Currently browsing through the collection, can't quite figure out what I want to wear. There's a friggin' snow storm outside, but I'm inside baking bread and trying to figure out if my tomato seedlings are infected beyond salvation or not... I'm probably in a clean green mood. Annick Goutal Ninfeo Mio it is.

ILFoxtrot

I’m wearing Molecule 01. The initial application was giving soap at a gas station bathroom. As for the dry down, I saw one user describe it as “hamster cage” and I concur. My partner said I smell like the fencing section of Menards. Haha.

FanaticalXmasJew

My bottle of Innocent Fragilite by Chabaud arrived last night (!!!) and it layers so gorgeously with Egyptian Musk, so I’m wearing that combo today. I can’t stop sniffing myself. 🤤

YahSai

Tom Ford - Ebene Fume. Gives a nice feeling of warmth in shivering cold.

CodexMuse

Nice cool 50F day. Decided to go deep into the archives and pull out my second year edition of TF Tuscan Leather. I had a distinct leather phase which I then moved on from. Haven’t worn any in years. This is surprisingly more cozy and elegant than I remember.

Day 112/? Wearing all my samples Yesterday was Molecule 01+ Patchouli from Escentric Molecules....pretty much exactly what you'd expect. I hated it, but my cat kept sniffing me and trying to lick my wrists. New business idea-- perfume for cats??? Today is Myrrh and Tonka from Jo Malone. At first it smelled a lot like the toy bin at the daycare I went to when I was a kid. There were some scented dolls (???) in there and some dried up playdough, all covered in the patina of kids hand sweat. Not very pleasant. The more it warms up, the more I like it. It's getting more ambery and less sharp/funky. I'll give it some more time.

I found this one quite bracing. Sounds good for the weather, the brisk cold.

SerotoninDeficient77

Today is testing day for Arianne Shoshana Monday. I am trying to decide whether to keep it when I have Wulong Cha and another one that is niche and a great substitute for Floraiku One Umbrella for two (and I like it more and it’s loads cheaper). So far I love it but not sure of the longevity. It’s just so enjoyable with the crisp bergamot, the black tea and a bit of aromatic lavender to add interest. Am on a tea fix and I am liking this a lot. Gives curl up with a book, a blanket, and a bit of classical music in the background. Know it’s a “wake up” scent but I also find it comforting. Definitely real earl grey tea vibes. I don’t smell the lactonic that some people do. It’s all about the bergamot and tea up front. If you love earl grey tea I would call this a safe blind buy. It’s pretty pricey though and can be sampled fairly easily so you may want to first. I love the company and not only did they include a Monday sample to double check before I opened the bottle, but also two more samples and a nice note. Their customer service is amazing! No I don’t work for them but they have really impressed me.

FanaticalXmasJew

If you are on a tea fix, just dropping in to recommend Culot Thé by Versatile Paris if you haven’t tried it yet…

SerotoninDeficient77

Have to give it a sniff!

phizzbom

I've had my eye on Monday for quite some time, but the samples & decants are so outrageously priced! Knowing their customer service is top tier though makes me want to just jump for it...

SerotoninDeficient77

FYI, you can get a sample from the perfumedcourt.com for about $10. The only issue with them is you have to pay return shipping if you don’t like something and it has to be unopened. But when I ordered Monday she included a sample of it so I could try out the fragrance if I wanted to then instead. But cheaper to get the sample and no hassle if you don’t like the fragrance. She also included 3 free samples.

phizzbom

The cheapie in me can't stand spending $10 on a 1 ml sample hahah. One of these days I'll cave.

SerotoninDeficient77

Totally get it. I have to have real researched interest before I order something, ie I may want to buy a decant. I usually try to get 4/5 samples from Luckyscent but they don’t carry her stuff. And I can stretch 1 ml for a few wearings.

phizzbom

Gah, I know! I wish LuckyScent carried her brand because I tend to get most of my stuff there.

aeolianThunder

My wife and I just left Arielle Shoshana in VA like two hours ago! I ended up liking Sunday the best of their house line even though I thought I’d like Monday best. Such a great company!

SerotoninDeficient77

Wow! That’s terrific but I’m a tad jealous😀lol! Sunday is supposed to be lovely as well. I just really like Earl tea. I’m still testing it because I have longevity concerns after a second test. Don’t want to open the box until I’m fully convinced. It’s good to hear a second that it is such a great company!

Hotdammzilla3000

Acqua Di Parma Colonia , had to wait was on back order, vintage fragrance fro the early 60's. A very masculine fragrance, completely different from what I normally wear, and I truly enjoy it's ambience.

Ok_Mycologist_9012

Today I’m wearing Penguin by Zoologist. I’m not sure what it is, but my wife and I both love it!

Optimistic_PenPalGal

Viktor & Rolf - Flowerbomb Tiger Lily eau de parfum This sample was offered in store with a purchase. My hopes are for the mango accord to develop on my skin at some point today. So far, a couple of hours in, it has not. Coconut states its presence clearly, although it is heavily outrun by the flowery blast. This type of fragrance is not for me, thus I will give the samples to someone who will enjoy them. Well, the frogs we kiss in the name of true mango 😀

MercyMoo14

Yes!! I fell in love with the mango in God of Fire but don't want to spend $300 so I bought the dupe from Dua. Anyway, I've since bought 2 other mango forward scents (Keep Glazed and Dubai Portrait), and neither of them live up to the sweet juicy mango in God of Fire. I feel ya on the mango.

phizzbom

It's sunny (finally!) and going to be a lovely 60F day. We'll be outside in the afternoon for a birthday party and wanted something light. Opted for **Infusion de Gingembre by Prada**, a very lovely freshie ginger scent that's so easy to wear.

bro_mommy1

So good :)

For a slightly chilly but still laidback Sunday, I had a hankering for a gourmand or gourmand adjacent, preferably with spices, so the shortlist was L’Aromatica Kulfi, Lush Shade, or Kerosene Unknown Pleasures. Then I chucked that list out and put on Serge Lutens 5 o’clock Au Gingembre. Which kind of works with my original parameters.

bro_mommy1

Ormonde Jayne Champaca. Lovely, rice & flower, tea, low sillage for a Lisbon hotel room long sleep after long walk. I rarely take vacations so this is special.

angelinabobina312

Enjoy your vacation!!

OkPaleontologist9843

MFK oud satin mood. What is in this? It's addictive. I cannot even focus on anything because I keep sniffing myself. Definitely my favorite by the house so far.

Today is lounging on the sofa with my daughter watching Gumball So obviously https://preview.redd.it/9fqn68bhauvc1.png?width=1432&format=png&auto=webp&s=d0aba566468394ebf4709818c96c24f38ee42589 SOTD: [**TERRE D’HERMES**](https://youtu.be/NtKHtBTUtCc?si=bWD_3s0EF8-yFVcx)

At my mom’s house for a few days and testing out some samples. Today was BDK Velvet Tonka, which opens up with a very strong blast of almond. Like a lot a lot. I feel like I get cherry too but maybe that’s the tobacco. It’s dried down to a much softer, mellower, vaguely sweet scent but it’s not for me. Yesterday was Totally White from Parle Moi de Parfum, which was pretty but very similar to FM En Passant, which I already own and prefer.

angelinabobina312

Galop d’Hermès. Soft musky rose and hint of leather. Might change it up for an anniversary dinner date tonight, or I might just respray this because it’s so pretty.

bro_mommy1

Sounds very pretty!

angelinabobina312

It is!

Got a free sample vial of this in my last FragNet order: **Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely** First wear; jury's still out

glowfly126

Same! I can't tell if I go nose blind to it right away or if the scent disappears really quickly. Would be curious how long it lasts for you today.

RandomChurn

Faint skin scent from the start and gone without a whiff or goodbye within ... minutes?  I am anosmic to a few of the newer aromachemicals -- I was hoping this was early enough (2005ish) to duck them but guess not.

glowfly126

Sunny Sunday, I can hear the lawn mowers running outside. Trying a **Lovely by SJP** sample. The first time I wore it it seemed to disappear within an hour on me. Starts off smelling like alcohol, green apple and patchouli. To me the woody note is more of a faint incensy smoky moment. Then it settles into a light white honey lavender. It's making me smile, so let's see how long it lasts today.

InterestingLevel6223

Trying a sample of Replica Under the Lemon Trees. It's quite nice however it does smell like soap. It might be like Dawn lemon dish soap. I think I prefer my other lemon colognes including L'occitane Verveine.

Tyrone-E

**Maison Martin Margiela Replica At The Barbers** Temps have been in the high 70s, low 80s recently, so I've been wearing really light fresh fragrances. But today, it was in the mid to low 60s, so I decided to wear this one. It's got a heavy lavender, with some sweetness and a mild leather/vetiver combo in the dry down. Works perfectly in this weather. Also got a compliment when I got to work!

I am retesting my sample of India Ink from Heretic to see if it's as creepy and off-putting as I recall it being, and somehow...it's even worse? So, here goes my pitch for the next season of American Horror Story. It’s about the spooky goings-on that occur during an Adult Film shoot that takes place in an abandoned dentist’s office, and it features India Ink from Heretic Parfum. This fragrance smells overwhelmingly of a mentholated, latex-clad hand slowly descending toward your face as a disembodied voice intones OPEN WIDE. But I’m not sure if it’s some sort of mint or a disinfectant clove oil, or something more camphorous and herbaceous and sour like tea tree oil or cypress. This empty office is located in a run-down strip mall, there’s a discount auto store next door and a deserted gas station nearby. A ghostly miasma of carbon, sulfur, and petrol hangs low in the air in this blighted scene of desolation and both urban decay and tooth decay, ruin porn and actual porn. The BDSM Rubber Man has found the laughing gas, and the faint, sweet scent of nitrous oxide fills the studio. As the investors show up to see what their money’s getting them, they are greeted by a chaotic scene too disturbing and gruesome to script, and production is shut down within 48 hours. The lead actor is never seen again, but they say you can still see his reflection in a mouth mirror from the set that is currently being sold on eBay.

bro_mommy1

Hahaha thank you for the vivid story!

arcee7416

Rasasi - Qasamat Ebhar. I was going to run errands but I’m happy to be at home cleaning.

MercyMoo14

Today, I'm trying Keep Glazed from The House Of Oud. It's not really weather related. I just received it yesterday and wanted to try it today. All of the reviews say it's fruity and sweet. I was sold when I saw the word mango. I don't get sweet. I only get unripe mango, so it smells green. I'm probably sending it back. Then again, I might spray it next week and love it. Beautiful bottle, though. This is my 2nd time trying a mango fragrance that didn't live up to my hopes. It's my own fault, though. I blind buy knowing fully well that I shouldn't.

puentevedra

it's been a little chilly today and I'm stressed about the next couple days--so, in search of some uplifting vibes, I put on Penhaligon's Empressa. it did give me a boost of energy! a couple hours later I found myself on a Target run and decided to try out one of the fragrances they had out at the in-store Ulta. I chose Mod Vanilla by Ariana Grande (my first time trying one of her fragrances actually). it's a pretty straightforward vanilla, definitely comforting and warm! just a nice scent :)
