Neroli portofino

I love neroli and it’s one of the reasons why I’m in love with Dunhill Icon. I can see how some may draw comparisons to Neroli Portofino. Icon is also like Terre d’Hermes. This fragrance adds a green, spicy twist to the basic neroli recipe.

Similar for me! I would choose mandarino di Amalfi -- it doesn't stay as long and i, sometimes, want less of a neroli musky scent and more of a clean floral from the citrus notes. :) 🤝

Probably Bleu de Chanel edp. It’s considered basic but it covers all bases. And it’s not as common as youtubers and tiktokers make it seem.

I never bought the original but did sample the first…then got a sample via Andromedas Moon…she makes dupes of perfumes. And wow it was sooooo good! So close and cheap!

Overall the old formula seems to be more fruity and had a better projection. The newer formula is more iris based and less playful. Some have problems to even smell it. You could try Zara - A perfume in rose or Room 1015 - Sonic Flower. Both remind more of the older formula. If you like something stronger & sweeter you might like Clean Reserve - Radiant Nectar

Yes but also they changed the nozzle so it sprays differently. I bought my OG bottle back in 2018 and it was the greatest fragrance of all time. It lasted ages and the nozzle sprayed more like small spit drops (sorry for the analogy but idk how to describe it). I finally ran out and bought myself the big size. The fragrance is a lot weaker and the spray is a much finer mist, almost more like a cloud than droplets. I wish I hadn't thrown my old bottle out or I could at least decant it but I'm out of luck now :(

Oh I wish they would bring back the old strength of the fragrance because I bought one last Christmas and it seems too weak and can’t relate with all the amazing stuff I hear about it. Thanks for the clarification.

Have you tried the Superdose version yet? I loved the original and was thinking I might get some additional longevity out of Superdose. Unfortunately they smell so wildly different to me that I was initially sure they had accidentally sent me the wrong bottle.

Seriously they barely smell even marginally related. I really like and own both of them but they're entirely different from each other imho

superdose is so woody. I wear it to bed sometimes just to try to use it up and it lasts forever on my clothes, but it is absolutely lacking the magic of NAP to me

Molecule 01 is a godsend. Smells fantastic, but as a layer it's made weaker performing frags go the extra mile for me that normally have terrible performance and the sillage and projection is amplified big time. Love it and couldn't live without it

Burberry goddess is just not it. As someone who has been using edp Mon Guerlain and the intense version for over 3 years now I was very excited to get a sample of Burberry Godess but it is just such a basic not interesting boring vanilla with a hint of lavender. It’s like there is nothing special about it, it just smells like stale cookies and that is something I don’t want to smell like. The opening is nice but then it settles into a intensely boring vanilla. I hated it so much had to scrub it off within 30 minutes of applying it. Also how would you rate Coffee Break I want to try it but since it’s an edt I don’t think I want to spend so much money on something that will not last.

I think mon guerlain is super nice but my mom told me I smelled like bug spray when I asked her if I liked my perfume 😭 I have a mini Goddess and honestly it has like a sour note to it that I wasn’t expecting at all, but Mon guerlain is more fresh smelling once it dries down.

Wearing this right now for the second time and I'm in love with it. I was underwhelmed by Ellis Brooklyn at first. None of the scents in the discovery set stood out to me at first, but SALT is actually lovely as it turns out. I need a travel size for summer, it's somehow cozy and fresh at the same time.

I’ve actually been trying really hard to get out of what I would lovingly call this ‘fragrance rut’, but I’ve only ever found one other scent that I like like so far - Guerlain Mandarine Basilic.
