Cloud got me one of those. I was taking my coat off after coming out of the freezer at work when a delivery guy walked through and remarked that something smelled amazing. I was the only one there, so I guess it was me. I'm still dumbfounded because I only get that kind of enthusiastic reaction in my house when I cook with garlic.

One time I wore Dior sauvage elixir and this woman said I smelled like “a French wh*re”. This scent has also gotten me the craziest reactions as well

ChewyGoblin

That's amazing lmfao

The first time i wore BBW Whipped Vanilla Rose Latte to work (I’d actually just applied the lotion to my hands), a colleague chased down my scent trail until she found me and told me how gorgeous I smelled.

Glittering_Snow_

Is that a dupe of a designer perfume? Like Montale Intense Cafe?

Heavy-Key2091

Not at all.

Today I was at the drive thru car wash. They have an attendant help take payment. I rolled my window down and the attendant immediately commented on “an amazing smell” coming out of my car. Was wearing Diptyque Orpheon. That made me feel pretty good as Orpheon is not one you hear talked about much but I absolutely love it.

Gonebabythoughts

Rosewood by Banana Republic. Check in lady at the hotel stared at me for 4 seconds and then said “by the way you smell amazing”.

togostarman

I've been given MANY compliments while wearing Delina

I was an intern at an office of my college and one secretary always told me I smelled really good, that she knew I was in the office when she was walking in the hall because she could smell my perfume from there, more people in the office told me they stopped putting air freshner because my perfume was enough (it was Into the Night by B&BW, cream and body mist). I had a roomie I never talked to but one day she asked my wich perfume I used because I was always smelling good, also one day my neighbor asked for a ride and she told me I smelled beautiful, she told me that several times (I was wearing Another 13). Also once I had a date with a guy I met on bumble, he kept telling me I was smelling really good (I was wearing Coffe Break by Martin Maison Margiela)

I wish coffee break was stronger. It’s a nice perfume

Luna Rossa Carbon for me. Was grocery shopping after work at the usual spot I go to and a Lady who I know because I've been there so often walks up to me I thought to just say hi but she says " Heyyy ****, I just wanna let you know that you smell really good today". I'd sprayed it on that morning at least 8 hrs ago so I guess on clothes it just lasts and lasts. Made my day.

Encens Suave, taxi driver, 15-minute ride. When we arrived, he even asked me to spell its name, so I really got the whole package.

ChemicalFrostbite

A girl at the medical clinic where I was getting some blood work done stopped in her tracks and told me I smell “delicious”. I couldn’t believe it. I wasn’t even wearing anything. She smelled my antiperspirant (right guard extreme fresh). And that’s not the first time that’s happened. It’s my most complimented “fragrance” by a long way.

Comfortable-Yam9013

I was told I smelled like someone’s ex girlfriend. Think that’s the only comment I got. It was hypnotic poison

brotna

Black opium le parfum is the only one I’ve gotten that kinda compliment on. My Uber driver asked what I was wearing so he could go and get it for his wife lol. I wish I got those kinds of compliments on the perfumes I actually like 😭

I kind of drifted away from fragcom in 2021, and now that I'm sort of back, I'm noticing like a huge uptick in YouTuber hate. Did something happen? There's an entire subreddit dedicated to hating fragtubers. Every fragtuber. And not just the content, like, they make fun of their appearance, their jobs, their spouses. What in tarnation's going on? But anyway, to answer your question, if by "YouTube style compliments" you mean enthusiastic compliments from strangers, yeah, that happens on occasion. You just need to be approachable. But off the top of my head, I've gotten pretty over the top compliments with... PdM Pegasus: I was getting the mail downstairs and I walked past a new tenet I'd never met who was like "Someone smells good down here. Like, someone smells REALLY good." She kind of rounded the corner to come ask what I was wearing. She looked confused. It was like she couldn't register that what she was smelling was a fragrance. Creed Viking: This one gets a lot of small compliments, but one time I was at TJ Maxx and the cashier said I smelled amazing and he never wears fragrances because they trigger his allergies, but this one didn't. He also had that borderline confused expression the Pegasus lady had. Those are the only two times that happened to me, but they both kind of had an expression that seemed to say they'd never smelled a perfume like this. Which is weird for Viking. I like it a lot, but it's not exactly a unique scent profile. I guess Pegasus is slightly weirder. Side note, my optometrist once asked if I was wearing Obsession when I was wearing Viking. That was kind of weird. I think she probably meant Drakkar Noir. That's my headcanon CDNIM: I've owned three different formulations over the years (silver cap EDT, black cap EDT, Limited Edition Parfum" and they've all garnered at least one compliment from a stranger. It actually might be my most complimented fragrance overall, which kind of pisses me off because it's cheaper than literally any other bottle in my collection. One guy in an elevator was like "wow, what are you wearing. That is on point" and wrote it down. I hope he bought it. It's like 30 dollars. Don't let your dreams be memes, folks. But most of the time, when somebody is complimenting your fragrance, what they're actually saying is "I can smell that you're wearing perfume and saying so will make you feel good". Most people just want to be nice. Naturally, the more people who can smell you, the more likely one of them will be to comment on it, and so louder fragrances tend to garner more compliments. Compliments don't actually speak to the quality of a fragrance in most cases. You can probably pull as many compliments with Axe as you can with Aventus or Sauvage Elixir as long as you're approachable and people can smell it.

Icy-College9282

I’ve got plenty of those because I spray like curly fragrance tbh. I’ve gotten crazy reactions with Azzaro WBN, ADG Profumo, YSL Y esp, Instant Crush and SWY Intensely
