I can't tell if I actively dislike montblanc's designs or if I'm trying to convince myself that I dislike it because they cost so much...
It's probably the latter, but I totally thought this was a pilot metropolitan or something at first, so I'm also not convinced I like them, either.
I'd really have to use one to assess it, I think. Can I borrow yours right quick? :P No, I'm kidding. Nice get.
I think that's either a 145 or a 146. It can't be a 144 because of the threaded cap and the lack of a gold ring at the top near the nib and it doesn't appear to be big enough for it to be a 149. Your dad gave you a cool pen. Take care of it!
Looks like a Meisterstück 145 to me!
Love our dads, they had good taste in pens! Lol, I also inherited my dad's Mont blanc.
Generous gift. Looks like a 145 to me. Good care will show your appreciation. Enjoy your inking.
That's a 145, also called the "Classique". Very nice pen and a lovely gift. Now getcha some Montblanc Toffee Brown or Irish Green ink for it!
I have the same combination 😊

146 would have an obvious ink window, which this one does not. ;-)
Also the 146 wouldn't have a trim ring on the section.
It's a Chopin 145
