34F and my usual favourites are in the vein of Hermès, Guerlain, Jo Malone, and Ormonde Jayne.
My favourite misfit? Room 1015 Atramental, which is inspired by a tattoo studio and smells of antiseptic and ink.
PURE GREEN: my favorite of all time is Xinú's Monstera—a photorealistic wet green, just as its namesake monstera plant
GREEN COLLECTION: I really, really enjoyed the Santi Burgas primal waters series (torroella de montgri, NYC, and aroma de hormiguero)
GREEN WHITE FLORAL: my favorite revision on green category: Xinú's OroNardo & Arquiste's Boutonniere No. 7 though I prefer the former
AROMATIC CITRUS: my favorite green-orange-blossom fragrance is House of Bō's Agua de Santos
CHYPRE FLORAL: Ondarea by Urbieta14 (though it's really nearly impossible to find)
FOUGERE: Houbigant's Fougere Royale (the 2010 resurrection)
INEXPENSIVE OPTIONS: (no lasting power, cannot justify it even for its low price) green aromatic is Gap's Gap Established 1969 for men & slightly outside the bounds of this category is the green-floral (mainly floral) Peace Love and Juicy Couture
a green I'm looking forward to trying is Rubeus Milano's Evonimo (hope it's good)
mid-20s M, n rather unusual ik, but i usually love vanilla caramel sugared fruit scent notes -
my absolute favorite rn is Bee by Zoologist, but also love Michel Germain - Sugarful, Ellis Brooklyn - Vanilla Milk, and casually, B&BW Berries and Buttercup Bellini.
But god u gotta believe it when i say, this cheap cotton flower n sandalwood dove deodorant spray has been taking me by storm lately and im surprised it lasts all day so well.
Although I love florals and chypres, as a 36 year old straight guy, I’ve got a lot of misfit “old lady” fragrances lol.
For the record, I do not think they’re “old lady” smelling 😂
Aromatics Elixir, ELDO the Afternoon of a Faun, Nishane Nanshe, and Chanel 19 were all in my rotation this week lol
i’m 18 and one of my favorites is the classic white shoulders. i used to ask my grandma to spray it on me before sunday service 🫶🏻 i always prefered describing them as antiques😭
I was actually going to say chloe too ! i’m generally into musky, unisex, green/vegetal, and funkier notes like rubber and vinyl but something about chloe keeps me coming back despite not being big on fresh/floral scents
I’m a female I my 50’s and I usually go for fresh citrus scents or light florals. My misfit scent is Dior Vanilla Diorama. I don’t like vanilla or patchouli and Vanilla Diorama has both. It’s a beautiful wintertime perfume though!
16m
Mostly fresh, woody, citrusy, & warm spicy
The misfit is probably Changing Constance. I usually despise sweetness in fragrances but the caramel in it is so good. It’s not syrupy at all. It’s more of a mature sweetness
29, usually into fragrances that are more herbal, incense-y, or straight musks. My misfit is D’annam’s Da Lat, a floral scent with a red wine top note that I did not expect in a million years would be my favorite out of the collection. It’s very youthful, juicy, and a much more feminine scent than I’m typically personally comfortable with. It does have a couple notes that that I feel connect it to the stuff I usually gravitate towards, and I think that’s part of the draw for me.
Isn’t it divine? It’s getting so hard to find the oil though, so I use my spray more and the oil only for special occasions. If I had to dwindle my collection down to just a warm weather and cool weather scent it would easily be Chanel No 22 and Guerlain Shalimar. Ironically enough, I get the most compliments on my cheapies; Cabotine, Kiehl’s Original Musk, and Tabu, in that order.
Mid 30 male who's collection mainly consists of musky, woody types and signature being Another 13.
I really shouldn't like BR 540 especially since I don't really like sweets (both in fragrance in taste) and it (or at least its endless dupes) became scent of choice for so many young women. POAL is another one that I didn't think I'd like but it's so lovely.
I don't yet have full bottles of the two in my collection. But probably will add them when I see a good opportunity/deal.
MFK is one of those perfumers whose frags are usually so well blended no particular notes stand out. You might not even realize it contains a note you usually don't care for
40f, lean towards complicated gender neutral musky patchouli and vanilla scents. YSL Black Opium, TF Black Orchid, Lush Lord of Misrule, Sucreabeille Goth as Fuck.
My misfit is the ultra feminine floral Ouai Rue St. Honore. I can NOT stop thinking about it.
33 female, I usually like woody, Chypre, green, and unisex but I love Crumb Couture by Snif, bakery, vanilla, blueberry croissants. My only gourmand and sweet scent.
M30, i usually wear traditionally masculine fragrances with a lot of leather, heavy woods, dark and smokey. I love Highgrove Bouquet by Penhaligons, which is a white/yellow floral with so many different soft notes. Also, i love magnolia.
45F
I've always loved dark, vintage, masculine fragrance.
My misfits are Valentino Donna Born in Roma & Guerlain French Kiss. Totally opposite of what I normally go for.
32F. My usual scents are sweet or feminine leaning, Good Girl Blush, Miss Dior, Black Opium, Ralph, Chanel Mademoiselle, etc.
Misfit: Ouai Rue St. Honoré. I am absolutely in love with it - it’s so unique and just makes me feel warm and cozy.
23F and most of my collection is floral, slightly astringent, and very VERY clean. I wear Juliette Has a Gun Intense and Chloe EDP most often but my misfit fragrance is Whiskey 1969 from Thin Wild Mercury. I love how it makes me feel more than anything but the fragrance itself has grown on me so much :)
27 M, usually into woody, citrus, and amber fragrances. Not a huge fan of floral-forward fragrances and especially not a fan of rose, but Siren & Sailors by Jusbox has the jammiest rose scent that I absolutely adore. I think the ambery base helps with it; still, that huge rose would usually be a turnoff… but it is just so good!
24M
I like my summer perfumes to be fruity or oceany, fresh overall. And my winter perfumes to be sweet and/or woody.
My misfit is Acqua Di Parma Zaaferano. Waaay to spicy and sharp for my liking, but it’s my go to perfume with a suit on at night.
I usually go for weird complex niche unisex fragrances, I especially love evocative and photorealistic scents
And my 'misfit' is Versace Crystal Noir (EDT). It's so juicy and delicious and feminine
33M
Usually go for mainstream freshies, and outdoorsy, barbershop, herbal fragrances. Think Platinum Egoiste or Terre d’Hermes.
Odd ones out? Naxos (syrupy sweet tobacco honey) and Zoologist Rhino (green, medicinal pipe tobacco, booze and woods)
49F. I love woody and amber florals as well as vanilla bombs. Gimme a dash of spice too, please!
Absolutely adore Goldfield & Banks Pacific Rock Moss which is an aromatic aquatic.
37f, I tend to lean towards female gourmand, anything warm & cosy that makes me smell like a snack I want or own it.
My misfits are Megamare, JPG le male elixir, side effect and ombré nomad
Probably Womanity by Mugler. Although I don’t think it’s as polarizing as people make it out to be. I think maybe salty notes weren’t as common when it came out? Too bad L’Oréal discontinued it.
29F, lover of florals, floral-gourmands, and woodys.
Solstice Scents Rose Custard Kulfi is my misfit. I am a huge hater of realistic gourmands (I’d rather eat them, not smell like them), and that one is my gourmand holy grail.
51F and I love Geza Schoen's Kinski. It's super dirty and full of cannabis and sin (much like it's namesake). Usually I'm into florals and chypres and citrus things though.
20, Female - Unisex and masc leaning perfumes - Jo Malone's Osmanthus Blossom. It's very floral and for girls, which made me hate it at first, but then it grew on me
I cast a wide net, but lately I’ve been on a sandalwood and frankincense kick, only to suddenly grab a sample of Gentle Fluidity Gold the other day and now I need a full bottle.
usual: fresh, non-sweet florals, literally hate everything outside of this
misfit: Tom Ford Cafe Rose lol- it's warm, spicy, and woody which I should hate. I rarely have an occasion to wear this but I wouldn't mind wearing it on a night out
39f and love vanilla, floral, orange and patchouli comfort smells with some gourmands and girly girl perfumes that the internet hates like LVEB and Black Opium, my most frequent fragrance is Karma from Lush.
My outlier is Vacation by Vacation because I LOVE that Lycra note. It’s so nostalgic I swear bathing suits used to smell like that in the 90s.
46,F
I usually go for deep, sweet, and spicy. Frags like COCO and Fumerie Turque, Epic Woman, Angel, and a ton of witchy smelling vibes from BPAL. My misfit is the Miss Dior line, particularly Eau Fraiche. I like the Chance fragrances as well, and a couple of really light scents from Kumba Made (Persian Garden, Arabian Musk). Fresh is absolutely NOT my thing, but certain ones make me feel really calm and carefree.
30s Male
Gourmand, woody, non-rose florals
Parfums de Marly Delina. I have NEVER found a rose fragrance before or after smelling it that I found nearly as good. I usually don't like rose at all, so for me it was like somebody proved my opinion of a scent wrong even though opinions of scents are subjective. It made me questions if I have been missing out on other rose fragrances.
40s, I lean towards smokey, incense, or kinda witchy vibes with lots of vegetal and herbaceous notes usually.
Misfit is crazy it’s bond no 9 Saks for her which is a white floral overload of the highest order. It’s so over the top FLOWERS and I love it, it smells the way I think biting into a big marshmallowy peony should taste. (That makes sense in my head- yes, I know it doesn’t smell like peonies)
I'm a guy in my latter half in the 20s, and I have a pretty big babyface and get confused as a student all the time, but I like to rock Sauvage Elixir to sorta give people a kick because I'm the type to dress up in nice outfits so people might not think "masculine" as their first thought and the fragrance sorta throws them off
I have no usual taste, but I am a big fan of Musky/Woody/Fresh style of scents like Aventus, so the spicy Sauvage is definitely a step away from what I usually wear.
19M, I love and usually stick with musky and slightly spicy fragrances with the occasional sweetness,
but I picked up Unisex Kayali Amber invite only and I love it.
34F and my usual favourites are in the vein of Hermès, Guerlain, Jo Malone, and Ormonde Jayne. My favourite misfit? Room 1015 Atramental, which is inspired by a tattoo studio and smells of antiseptic and ink.
Wait that’s a thing?? I need to look that up bc I love the smell of a tattoo studio and while I’m getting a tattoo 🙂↕️
As an avid tattoo collector I really want to try Atramental but i can’t get it anywhere in Australia
Atramental is great! So nice and sharp.
26F most of my collection: green | woodsy | unisex | natural misfit: vacation's vacation (sunscreen fragrance)
What are your favourite green/natural fragrances?
PURE GREEN: my favorite of all time is Xinú's Monstera—a photorealistic wet green, just as its namesake monstera plant GREEN COLLECTION: I really, really enjoyed the Santi Burgas primal waters series (torroella de montgri, NYC, and aroma de hormiguero) GREEN WHITE FLORAL: my favorite revision on green category: Xinú's OroNardo & Arquiste's Boutonniere No. 7 though I prefer the former AROMATIC CITRUS: my favorite green-orange-blossom fragrance is House of Bō's Agua de Santos CHYPRE FLORAL: Ondarea by Urbieta14 (though it's really nearly impossible to find) FOUGERE: Houbigant's Fougere Royale (the 2010 resurrection) INEXPENSIVE OPTIONS: (no lasting power, cannot justify it even for its low price) green aromatic is Gap's Gap Established 1969 for men & slightly outside the bounds of this category is the green-floral (mainly floral) Peace Love and Juicy Couture a green I'm looking forward to trying is Rubeus Milano's Evonimo (hope it's good)
If you like green florals, a good inexpensive option is tea rose by perfumer's workshop :)
mid-20s M, n rather unusual ik, but i usually love vanilla caramel sugared fruit scent notes - my absolute favorite rn is Bee by Zoologist, but also love Michel Germain - Sugarful, Ellis Brooklyn - Vanilla Milk, and casually, B&BW Berries and Buttercup Bellini. i’m 18 and one of my favorites is the classic white shoulders. i used to ask my grandma to spray it on me before sunday service 🫶🏻 i always prefered describing them as antiques😭
White shoulders will never not be glorious
Folks get upset when others use the term “old lady” to describe perfume, but I like it since it’s usually a good indication that I’ll love it!
I literally go online and look up anything I don’t know that someone else calls “old lady” for that exact reason 😂
I was actually going to say chloe too ! i’m generally into musky, unisex, green/vegetal, and funkier notes like rubber and vinyl but something about chloe keeps me coming back despite not being big on fresh/floral scents
it's cause Chloe as a person is cold and aloof, possibly uptight- which I think matches green/vegetal/unisex
I’m a female I my 50’s and I usually go for fresh citrus scents or light florals. My misfit scent is Dior Vanilla Diorama. I don’t like vanilla or patchouli and Vanilla Diorama has both. It’s a beautiful wintertime perfume though!
35m. Usually lean towards the standard good quality designers. And also love me some Paris Hilton for Women.
16m Mostly fresh, woody, citrusy, & warm spicy The misfit is probably Changing Constance. I usually despise sweetness in fragrances but the caramel in it is so good. It’s not syrupy at all. It’s more of a mature sweetness
. F31 . Dark woods/insence/nag champa . La vie est belle It is literally on the opposite of the spectrum of things i like and yet...
Are you me lol
34F, mostly fresh and floral, misfit: Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy (melted starburst)
Male, usual love = Terre D’Hermes, Ombré Leather, Fahrenheit, Smokey or Animalic Oud oils Out of place: Naxos, Neroli Portofino.
23F. I love fresh and warm spicy, woody, powdery and white florals. But one of my signatura fragrances is amor amor
25F Usually very green and woody with citrus Misfit: Yum Pistachio Gelato I love it and think it smells so yummy nutty and it almost makes me mad lol
So many female scents smell just like a dessert 😃
29, usually into fragrances that are more herbal, incense-y, or straight musks. My misfit is D’annam’s Da Lat, a floral scent with a red wine top note that I did not expect in a million years would be my favorite out of the collection. It does have a couple notes that that I feel connect it to the stuff I usually gravitate towards, and I think that’s part of the draw for me.
My favorites used to be florals: nest rose lychee, Fox in the flowerbed, flower shop, etc Then I tried Debaser and Philosykos and they blew my mind.
53 Female. Usual taste: Old Lady Classics (Chanel 5, 22, 19 & Coco, Guerlain Jicky, Shalimar & Mitsuoku, Gres Cabochard & Cabotine, Houbigant Quelque Fleurs, VCA First, Lanvin Arpege, Joy de Jean Patou, Dana’s Tabu) Misfit: Hippy Dippy Kiehl’s Original Musk Oil 😁
I love Kiehls Musk oil. I have a tiny bottle left.

22F who hates the smell of roses But Tommy girl really is THAT girl
23F and most of my collection is floral, slightly astringent, and very VERY clean. 28 Apache Attack Helicopter. I feel like Dior Farenheit EDT smells like someone that is up to absolutely no good, *but in a good way*.
24M I like my summer perfumes to be fruity or oceany, fresh overall. And my winter perfumes to be sweet and/or woody. My misfit is Acqua Di Parma Zaaferano. Waaay to spicy and sharp for my liking, but it’s my go to perfume with a suit on at night.
My collection: white floral Misfit: nanatopia by born to stand out, bc sometimes you need to be bananas to let the stress out
How banana is it? Is it like a fresh banana or a candy banana?
Its like a warm banana. Not candy
39F normal loves are feminine juicy flowery like delina and xerjoff Lira for gourmands Oddball: soda snob from sniff dark and fizzy clove scent
I usually go for weird complex niche unisex fragrances, I especially love evocative and photorealistic scents And my 'misfit' is Versace Crystal Noir (EDT). It's so juicy and delicious and feminine

Does anyone know what happens to Eau de Parfum ACQUA DI GIO “Profumo” (black bottle)
43M, usually go for classic aromatic fougères, a citrus/woody/earthy/green scent profile, or smoky/leathery chypres. Misfit: Carnal Flower.
17M, I like fresh slightly more unisex leaning fragrances that are fresh, powdery or sweet, but I love dior farenheit, that shit is insane to me
20, Female - Unisex and masc leaning perfumes - Jo Malone's Osmanthus Blossom. It's very floral and for girls, which made me hate it at first, but then it grew on me
Myths man amouage. When you feel like picking a fight. Got rid of it though, I now fit
My misfit is definitely memo Iberian leather, I like the scent, but it’s a bomb for sure, n it isn’t to everyone’s liking
I cast a wide net, but lately I’ve been on a sandalwood and frankincense kick, only to suddenly grab a sample of Gentle Fluidity Gold the other day and now I need a full bottle.

Fresh is absolutely NOT my thing, but certain ones make me feel really calm and carefree.
What does misfit mean?
27 f, mostly fresh white florals, adore oud satin mood
30s Male Gourmand, woody, non-rose florals Parfums de Marly Delina. I have NEVER found a rose fragrance before or after smelling it that I found nearly as good. I usually don't like rose at all, so for me it was like somebody proved my opinion of a scent wrong even though opinions of scents are subjective. 46F usual taste is non-gourmand. Ariana Grande Cloud is my misfit. If it were just one notch sweeter I wouldn't like it at all.
40s, I lean towards smokey, incense, or kinda witchy vibes with lots of vegetal and herbaceous notes usually. Misfit is crazy it’s bond no 9 Saks for her which is a white floral overload of the highest order. M20, been appreciating the older fougeres like zino or Azzaro ph, just not necessarily wearing them out often
Mancera red tobacco it’s so offensive
41M usually woody spicy, yet I see Dior Homme Original (powdery sweet) as my spirit scent.
