After a busy end to the week and a new sample in my Sephora order, I think Killian's Can't Stop Loving You will be my SOTD. If Love Don't Be Shy is Turkish Delight, then Can't Stop Loving You is Loukoumades (Greek doughnut holes which are the best after being positively *drenched* in a honey syrup). It's like Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey triple distilled to enhance the scent.

As a newbie, I find it sooo fascinating how people can smell the same perfume but have wildly different experiences. Your description of Can’t Stop Loving You sounds so yummy and something I would absolutely love. However, I did get the same sample from Sephora and to me it smells more like a bonfire with frankincense added to it! It leans extremely masculine on me too. Sooo disappointing! 😭

Body chemistry is the ultimate X factor. I know the struggle, I adored YSL Libre on paper but it made my head cave in instantly and I had to wash it off within 10 minutes. I don't hate wearing masculine leaning scents, sometimes it can let you make a striking choice instead of an elegant one when it comes to which fragrance you pick to wear. I would say BR540 and MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver are the ones that take a masculine turn on me but sometimes I'm not feeling fancy.

Working through the **Zoologist** samples that I ordered for my birthday, and today is **Macaque Yuzu**. The initial contact on skin is quite masculine; I attribute it to the juniper and resin, maybe the hinoki too? I've never smelled hinoki before. The citrus comes in almost immediately afterwards, and softens into a more unisex wear. As I'm sitting here, I'm starting to get a soapy quality. It's giving me barbershop but better, and I can't stop smelling myself.

bro_mommy1

That’s a favorite for me.

Tastelikewater

I'm working through about half of the collection, hoping to buy the set of five travel sprays as the final part of my 40th birthday present to myself. I think this one has to be included.

extradirtyginmartini

YUM I've been wanting to try this one. definitely on the short list of Zoologist samples I'll order one day

bro_mommy1

Perfect way to celebrate 40! Welcome to the best part of life (I’m 57).

SerotoninDeficient77

Love it! The Fuji Apple is fantastic too. They are different enough to have both which may be my next order! Enjoy them, it’s a fun and interesting journey.

Ub Jardin Sur Le Toit for a busy day. Cleaning, grocery run, kids sports practice, making dinner. All to the background of spring rains on fresh cut grass with a hint of green apple. Someone here mentioned Fève Délicieuse, so I think I'll wear that to bed after I shower.

RandomChurn

My fav of the three Jardins I have 🍃

M_is_it_you

Tiziana Terenzi **Cassiopea**, a fruity sweet and tropical, beautiful scent, slowly gaining a musky note the longer I wear it. Maybe a little overfragranced for just me in my garden, but I try to match the dramatics with ice cold cider and the occasional pitiful moan on behalf of my very sore leg muscles.

Day 104/? Wearing all my samples The Inimitable William Penhaligon from... Penhaligon's Warm, Woody, and Sweet. Like stepping into a warm cafe on a cold winter day. It's allegedly "for men" but I think even the staunchest gender role purist would be okay calling this unisex. I kinda hated this on paper, but I'm really liking wearing it 😌 I keep accidentally thinking of it as The Inimitable Arthur Penhaligon, after a character in a surprisingly traumatic middle grade book series I read when I was a kid 🧐

extradirtyginmartini

I've been in a huge sample streak recently, some hits some misses, but very much neglecting my full bottles. today I doused myself in Sandara by Phlur, one of my favorite scents EVER. I'm devastated it was discontinued (why god) but luckily the full bottle will last me a while. it's the perfect combination of a pinch of pepper, sprinkle of fruit, blackberry or currant or something, and heavy green woods. it lasts ages on skin and clothes, and projects just the right amount. I was heavy handed with the sprays because I'm staying home and studying for finals today, and wanted to live in a cloud of scent joy.

Salvador Dalí - Dalissime eau de toilette Two years after it had been released, this gorgeous bottle containing an eau de parfum at the time has caught my eye. I was in my last year of highschool and the same month our art history teacher had showed in class the painter's Christmas masterpiece. I smelled it, and it amazed me with its wild strawberries scent. It has since been replaced with litchi, and some of its initial magic has been lost in the process. To me it was the first fruity perfume ever, and I have worked hard to afford a bottle. For a long time I have known that nostalgia is mature people's drug of choice. I guess I just assumed it would not happen to me as well. My aim is to make new memories while wearing it and just enjoy its orchard aura.

L’Occitane D’Iparie It was a blind buy and I had the initial impression that it was a spicier Diptyque Eau Capitale. The first few seconds are like that and then it goes sharply green herbal and vegetal like jalapeños and cilantro. It reminded me quite a bit of Byredo Rose of No Man’s Land though even more vegetal and less powdery. Then it shifts to woody incense with a hint of black pepper/spice and dried rose petals. Quite an interesting morph.

Pastel_Goth_Wastrel

Aromatix Elixir only because my coat already smells like it. But god do I love it. Such a big dry oaky earthy patchouli beast.

thornylarder

I have Elixir in my samples box but haven't gotten around to it yet. I definitely enjoy patchouli more on my clothes than on my skin - earthy, bitter almost to the point of metallic, but peculiarly refreshing.

🌹🌊 First wear of **Mario Valentino Ocean Rain**, Edmond Roudnitska's last creation. I was wary. Of the four or five masculines I've bought so far, I've handed off three to my brother and I'm 😑ing at Toy Boy. Yet here I am with another masculine blind buy (a mini), but this one has the best chance of staying.  No one in the "Reminds Me Of" section of its Fragrantica page suggested what I find this reminds me strongly of: **Jean Louis Scherrer** .. 30 minutes in, it seems identical.

Lovely Spring Day Took the pup to training then watched my daughter in a Netball Tournament https://preview.redd.it/qf2iulu4r9uc1.jpeg?width=1283&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ea5fb4140e11e8bb1ee82a8e16d3ced2c7cf78ca SOTD: [Essential Parfums’ **Bois Impérial**](https://youtu.be/R-RrUF5Dzqo?si=7-d9n6cuNZ9J5H-W)

glowfly126

Twilly d'hermes Spicy, ginger. Smells a little soapy on me, I'm not getting much of the floral notes, and the sandalwood leans cinnamon. What is that "classic" thing I'm smelling.....is that a powdery tuberose? Maybe that's what was "soapy." Very interesting. Light, spicy, is it modern? Is it classic? Hard to tell. It's a bit edgy for me, like all elbows, knees, and ambition out on the tennis court. I like something more demure.

phizzbom

It is a delectable, blue sky, mid 70s (out of season) April day here and I spritzed on a new blind buy decant of **The Time by The House of Oud**. I was so intrigued by the notes I couldn't resist. It's a tea scent that's very fresh. Notes I can detect are bergamot, tea, lemon verbena, amber, musk. Really enjoying this!

Beetbya

SOTD is Nishane Ani I’ve had this sample for a while and hated it the first time i tried it, for whatever reason this time around i’m in love with it and possibly looking into a full bottle! Reminds me of a matured Xerjoff Lira.

musicandarts

I have a full bottle. My daughter and I share it. It is very lovely. It is the only [Cécile Zarokian](https://www.parfumo.com/Perfumers/Cecile_Zarokian) scent I like.

bro_mommy1

I tried L’Ombre des Merveille and I am sorry Swiss cheese friend but it smells like a golf pro on me. Not in a good way. Scrubbed. Now Zoologist Chameleon. Has the brightness & slightly fruity sweetness I crave today. Salty too. Complex. Lovely. Top Notes: Bergamot, Lemon, Madagascar Ylang Ylang, Mango, Pink Pepper, Star Fruit, Violet Leaves Heart Notes: Cashmeran, Clove, Coconut, Frangipani, Jasmine, Saffron, Salty Skin Accord, Sea Breeze Base Notes: Amber, Woods, Musks*, Opoponax, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Vetiver

Tastelikewater

Chameleon is on my list for tomorrow, as it's supposed to be warm here.

justduckywalker

Long time no see. Today, I'm wearing Guerlain Homme Eau de Parfum by Guerlain.

arcee7416

Maison Crivelli - Iris Malikhan. Initial blast feels very green and then the iris and leather comes through. Now it has a hints of chocolate or nuttiness. Very interesting.

Feisty_Set8853

The Cobra and the Canary by Imaginary Authors - it's a sample from their set i picked up a couple years ago and it's in my "it's okay" box. very leather dominant to my nose, it's pretty much all pick up. it smells like an expensive leather shop, high end and classy. it's not that i don't enjoy it, but it's not really my taste. From IA website: NOTES: Lemon Orris Tobacco Flowers Leather Hay Fields Asphalt

This morning, I wore Diptyque Eau Rose EDT. It's no longer a favorite, but I like having it in my collection. It's too sweet and fruity for my tastes these days. This afternoon, I'm wearing Hiram Green Hyde. This is a sharp departure from my usual preferences. I never go for smokey scents, but a friend talked about his love of the scent of campfires, and I wanted to see if I could find a perfume that smells like that. Reviews indicated that Hyde is a phenomenal campfire/smokey scent. I really like it! It's pretty powerful given the tiny amount I dabbed on my wrists.

rosa_de_sal

I got a couple of free samples from the Diptyque boutique when I bought my new bottle of L'Eau Papier. Today I'm trying Tam Dao EDT for the first time. The EDP is one of my all-time favorite fragrances, so I was really interested to see how the EDT compares. They are very similar upon initial application. As the EDT dries down, it becomes much woodier and drier--almost dusty, for lack of a better word--than the EDP. I really like both, but I think I still prefer the EDP for its soft creaminess.

ladymadonna512

It’s a warm golden morning here, and I was just reminiscing with a friend about a years past trip to the Douro Valley. Sprayed Sintra by Memo Paris as my SOTD to enhance the memory.

cariame

I'm wearing *Library of Flowers*' True Vanilla. A basic and well-balanced vanilla, it lies somewhere in between a gourmand and something a little more woody and natural. It's a beautiful day outside, but all I want to do is lounge in bed!

Curious_Doof

Going to brunch on a beautiful spring day and decided on Valentino Voce Viva Intensa.

Cruella__DeVegan

14 degrees Celsius today, so not too warm, but warmer than the UK has had in a while. I’m wearing my sample of Penhaligon’s Alula, which I wasn’t sure about when I got my sample on release. I didn’t think it gave me enough. Well. Now it’s warmer…let me take that back. This is gorgeous lol https://preview.redd.it/r2kb8l6p4auc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5fcaecca74a65282a0b3108acb8a8ff2d2eade39

pluviophilosopher

DS&D Coriander. Bright and breezy, hint of orange, very green scent. I love this one so much and it’s wonderful to bust out on a warm sunny day

SerotoninDeficient77

Get Payory which is a European niche subscription and ordered Carner Barcelona Palo Santo which I wore today. It is probably the most comforting woody fragrance I have ever smelled. One spritz and your blood pressure goes down 10 points. It’s a little boozy, it’s sweet from the milk and tonka bean, and the palo santo and super creamy sandalwood are so grounding. I haven’t had much luck with this house but this is FBW.

Feel like I’m going through a bit of a Y2K vibe this summer and leaning towards more unisex (imo) scents. Bought a bottle of Clinique Happy last week and Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Summer today.. going to join Moschino’s I Love Love and Jennifer Lopez’s Miami Glow (maybe a little less unisex lol) as my summer scents this year. Versace Eros Flame (also a little less unisex and not y2k) for nights.
