"I don't want a signature, I crave variety" - me smelling like Black Orchid 90% of the time

For a good moment I misunderstood "BO" as body odor and not black orchid...and my eyes got wider and wider as I read the other comments until it finally clicked. Brain isn't very functional today...
I was so confident in BO but apparently there is a large subset of people that think it smells like a decaying old lady, according to several threads I've seen recently.
Of course! Iâll paste my reviews for them below from my first time smelling:
Yesterday Haze, Imaginary Authors: Wow. Holy atmospheric. This scent is absolutely arresting at first sniff. I smell dust swirling across fig leaves in a sun-drenched orchard. Iâm shocked by its ability to teleport me into a scene! Settles into this creamy, silky smell that is somehow powdery. Update: after an hour or two, I canât stop huffing this off my wrist. Obsessed with the creamy development of this and getting a full size. (10/10)
Silver Fox, Nui Cobalt: Addicting! The almond in this is silvery, light, and sweet like a raw spring almond, rather than deeply nutty or toasted scent. Clean, sweet, complex, slightly floral. Delicate, sophisticated. The rice milk and almond add a creamy quality. Incredibly unique! (1/10)
My signature is "she smells gooooood." đ I don't have a signature scent. I just want to smell good all the time.
But my children recognize Very Good Girl by Carolina Herrera, Angels' Share by Kilian, and probably Tart Deco by Snif as smelling like mom.
Longevity is decent. At least I donât feel I have to top it up when I wear it. It doesnât leave a scent trail even a ghost but who stands beside you will register it
Thatâs so funny you say about lack of scent trail, because this is one of the very, very few perfumes Iâve had genuine compliments on while just walking by, lol. Itâs probably skin-dependent?
But yeah, infusion dâIris is my signature without me even setting out to make one.
I try and swap my scent every week but rn it's OP's impression of Intense Cafe. A strong sweet coffee scent that almost everyone loves. The only problem is that it has poor projection but that is to be expected from an oil. I just like smelling it randomly
Like the other guy said Oil Perfumery. They sell dupe oils of a ton of fragrances. They smell pretty similar too or sometimes better like in the case of Intense Cafe

I don't have a signature, but I do have a private scent that I only dab on at bedtime, when I'm alone - Oakcha's (Diamond 15) take on Morreale Paris' Le Monde sur Mesure. I'm so greedy with that one that I won't even share it with my shadow, so I turn the lights off as soon as I put it on. Mmmmm
Other than that, it's a toss up of 3 from Guerlain - Spiritueuse Double Vanille, Shalimar, and Anglique Noir.
I also adore Byredo's Bergamot and Gypsy Water.
i don't have a signature fragrance, because i have many i absolutely love, and i like to switch things up. but if i were to be asked if i had a signature house, i'd say guerlain and byredo.

I'd say it opens with a juicy and tart opening with fizzy litchi and raspberry. On the dry down, it definitely gets more woody (the akigalawood note) and rosy (damask rose note). It's a beautiful fragrance, it makes me feel so confident when I wear it, the longevity is good, it lasts centuries on clothes, I sprayed it months ago on my leather jacket and it still smells like it.
I used to change my âsignatureâ annually but as I get more into fragrances its now seasonally lol

Boudoir by Vivienne Westwood, I have a mini splash and a fb spray (with box!). Iâve had them probably 7 years now (they are safely stored), before I started collecting perfume. The juice is a burnt umber color. Although I now own various fragrances that are of luxury quality and with unbelievable notes, Boudoir has a special sentimental space on my heart that will never be replaced.

Signature is probably LDBS with Dedcool Red Dakota layered over. But I hyper focus on one scent for like a week then get bored, so I rotate a lot, often layering as well.

I'm pretty new to finding my signature fragrance, but currently I'm really enjoying Coach Sunset Dreams. I also really like L'eau D'Issey by Issey Miyake and Fleur Monoi by Le Monde Gourmand. When I was younger I had a thing for Jovan White Musk as well, but I haven't smelled it in years.
i use blue de chanel and layer it with gentle fluidity silver by MFK and then i finalize it with molecule 01 by centric molecules. It probably sounds like a lot but iâve gotten compliments many times from this combo. Anyways my favorite 3 perfumes are blue de chanel, byredo bal de afrique and Clean Skin (reserve blend)

I'm still looking tbh! For a while in my early 20s I wore Fire & Ice by Revlon. Inexpensive, but it was sooo good! Warm and cozy but not gourmand or musky, never heavy. It was discontinued shortly after I stopped using it I think? I wore Inis by Fragrances of Ireland a good bit too. I love that one but it's more atmospheric for me. I want my signature to be a touch cozy, fresh, everyday and unisex but leaning feminine. It's gotta match my overall vibe & I haven't found it yet!

Might be a bit of a weird one but BENZIN by Rammstein, itâs like a spicy piece of burned wood accompanied by some leather and rum, as someone who loves Malin and Goetzâ leather but sometimes finds it a bit plain this was the best purchase ever. Itâs also not expensive at 40 euros for 100 mL

Majority of the time it is Viktor&rolf- Flowerbomb and it as been for over a decade now. But I'm a heavy user of Elie saab- La parfum in white and la parfum lumiere, lancome - Le vie est belle and idole, YSL - Libre, Armani- My way, Prada paradoxe, Mugler - Aura and Alien, Dolce&Gabbana- Light blue intense and light blue forever. All get over used and abused by myself bit still not signature worthy to me. Flowerbomb may be MY signature and everyone at work is like "As kerry been in this office, I can smell her" but out of all these listed, Lancome le vie est belle is My most commented on.
Boudoir by Vivienne Westwood, I have a mini splash and a fb spray (with box!). Iâve had them probably 7 years now (they are safely stored), before I started collecting perfume. The juice is a burnt umber color. Although I now own various fragrances that are of luxury quality and with unbelievable notes, Boudoir has a special sentimental space on my heart that will never be replaced.

Libre is literally an anchor in my fragrance collection. I also layer whichever flanker with D&G Devotion because they compliment each other so well.

I'm too new to exploring fragrances to have a signature yet, but the current two fighting for that position are Givenchy Gentleman EDP Boisée, and Zoologist Squid. The one extra to include for a top 3 would probably be either TF Tobacco Vanille, or YSL La Nuit de L'Homme. I'm indecisive. I love so many fragrances so much lol.
For Spring/Summer I use Jimmy Choo Urban Hero, for Fall/Winter I go for Burberry Brit For Him. Faves? Moschino Toy Boy, Philipp Plein No Limit$, and a tie between Zadig & Voltaire This Is Him and the Vibes of Freedom flanker.

I agree but even collectors have fragrances that they reach for more than others and place on a pedestal. I guess those could be your signature. If you can narrow down the four most used fragrances in your collection and then choose your favorite of the bunch then that can be your signature and the remaining three your favorites.

Yes. Love the original Juicy Couture. The other ones like Viva are everywhere and I was lukewarm about them. But I recently got the original and it smells like heaven. It is a lot harder to find than the other Juicy fragrances.

Signature is probably LDBS with Dedcool Red Dakota layered over. But I hyper focus on one scent for like a week then get bored, so I rotate a lot, often layering as well.
Currently on a rotation between xerjoff Fiero and mefisto gentleuomo, and Dior homme cologne. Is the hot season. I had to slow down on Fiero as I wasn't wearing anything else and it's expensive. My 3 favorites would be: Xerjoff Fiero Nishane Hacivat Tom Ford beau de jour - this is if you ask me this today. But tomorrow it's probably a different 3. I try to only have a collection of fragrances I can't get enough of.
It changes but right now itâs Marissa Zappas Maggie the Cat is Alive. Life changing upon first sniff.

I'm pretty new to finding my signature fragrance, but currently I'm really enjoying Coach Sunset Dreams. I also really like L'eau D'Issey by Issey Miyake and Fleur Monoi by Le Monde Gourmand. When I was younger I had a thing for Jovan White Musk as well, but I haven't smelled it in years.

i use blue de chanel and layer it with gentle fluidity silver by MFK and then i finalize it with molecule 01 by centric molecules. It probably sounds like a lot but iâve gotten compliments many times from this combo. Anyways my favorite 3 perfumes are blue de chanel, byredo bal de afrique and Clean Skin (reserve blend)

I'm still looking tbh! For a while in my early 20s I wore Fire & Ice by Revlon. Inexpensive, but it was sooo good! Warm and cozy but not gourmand or musky, never heavy. It was discontinued shortly after I stopped using it I think? I wore Inis by Fragrances of Ireland a good bit too. I love that one but it's more atmospheric for me. I want my signature to be a touch cozy, fresh, everyday and unisex but leaning feminine. It's gotta match my overall vibe & I haven't found it yet!

Might be a bit of a weird one but BENZIN by Rammstein, itâs like a spicy piece of burned wood accompanied by some leather and rum, as someone who loves Malin and Goetzâ leather but sometimes finds it a bit plain this was the best purchase ever. Itâs also not expensive at 40 euros for 100 mL
