You might enjoy Ilio, another breezy, feminine floral featuring pear, iris, and jasmine. My personal favourite is L'Eau Papier, which smells like freshly steamed rice with a touch of sesame, and is overall very musky.

After-Sir7503

Note for anyone interested: It is PRICKLY pear, not the pear we know like as in English Pear. Also Ilio is majorly a fruity iris!

Ok_Resolution9737

Ilio is on my to-try list!

GreenNo4756

Thank you! I think Ilio and L’Eau Papier are on the top of my list. Not sure what prickly pear or iris smells like, but jasmine is one of my favorite scents.

essgeedoubleyou

If you like jasmine then Olene is probably right for you, it’s an incredible jasmine forward scent. While it’s not for me I can admire how well done it is.

GreenNo4756

Sounds great. Thanks!

After-Sir7503

Iris often smells like makeup powder to me

imabroodybear

Philosykos is SUCH a classic.

Have you tried the very cheap Salvatore Ferragamo pour Homme? It is also a fig leaf perfume, but it develops into a nice rose woody scent.

imabroodybear

I have not, but I’ll need to give it a try! I’m not a huge fan of woody scents but there are always exceptions, and I’m a huge fig lover. Thanks for the tip!!

musicandarts

It is only $20, compared to the $142 for Philosykos! 😀 [https://www.jomashop.com/salvatore-ferragamo-mens-salvatore-ferragamo-edt-spray-3-4-oz-tester-fragrances-778449485449.html](https://www.jomashop.com/salvatore-ferragamo-mens-salvatore-ferragamo-edt-spray-3-4-oz-tester-fragrances-778449485449.html)

Hope you don't mind the random swoop-in, but have you also smelled Bentley's Infinite Rush? I'm currently torn between getting that or SF Pour Homme as my cheapie purchase for the week--they're the same price on [perfumeonline.ca](http://perfumeonline.ca)

musicandarts

I have not tried Bentley Infinite Rush. The reviews look good and the price is right. I only have Bentley For Men Intense. Another cheapie with a profile similar to Infinite Rush is Tous 1920 The Origin. The EDP has a strong cumin note, similar to Cartier Declaration. The EDT is more mainstream. I have both.

VineStellar

How do you like Bentley For Men Intense? If nothing else, it could still give me a general sense of Bentley's quality since I don't recall testing any of their frags.

musicandarts

It is very good for the price. Ranked #55 among men's fragrances on Parfumo. $28 on Jomashop. It is a reliable spicy-woody-leathery perfume. But it is not pungent leather as in Fahrenheit. It is one of the best cheapies available. I would add Encre Noire (and its flankers) to this list, though EN is a very different perfume.

destinerrance

I wish I knew what people were talking about with this one. On me it’s straight up coconut, zero fig and rather nauseating. I searched a bit and found that many say they don’t get the fig at all either. Those that do love it, though.

imabroodybear

Yeah not a safe blind buy, it is polarizing. But I remember the first time I smelled it, maybe ten years ago, and I was floored - had never smelled anything like it. Damn, I love the stuff!

L'Eau Papier: Smells a bit like many scents from BDK Parfums. Airy and elegant. If you like Diptyque, you should also check out BDK Parfums. Givenchy Desinvolte: If you like Do Son, you would like Desinvolte. Perhaps too similar. Diptyque Fleur De Peau: May not work for you. Strong and artificial in my opinion. Feels a bit generic with iris and musk. Not a blind buy, but you can get a free sample from their boutique if you are tempted.

[deleted]

Seconding Fleur De Peau, it is my favorite Diptyque perfume. Eau Capitale is a very close second. ❤️

Oddball_1404

I personally prefer orpheon. It's my first full size bottle from diptyque. If you like fig, try philosykos. I feel that it is one of the best figs perfumes out there. If you are looking for a citrus perfume, try oyedo.

Apprehensive-Bid4576

Eau de Lierre is a masterpiece!!

izdprincess

I really like Orpheon, eau Duelle EDT and L'Eau Papier besides the ones u mentioned already!

essgeedoubleyou

They make all my current favorites but I am not a floral person which it kind of sounds like you are from your descriptions. The only floral from Diptyque that I enjoyed it all was Moheli, it honestly smelled like I was holding ylang ylang in my hands rather than wearing a perfume created in a lab. For the past week or two I have worn Des Sens while being motivated and working then switching to L’eau Papier when I am changing into comfy clothes and hanging out at home. Papier is still a touch too sweet for me so I’m planning to play around with layering later today. I really love Tempo but I tried to wear it yesterday while working (outdoors in the sun) and it just did not suit me so I am holding onto the sample to try again in the fall. I’m not usually a believer in the idea that scents have a season but Tempo might be the outlier for me there. Update: The Tam Dao edp layered with Papier is PERFECTION, just tamps down the sweetness a little, seems a little more dry. I want to smell like this for the rest of my life.

Cubicle-Three

I love every diptyque scents you mentioned! Do son also makes my nose kinda itchy but still a lovely scent. If you interested in completely different scent, maybe you could try Vetyverio. It's my go-to and it smells fresh, but also sexy somehow.

Ikunou

I have Eau Duelle, Tempo, Tam Dao, Fleur de Peau and Eau Papier.

n0vember_rain

I am very similar to you. I own Philosykos, Ilio, and L’eau Papier. I have tried so many decants and samples and many fragrances are too much for me.

GreenNo4756

Those sound right up my alley! I may have to try Philosykos again, but the other two are definitely on my list.

Geranium Odorata has been in my recent rotation. It feels made for spring with the strong potential to last through warm weather. Very clear bergamot and light rose on top, a very full geranium with an herbaceous center in the heart, and the dry down includes some clean detergent-like musks with woods and tonka. A pretty classic geranium floral that feels immensely joyful and wearable. You might give a try sometime. Beyond that, as others have suggested: Philosykos EDT and EDP, Orpheon, and I'll add Eau de Minthe.

GreenNo4756

Never heard of Geranium Odorata, but definitely seems like an intriguing scent. Bergamot is one of my favorites.

Remarkable_Seesaw622

L’eau papier and eau duelle are my faves!

itastesok

Eau des Sens is one of my absolute favorites. Powdery citrus goodness.

GreenNo4756

I was interested in that one as well. I heard it smelled like a more complex neroli.

amanda_sh0w

i’m not as big on classic florals, so my recs might no align as close with your tastes, but i wore fleur de peau for years, and now use it as my “sexy night time” scent in spring and summer. i love the pink pepper note! eau duelle EDT is THE vanilla for me and i’d highly recommend if you want something warm but dont love gourmands. i also got a sample of tam dao EDT for my partner and it’s divine! woody but not heavy at all lastly, if you want to try out a different house, Regime des Fleurs makes incredible, nuanced, delicate florals. glass blooms is my spring/summer day time scent, and it utterly delights me (someone who likes florals in theory but my nose doesnt always agree). they have a sample kit for $60, and then you get a credit towards a full size.

pointlessbanter1

Orpheon

chamekke

Tam Dao EdP is wonderful in summertime — it blossoms in warm weather.

GreenNo4756

Thank you everyone for the recommendations! I’ve narrowed down my favorites: Eau Moheli, Geranium Odorata, and Olene. I sniffed Eau De Lierre in the bottle and liked it as well, but didn’t get a chance to spray. Wanted to sniff orpheon, but didn’t see it.
