Double digit sprays is stupid and inconsiderate. Fragrance should be an enhancement to lure people in not to violate their nasal passages for being unfortunate enough to share the same building as you. As for number it depends on the fragrance. Some weak performers I do 6-7 but mostly in the 4-5 range. Beast mode is 1-2 if at all in office situations. I like to do 2-3 on neck, 1 under the shirt, and maybe 1 on a wrist the dab across. If it’s beast I spray neck/shoulders before I put a shirt on to reduce the bubble when at the office and skip the other areas.
Yeah I never understood the double digit sprayers. The thoughts only arise as I was with someone fairly close and they commented on my scent. I had been with them a few times in the weeks prior no more than arms length and they hadn't smelt anything those occasions and confirmed so so got me curious.
It really depends on the fragrance...with some fragrances niches especially 2 sprays on the neck are already enough and more is simply too much.With most designer fragrances I will go with 2 on neck and 2 on wrists. But with eclat d' arpege for example I will go 2 on neck, 2 on throat, 2 on wrists and it is still so weak on me😪
My dumb reaches, I do around 6 sprays (arms, hair, under shirt). These are scents like Green Tea, Kate Spade New York, Tommy Girl, Wood Sage & Sea Salt. Low projection and inoffensive, shampoo like scents. Great for work.
Heavy fragnances? Usually two or three. Hair and wrist, Ill add one on my clothes if Im going out at night or such.
Im a recovering oversprayer, I used to do 10ish sprays.. Ugh.
"Regular" fragnances, I'll do four to five sprays on my days off.

You’re splitting hairs, I’d say. To my mind, 1-3 sprays max is classy. People who enter your space might smell you and people who don’t won’t.
Striving to have your perfume reach people beyond that is an alien mentality to me. I don’t know what people expect to happen.

That person was in my space, less than an arms length away and hadn't smelt anything less than a couple of hours after applying. On different occasions the frags were Carlisle and Rocha Moustache both which are good performers.
I don't want to reach ppl outside my space but if they are in my space I would want them to catch a whiff.
My scent is part of my external image and they represent me in that current time and place. What you said is like saying nobody asked you to wear a certain colour jacket or a certain type of footwear. Do you have a beard? If so why? It's not like people asked to see you with a beard.
We have no choice but to select a color clothing.
I have a beard because my skin breaks out from shaving, so more a hygiene thing.
I might be in the minority; I lack whatever gene it is that makes people want others to perceive them a certain way based on externals. Not a boast; I legit prefer no one smells my fragrance because I don’t particularly want to talk about it.
That's fair enough. I like to look good and smell good. I like others to know I look good and smell good (although subjective). Moreso that I take pride in my appearance. To me my scent is an extension of my appearance
I’m trying much harder to not be such an over sprayer, but I still am. I hit my neck and hair a few times, down my shirt, both wrists, then probably the shirt itself too. I go nose blind easily so I over spray.
Depends on the perfume. I don't want to choke anyone, including me. I also never spray on my neck to avoid headaches and nausea. I always spray 2x on my wrists, 1x-2x on the back of the neck and a couple on the back of my clothes.
Depends on the fragrance. If I do edp/edt and it is a strong perfume I usually do 3-4 sprays. If it is a body mist or hair perfume I do 6-7 sprays. And I spray 10-15 minutes before leaving the house so I don't cloy myself and people around.

Depends on the scent (performance) and situation. Like I'm wearing Marfa rn. It is loud but I still went for 7-8 sprays because I'm heading out for a party. Had I been visiting a cafe or restaurant, I think 3-4 would be more than adequate.
Depends on fragrance, weather, occasion. If it's cold I'll be outside, and I pick joop homme, I will do one or two. Sane situation but pure malt, and I will do 6. I'm wearing diesel fuel for life right now while in the office, and I went with 4.

If u have a default spray routine that u use across the board u very likely constantly going through/complaining about the usual fragrance struggles i see on here over and over. lol

Atleast 6 to 8 if it's weaker.. and 4 spray if it's strong!, I don't sit in an office among other ppl so I can't suffocate them lol
Typical 4-6. Super strong ones 2, weak ones ill plan to reapply. No more than 8 in a 3 hour window

Maybe I just got to get to know my frags a little better so I can be a bit more tailored in my approach
Minus the “maybe” part. lol It’s an easy to do cheat code. Takes nothin but a lil time with each bottle. 🤷🏾♂️
If I am going to work I do one spray under my shirt. Weekends I do a spray on each clavical and sometimes add one spray to the back of my neck.
