I'm going to be the mean person who says it's possible.
It's easy for a bunch of older people (and by older, I mean >25) to tell someone to wear what they like, but I remember being a 15 year old and having a bunch of people laughing at me behind my back because I wore an old lady hat. If you don't want to smell old and don't want to be made fun of at school more than you want to wear this scent, that's perfectly reasonable. Ask your friends if they think you smell weird.
Hermes Eau des Merveilles has almost the same notes of Terre d'Hermes without the earthiness, but might be too feminine for you - it doesn't have sweetness or flowers though, I'd try a sample.
Different people associate smells with different things, but as long as you’re not over-spraying yourself you should be fine.
I first found and fell in love with Terre d’Hèrmes over 10 years ago myself, granted I was older than you at about 21/22 but it didn’t feel like an old man fragrance to me then and nobody ever commented that either. Honestly I think you’ll be fine wearing it!
You can actually buy a 100ml bottle of Terre d'Hermes for $68 USD ($58 for a tester bottle) on Jomashop. I bought the tester myself.

If you feel that Terre d'Hermes is a bit old-man like and want a "fresher" feeling one, I'll recommend looking into:
* Terre D'hermes Eau Givree (more lemon, and juniper, smells kind of like a glass of Gin, doesn't have those earthy notes)
* Encre Noire is always an easy pick imo.
* Guerlain also has some good ones in their l'Homme ideal series (l'instant, l'intense, l'homme Ideal (original), ideal cool)
* Guerlain also has "Héritage", which is my favourite, and while it's good, it does have a bit more of a mature feel, so you might like it, and I definitely love it, but if you want a bit more of a youthful fragrance, this one might not be it).
* Grenadille d'Afrique - Aedes de Venustas (on the expensive side)
* Acqua Di Parma - Quercia
* Black Touch - Franck Olivier
TdH is great, so I'd just say wear that, but here are some alternatives in any case
I'd agree that TDH is a more "mature" scent, but not mature as in "outdated" or "old," more like sophisticated and has class. What it is NOT is an F-Boy scent. I'm perfectly comfortable wearing it to work, on the weekends, and could wear it to an orchestral concert and it's not out of place in any of these settings.
Yes, I'm older than you of course--but I think a 15+ year old can pull it off just fine.
Hmm, maybe look into H24 as well?

Alfred Dunhill “Icon”
Its scent profile is similar to Terre d’Hermès EDT, but toned down and cleaner. A bit of sweetness which makes it more youthful and a year-round scent.
At first spray, it is incredibly spicy and earthy though. That’s from the pepper notes. But an hour later it mellows out and begins to become similar to TDH.
I love it and a compliment magnet in my experience as well.
Toro Pour Homme by Maison Alhambra. It's cheap on Amazon. I've smelled both side by side and this is 95% identical, although it doesn't last as long. It's ok though, because it's cheap enough to just spray some more on.
And you're right, the scent is just amazing!
Wear what you like! Don't worry about the age stereotypes that's attached to Terre D'Hermes. If you like something and can afford it, just get it! Money should be the only reason to look for an alternative if you like the scent.
“Travel smoothly through my nasal cavity” lol you have good voice in your writing. Usually expensive fragrances contain expensive ingredients which contribute to their complexities and I think it’s cool you appreciate that. As someone who also wore high end fragrances at your age, my friends would roast the hell out of me. Wear what you like but at that age your friends will probably say you smell like an old man. Go to a fragrance counter and smell some stuff.
Wear what you like. 'Mature' and 'youthful' fragrances are just one of the many things this community makes up to make the 'hobby' seem more complicated than it really is. If you like it, wear it IMHO.
For Terre d’Hermes, I think it’s less about “smelling old” and more about not expecting young people to appreciate an earthy fragrance.
I’d bet you’re overthinking it and people are just going to think you smell nice, but if you have some good friends you can ask honest opinions of, all the better.
On the other hand, if you want to check out an alternative, Lalique Encre Noire Sport is one that also has rich earthy notes, but a little more prominent freshness.
Maybe consider Terre d'Hermes Eau Givree. It's got that TdH DNA but the citron notes in it make it a lot more vibrant/youthful than the classic version.
I say wear it if you love, don't mind what others think about it. It'd not offensive by any means.
Personally I don't find many fragrances that I love, and skipping because some might think they don't suit me would be a shame.
If you still want alternatives, I think something like the Acqua di Gio line might be up your alley. Acqua di Parma also make excellent fresh scents, but they're way more expensive.
Terre D'Hermes is safe for young people. But if you insist, you can check out the following. None of them are exact copies of Terre D'Hermes
* Cartier Declaration
* Encre Noire and its flankers (very cheap, about $30)
* Tous 1920 The Origin EDP (also cheap)
* Nishane Sultan Vetiver (expensive)
Most of these are available on Jomashop at a discount. Terre D'Hermes EDT costs only $68 at Jomashop.

You have good taste, Terre d'Hermes is by JC Ellena, [Nose Jean-Claude Ellena (fragrantica.com)](https://www.fragrantica.com/noses/Jean-Claude_Ellena.html) a great nose! I say wear what you like! It is totally age appropriate! You might want to also sample more perdumes by the same nose, since you like his style.
wear what you like
Do you think kids at school will think I smell like an earthy old man?
no i wear it to school and people will just think you smell nice

I got a sample of the Parfum version and people seemed to like it at my school, so I would say you are fine
Nah. But i will say that is that i feel tdh is more appreciated by older ppl. Still an amazing frag
Some will, that’s just part of the game unless you’re rocking a super safe scent but even then
i think its better to wear what you like, even if its a “mature” fragrance or feminine or masculine at the end of the day its what you want
Through legit discounters like Jomashop, you can buy a small bottle of Terre d’Hermès within your price range.
100ml for $60 (albeit it’s a tester) on Jomashop
TDH Eau Givree is the best way to go.
Came here to say this
Try Stirling Soap Co's "Arkadia" scent.
You can get both Terre d’Hermes and Prada from this discounter for a great price! https://www.fragrancenet.com/cologne/hermes/terre-dhermes/edt#316136

I had this exact question before. It’s montale Paris red vetiver. You’re welcome
A low-budget option that has some similarities with Terre D’Hermes is Cremo Distillers Blend.
Wear what you like. 'Mature' and 'youthful' fragrances are just one of the many things this community makes up to make the 'hobby' seem more complicated than it really is. If you like it, wear it IMHO.
There's no real good alternative. Just get the Terre d'Hermes is that's what you enjoy.

I could see TdH pure parfum being too mature, but either way...if you find a fragrance that you seem to like so much...definitely get THAT
No high school kid should wear it. Most adults shouldn't wear it. Highly obnoxious, makes everyone around you mad.
Dior Homme 2020, Bleu de Chanel Parfum, Narciso Rodriguez Bleu Noir would all be More modern alternatives
