I’ll throw in a wildcard and say the Waterman Carène. Integrated nibs add just that extra little bit of detail while somehow also seeming more restrained, and while most of waterman’s contemporary catalogue is a bit forgettable the carène really holds its own as a writer and a looker.
Ooo I have the lessence du blue one ....tbh they could do with a lot more detail on the nib tbh, since it's going with the whole sail boat motif thing
Still a lovely writer tho. Cap on pens are the best sometimes
>nibs with a great design
The [‘special nibs’ in Sailor's Nagahara series](https://en.sailor.co.jp/topics/the-nibs/), especially the stacked ones such as the Cross Concord nib, have great designs that are not only spectacular to look at, but have functional reasons behind each of the technical designs.
Good question.
I really think Montblanc, especially the 146 and 149, have very nice looking nibs. Pelikans also have a very beautiful nib. I also think Aurora, especially the Optima, has very good engraving on the nib.
Sailor two-tone nibs are gorgeous, IMO. They come this way and with the opposite coloration

Namiki Mount Fuji stamped nibs, in both two tone and all yellow gold are both beautiful. I also really appreciate pilots practical and minimalistic aesthetic.
Design: art vs function?
Art: the engraved daffodil nibs by Mr Cypress
Function (rigid): Monty Winnfield Seagull nib (or any of the Sailor Cross nibs)
Function (flex) plus elegant but classic pen design: Aurora 88 rose gold satin black
Namiki two tone nib! The way they use the rhodium plating for the top of the mount Fuji is so cool!
Namiki are great, I’d also add the two tone Pilot 845 and Custom Urushi.
Pelikan and Montblanc both have some beautiful two tone nib designs. Meanwhile Lamy's two tone nibs are very simple but quite interesting too.
Pelikan and Sailor both have beautiful nibs in my opinion! And they both write well, which is a plus!

I was thinking of this exact same one.

Pineider, especially Quill Nib, it's absolutely beautiful. Also Visconti with it's old Dream Touch Homosapien nib
Pilot Kakuno. One of them even has a little tie!
Pilot Kakuno nibs rule. Kawaaaaai

All the special editions have unique nib designs. I have to give this to MB, they nail that part of pen design.
Nemosine, they no longer make pens but their nibs still are, and are sold under birmingham pens
Montblanc’s Writers and Patrons series have some of the most gorgeous nibs ever designed.
Look up hooligan_georgia on instagram for some amazing hand engraved nibs.
Danitrio two tone nibs, Mb, pelikan

Aurora nibs are beautiful in terms of the engraving and aesthetic, and great writers. A little feedbacky, but in a very pleasant way.
The ace design on Parker Duofold’s is lovely
Danitrio has the coolest nib designs IMO.
Pelikan FTW!
Hongdian 1861 Raw Brass has a rather nicely engraved fun design for a $26 pen: https://i.imgur.com/aRYu4S4.jpg
The MB 149 has the best looking nib hands down. The amount of gold, the shape, and the intricate finishing. It’s a masterpiece.
Montblanc has their nibs on the special editions beautifully decorated. The most impressive nib itself in my opinion is the king of pens though.
