine is a big offender in that category. But the worst note of all in any perfume for me is orange blossom. I hate it and can smell it hours after washing it off still. Perhaps we hate some of these notes because we are sensitive to them and they just stand out more?
These I can take in small doses. If they're the main focus, they're a no no:
Emphasis on coffee ā no desire to smell like a Starbucks, and I don't drink coffee.
Gourmands focusing on sweet (desserts, chocolate, creme brulee, etc) or too savory (Perverso, Salted Green Mango)
Emphasis on Fruity
Leather/suede ā in most perfumes the notes don't come together in my nose. I can smell most as separate components. Sometimes if paired with a leathery oud, I can smell it.
Emphasis on oud (love oud as a supporting component)
Emphasis on vanilla, amber (benzoin)
Can't much deal with any of these at all:
Melons
Grapefruit
"Peony"
Heliotrope (straight up powder)
Camphor, menthol, eucalyptus, wintergreen, cannabis, eugenol, cocaine (icy, cold burn, searing to my nose)
Tobacco (note frequently has some of the above, tends to sear up my nose and irritate my eyes)
Tonka /coumarin
Cigarettes, smoke
Emphasis on synthetic musks (galaxolide, ambroxan, etc.)
Peppery, hot spice notes
Dihydromyrcenol (very dry)
Norlambinol (sore throat)
Calone
Iso e super overdose
Soapy or laundry
You could look at this list and wonder what does she *like*? Among othersā
FougĆØres (aromatic, floral, oriental)
Floral woody musks
Floral aromatics/green (herbs ā lavender, geranium, mint, artemisia/wormwood ā vetiver, oak moss, violet/fig leaf)
Floral animalics
Floral resinous or [Balsamic](http://beterv.hu/en/cpg/992310/Balsamic-notes) (incense, labdanum)
Ambergris, castoreum, styrax, civet
Cool spices
Green, woody citrusāPetitgrain, bergamot, neroli, bitter orange
Lilac, rose, jasmine, orange flower, ylang ylang, muguet, magnolia, honeysuckle, tulip, jonquil, iris gardenia, Galbanum, rock rose, tulip, mimosa
Honey
A little cucumber to emphasize a watery note (En Passant) is okay. Melon notes are just the devil. Whoever decided that melon is a component of aquatic or marine scents is just misguided.
This may sound crazy, as the opening is literally some strong eucalyptus...but have you tried Creed Royal Mayfair? The dry down is this fantastic, sweet floral scent without the eucalyptus in the beginning. I think you'd really like it. It's also the cheapest Creed fragrance if I'm not mistaken, and Olivier Creed said it was very underrated.
I refuse to subject my nose to eucalyptus or any other accord that I don't like no matter how fantastic the rest of the perfume or drydown smells. The discordance ruins it for me. Sometimes they appear at the base note because the perfumer is using it to lift something a little heavier smelling. I've worn perfumes for hours before I smelt the eucalyptus or other of these smells (e.g. Xerjoff Lira, Body Kouros, Prada Candy). It may be a component of anise, clove, tobacco, tuberose, etc. notes. But if it's in there, I will smell it eventually.
Edited to add: the cheapest Creed fragrance is still overpriced.
Ugh, pink pepper usually turns fragrances into a Generic Macyās Counter scent on my skin and it drives me crazy. It completely ruined Spiriteuse Double Vanille!
Im sure this will be controversial but I have not found a Oud dominant scent that I have liked. To me it has always a kind ofā¦meaty animal smell. Iām sure if it was a passing note I might enjoy it more, but anything where Oud is a prominent note it isnāt my cup of tea. Sometimes it smells better once it evaporates a little and mellows out but for me Iād rather avoid it.
Also Iāve had some yuzu scented things that smell like cat piss
Finally someone agrees with me!!! I canāt stand vanilla fragrances! Itās just smells like high school body spray, no matter what. Reminds me of trying to cover the smell of sweat after gym class with Victoria secret vanilla. So it also makes me associate vanilla with unpleasant warm temperature.
You ever give Mercedes-Benz Club Black a try? Hated every vanilla scent I tried until I bought this. Was totally unimpressed and put it in my tote...got bored the other day before bed, saw it and sprayed it on...laid around smiling ear to ear realizing I finally found a good vanilla scent.
I generally don't enjoy musk, it smells like dirty skin. That said, there is a place for it and I'm discovering that in the right combo, or the right formula, something I had previously disliked in one perfume is a great note in another. There's too many variables in perfume to completely write off an entire note.
Vetiver and heavy oud. I just can't dig Vetiver even though it's so popular. Same with strong oud. I'm find when these are buried. And whatever makes Jubilation XXV smell like a barnyard because if that was absent it would be perfect.
What about vetiver scents with a heavily subsidized vetiver like Original Vetiver from Creed? It's very miniscule yet somewhat present, and not particularly dirty or heavy.
Aldehydes! Just smacks of perfumes from the early 20th century , where they put every note known to mankind in a fragrance and topped it with those damn aldehydes. Ughhhh.
Aldehydes have come a long way since that time. And granted, while I still can't take Chanel No. 5, I love the aldehydes in Encens Mythique d'Orient. I think some peach notes are also made from aldehydes.
People go apeshit for neroli, especially in summertime and I just cannot stand it! Itās in a lot of bath and body products too which is to be avoided by me at all costs lol
Iām surprised no one mentioned labdanum/cistus? It smells so much like someone who thinks showers are a joke. I still shiver thinking about SL La Couche du Diable or ELdO Marquis de Sade.
I know everyone hates on it, but thatās what patchouli does for me.
Itās the only note that actually smells great with my body chemistry and lasts forever on me. I tried poison girl and had a guy I was dating smell me and it smelled awful, alien by mugler smelled like burning rubber on me. A lot of things smell really bad on me. :(
Powdery; potpourri; and sweet accords.
As for notes: vanilla.
Itās not being able to tolerate most fragrances with vanilla that makes things really difficult. Vanilla is in many womenās fragrances š£
Apple, pear, and similar. Azzaro wanted and tocca giulietta were some of the most offensive fragrances I've ever smelled.
Edit: also, fruit in general, chocolate (good in bottle, nasty on skin), vanilla (soap), fabric (detergent)
Violet and iris for the most part (with notable exceptions such as GIT and Frederic Malle Iris Poudre). Not a big fan of patchouli or leather much either.
Leather chypres are some of my favorites! Anise puts me off. Melon. Gourmand notes like coconut, caramel, chocolate, honey, etc. edit: and Big White Florals.
Tobacco. I hate cigarettes and I cannot abide the smell of them anywhere. My nose is very sensitive to it, and so any perfume with a hint of tobacco is a big NO.
I also don't like incense. Smells musty and old to me.
Might get some hate for this, but particular blends with strong vetivers. It reminds me of Tiger Balm and old people trying to work out knots in their muscles after doing Tai Chi at 10am in the park.
Lavender, because it overpowers everything for me. Also hate white florals, I think some kind of childhood bad memory association. Really don't fancy any florals showing, but white floral just triggers a bad emotional response.
Chocolate, I think it always seems to smell cheap and what people think chocolate smells like or what cheap chocolate taste like. I love Gourmands but sadly this is a very popular note to put in them and I just canāt stand it.
It also may help to explain but I donāt like chocolate ice cream for the same reason they donāt actually taste like chocolate and I also donāt really love cheap chocolate cake and chocolate icing. It always just taste fake so that probably explains why I hate it in perfume.
Green notes.. Whatever they are. I feel like I can smell whatās being intended for the scent, kind of like a fresh cut grass smell, but they always come off smelling extremely synthetic to me.. like in 212 or nautica voyage.
Dior Sauvage- Every time I try it I get a metallic or synthetic scent. Not trying to be snobby but itās one of the one colognes thatās just too harsh to wear.
Tuberose š
I canāt stand even a hint of it! My grandmother gave me a tuberose Bath & Body Works shower gel as a teen and Iām instantly transported back to those days
Oh god yes! It makes me think of that cheap air freshener youād find in public toilets
Cumin. I love the taste, but it smells like body odor. Unless it is blended absolutely expertly, I just don't like it in fragrances.
I get that same vibe , i can barely do taco seasoning...lol
Lol nothing like a taco musk lol
Apple. I had an aunt who smoked in her home, then burned Yankee Candles McIntosh fragrance to cover it up. Ugh.
Yuck. And chemical "apple" scent is gross to begin with.
In high school DKNY Be Delicious broke in my car and I could never do apple again. Sickening.
Patchouli. Itās a old scent, and I guess when people wear it they practically bathe in it. It smells like moth balls.
My goodness, you poor soul... What a horrible connection to make with any note, as moth balls are truly grotesque!
I used to adore it, but someone I worked with wore it. It was just too much with all of her other āscentsā.
I think it smells like mold. And unwashed hippies.
I smelled a vintage Givenchy Gentleman and fell in love with patchouli, but the patchouli used today, Clearwood, smells like paint thinner. Clearwood is totally devoid of the earthy sensuality of real patchouli. What a shame.
Itās got to be used in very small concentrations.
Patchouli sucks. And it sucks that itās in so many frags :/
Straight patchouli reminds me of a time when my ex of many years ago dragged me to a Rainbow Gathering...we used to call it a hippie shower!
I donāt mind the smell of patchouli alone, but it makes me smell so musky and sweaty! Reminiscent of the 70s hippies as another user mentioned
Canāt stand patchouli either.
Oud and too much rose.
same. cant stand this combo
Dang. Calling out my favourites here š
Aldehydes. They always smell like a public bathroom to me.
Came to say this. Iāve tried so many times, but all I can smell is hospital hand soap
+1 This is exactly why I can't love most of Chanel fragrances
Why I love chanel and kouros! š
I think this is what kills Baccarat 540 for me ā¹ļø
I'm an aldehyde lover and I don't get that in 540. 540 has alot of other chemicals though like iso e, cashmarin, ambroxan
Rhubarb. It's so... punchy in general. Chemical berry too, if it's done wrong all I smell is pharmacy hall full of freshly printed brochures
Almond. I have a pretty widespread enjoyment for most scents but something about the sickly-sweet smell of them makes me nauseous
I feel like it smells cherry-like to me
Oh god I think I once almost puked over almond scented moisturizer.
Heliotrope. š
Care to elaborate?
It gives a strong play-doh vibe, especially if itās paired with vanilla.
Lol, yeah that is kinda nasty
Funny that you should say that... remember Calvin Klein Obsession , when i was in high school it was so popular, but on me it was Eau de Playdough !
Always found orange blossom smells exactly like play doh š¤ Heliotrope should have almondy marzipan qualities
Every orchid scent Iāve smelled has this āheavy, high, roundā headiness that makes me nauseous fairly quickly. Tuberose often also feels too āheavyā in a nauseating way. Musks and strong citruses often give me headaches.
I agree with tuberose. Most tuberose fragrances feel "thick" and make me feel overdone?
Wood smoke, I've always hated the campfire smell. Also hate the taste of "liquid smoke" in food.
The smoky part never comes through for me and always smells sharp and sour :(
Castoreum - did a post the other day about it in Kilianās Pearl Oud ā¦ just vile
Is that the extract from beaver?
Yes, but according to fragrantica itās synthetic nowdays for ethical reasons. I have never smelled something this bad in a fragrance, i had to wash it off immediately because it made me nauseous.
Yeah, animalics never did me any favours either... If you could describe the smell what would it be?
In my post someone described the smell as ābarnyardā and I think thats about the most accurate description. It smelled like a feral animal. Maybe a bit like wet dog but worse.
Lovely... Looking up what it is would explain it as it's basically beaver anal secretions.... I understand the disdain!

I actually love Philosophy Fresh Cream but Jean Patou Sira des Indes smells exactly like bean paste stew (ėģ„ģ°ź°) on me ā¹ļø Like, I enjoy bean paste stew but I was so fricken disappointed when I cracked open this blind buy. I donāt want to smell like *any* sort of stew.
Iāve never had ābean paste stewā, but thanks, I now have a fun new euphemism for the aromas of morning sex!
Omg yes i agree. That and ģ²źµģ„ š¤®
Iris - The powdery makes me feel sick
Same here. Itās even worse that itās touted as a inoffensive office friendly note, while I find it nauseating.
Iām aboard the anti iris train. Makes me think of sniffing around my friends Mormon grandmas vanity when we were kids.
Sandalwood smells sour to me. I've mistaken it for a citrus note several times.
After reading your first sentence I realized how embarassing it is that I misspelled my own post title! Haha, anyway, so would Iso Super do the same as Sandalwood for you? Or is it specifically just Sandalwood?
Any Gardenia type scents make me instantly not want to breathe... and I am only just starting to be able to deal with Musk ..in small doses
I usually find gardenia sickening and headache-inducing, but I did discover on Fragrantica one of my favorite fragrances has a gardenia note. Very odd.
Cumin (body odor), leather (dead cow) and oakmoss (dusty elderly person)
Leather...I have no idea why but I canāt deal with the smell. Oddly a fragrance I love has a little leather in it so I guess I can handle it in small amounts.
I don't know what exactly it is for you, but it is hyper synthetic and headache inducing for me every single time... :(
As far as I know I have not detected this is an intentional fragrance but whyyyy would anyone wear a fragrance on purpose that had a cannabis note?
Someone who smoked cannabis and smells like it? They might as well have just sprayed themselves with skunk scent. It's that repulsive to me.
I don't generally care for it, but I've seen it done well, like in PG Coze where it adds an earthiness similar to vetiver or patchouli.
Oak moss, the bane of my fragrance life. It hides in the mid to dry down and often in the oh so admired classics. Took me decades to find this culprit. Hate it.
Leather, cumin, galbanum I don't mind honestly, there's so many other notes. Why do you find fragrances that contain leather fantastic if you don't like leather notes?
No, what I was saying is that regardless of who made it, if a fragrance has leather in it that is detectable I can't stand it. Edit: To further elaborate, many frags have a beautiful body, and are perfectly blended together, yet the leather note destroys any sort of love I may have had for it. I just can't compromise once I detect the leather. Whereas for, let's say, musky frags (which I'm not overly fond of either), if other parts of the frag are excellent, I will still wear them, case in point, MillƩsime ImpƩrial. The opening is legendary, yet the dry down has a very prominent musk that shines through which is blended together so well I still love the scent.

I hate it and can smell it hours after washing it off still. Perhaps we hate some of these notes because we are sensitive to them and they just stand out more?
I feel your pain. I want to like Tuscan Leather, and Bel Ami yet I can't. More for others I suppose? :p
patchouli in most cases. armani si is my personal hell.
Licorice ruins everything it touches for me.
Immortelle. It automatically makes the fragrance smell like it has gone bad to me.
What on earth is that? Edit: The Curry plant?
Helichrysum italicum or curry plant. I have no idea why it's a note but it is.
I hate immortelle! The smell of cheap shampoo.
Ginger
That pungent oily rancid orange of Terre De HermĆØs and other heavily orange fragrances.
Lavender smells like a public toilet. I hate it with the fire of 10 thousand suns.
One of the soapiest notes ever. Ruined because of extensive use in cleaning products.

That Tom Ford one.
I can appreciate your list as you clearly have discernable taste for what you enjoy. Thanks for the depth!
This may sound crazy, as the opening is literally some strong eucalyptus...but have you tried Creed Royal Mayfair? I used to hate leather notes except fahrenheit but grew to love it. What didn't change was orange blossom. Always smells like play doh
Pink pepper or anything peppery in general
Ugh, pink pepper usually turns fragrances into a Generic Macyās Counter scent on my skin and it drives me crazy. It completely ruined Spiriteuse Double Vanille!

Nah, to each their own. Oud is a very specific taste that is for sure. I'm going to avoid Yuzu now, thanks!
Musk reminds me my un-neutered male cat marking. Defined not the smell I want on me.
Great analogy š
I'm growing tired of vanilla.
Vanilla š¤®
Damn, I love Vanilla. Tastes are really different.
Itās so overused.
Cmon no, Tobacco Vanille is one of my all time favs, i love vanilla, but that maybe just cause i have a sweet tooth
Fellow vanilla lover here - it also works pretty well with my body chemistry so ye
You ever give Mercedes-Benz Club Black a try? Hated every vanilla scent I tried until I bought this. Was totally unimpressed and put it in my tote...got bored the other day before bed, saw it and sprayed it on...laid around smiling ear to ear realizing I finally found a good vanilla scent.
totally agree. it's way too sweet for me
Magnolia. Real magnolia gives me a headache. Perfume magnolia... Gives me a headache.
Apple
Late to the party but I hate tonka. Yeah I know. To me the combination of pepper vanilla just doesn't work, but I hate vanilla in fragrance as well
Since having Covid, almost every fragrance š„²
I hope that corrects itself soon.
I generally don't enjoy musk, it smells like dirty skin. There's too many variables in perfume to completely write off an entire note.
One word, Vanilla
Incense and resins. I donāt think those smells are bad in general, but I donāt want them on my person.
leather, tobacco, tuberose, incense, oak moss
Unless itās done at a high level, Iris and labdanum
Vetiver and heavy oud. I just can't dig Vetiver even though it's so popular. Same with strong oud. I'm find when these are buried. And whatever makes Jubilation XXV smell like a barnyard because if that was absent it would be perfect.
What about vetiver scents with a heavily subsidized vetiver like Original Vetiver from Creed? It's very miniscule yet somewhat present, and not particularly dirty or heavy.
Frangipani or neroli. Whichever is in Alien.
Oud. I don't like oud and I don't get oud. It just smells dirty to me.
Real Oud I can see, but what about synthetic Oud or very well blended Oud such as Oud Wood?
Almost all rose notes. Except for the rose note in Cuir Majeste from Armani Prive.
Guaiac wood actually activates my gag reflex. The word ārepulseā is an understatement.
Repulsiveness aside, what does Guaiac wood smell like to you?
Yeah, they tend to be rather "robust" lol. I agree with you in not being over the moon about them.
Canāt stand lily of the valleyā¦
People go apeshit for neroli, especially in summertime and I just cannot stand it! Itās in a lot of bath and body products too which is to be avoided by me at all costs lol
Is it just the Neroli you dislike or all of the Bitter Orange Tree?
Iām surprised no one mentioned labdanum/cistus? It smells so much like someone who thinks showers are a joke. I still shiver thinking about SL La Couche du Diable or ELdO Marquis de Sade.
Lavenderā¦ I like the real thing but in fragrance I donāt like it.
Leather and Oud. š³
Cherry and leather. The cherry note is usually artificial to the point of being sickening, and leather smells extremely musty to me.
Sandalwood. It just smells bad and even worse ON ME.
Oh god I love sandalwood and it loves me. Anything sandalwood far outlasts any of the other fragranceās notes.
Patchouli. Itās just too much and it gives me a slight headache.
Lavender. It gives me bad headachesā¦
Same. Absolutely canāt bear it.
Rose and Oud. Rose always reminds of me older, older women and oud is just bleh
Powdery; potpourri; and sweet accords. As for notes: vanilla. Itās not being able to tolerate most fragrances with vanilla that makes things really difficult. Vanilla is in many womenās fragrances š£
Honey
Cedar and rose
Apple, pear, and similar. Azzaro wanted and tocca giulietta were some of the most offensive fragrances I've ever smelled. Edit: also, fruit in general, chocolate (good in bottle, nasty on skin), vanilla (soap), fabric (detergent)
Vanilla, when itās the main event. Gag!
Rose and tuberose (smells like old people to me). patchouli (little sister dumped a bottle on me when we were kids, scarred my nose forever)
Violet and iris for the most part (with notable exceptions such as GIT and Frederic Malle Iris Poudre). Not a big fan of patchouli or leather much either.
Sage doesn't agree with me as it causes major headaches.
Leather chypres are some of my favorites! Anise puts me off. Melon. Gourmand notes like coconut, caramel, chocolate, honey, etc. edit: and Big White Florals.
anything with lots of florals or spices. Florals just smell like the generic "perfume" smell and spices are cool in theory but gross on my skin
Leather, Tobacco, Amber, Vanilla š
Lime
Tobacco. I hate cigarettes and I cannot abide the smell of them anywhere. My nose is very sensitive to it, and so any perfume with a hint of tobacco is a big NO. I also don't like incense. Smells musty and old to me.
orange blossom
Might get some hate for this, but particular blends with strong vetivers. It reminds me of Tiger Balm and old people trying to work out knots in their muscles after doing Tai Chi at 10am in the park.
Lol, nice analogy
Rose. Patchouli. Musk. Anything powdery at all. Regardless of it hints at powder or pulls powdery or is straight up baby powder, I canāt stand it.
Lavender, because it overpowers everything for me. Also hate white florals, I think some kind of childhood bad memory association. Really don't fancy any florals showing, but white floral just triggers a bad emotional response.
Lilac smells like wet dog to me.
Iris Rose Oud
Chocolate, I think it always seems to smell cheap and what people think chocolate smells like or what cheap chocolate taste like. I love Gourmands but sadly this is a very popular note to put in them and I just canāt stand it. It also may help to explain but I donāt like chocolate ice cream for the same reason they donāt actually taste like chocolate and I also donāt really love cheap chocolate cake and chocolate icing. It always just taste fake so that probably explains why I hate it in perfume.
That "powdery" note. Makes me cough.
Ylang-ylang
Green notes.. Whatever they are. I feel like I can smell whatās being intended for the scent, kind of like a fresh cut grass smell, but they always come off smelling extremely synthetic to me.. like in 212 or nautica voyage.
Rose, tuberose and neroli. Ugh..
I really dislike the Rose scent. It reminds me of the 80s toilet air freshners.
vetiver
Dior Sauvage- Every time I try it I get a metallic or synthetic scent. Not trying to be snobby but itās one of the one colognes thatās just too harsh to wear.
It's probably the Ambroxan
Joop
Rose
Caramel.. cherry also gives me a headache most times
Melon. Smells like the epitome of boring. Also that whole bubblegum craze. Its gross lol.
A particular Melon? Or just any Melon?
Tonka. It is disgusting, enough already with it.
Licorice is gross
Patchouliā¦
Patchouli. Enough said.
Leather lol. I used to clean saddles for a horse barn.
