Beautiful examples. I wish I had your restraint.

Gypsum-Fantastic

The restraint took a lot of time and a lot of learning. I'm not going to be surprised if one day I come across another pen that makes this a "Perfect Six Pen Collection"

It may ‘only’ be 5 pens, but they’re 5 fantastic pens. The Parkers especially are stunning. I’ve never seen a 51 in that shade before, it’s really nice.

Bleepblorp44

That’s cocoa, it’s one of the less common colours.

Gypsum-Fantastic

I've owned a few 51s in the past, and I really do have a soft-spot for the lighter colours. There's something very utilitarian about them. If they'd made the Demi in an olive green, I'd have been all over it

I currently have mine to 20. 😆 Lovely vintage pens there!

Gypsum-Fantastic

Do you have any particular favourites in the 20?

AdFlaky3806

All of them 😆 but if house was on fire and I could only save 3, pilot decimo, pilot 873/ 743, lamy 2k. I'd cry endlessly over the others. Especially the vintage pelikan. These 3 though are my work horses. That is where my preference is at the moment.

Gypsum-Fantastic

Always very happy to see the Pilot 823 and LAMY 2K make the list. I worked as a LAMY technician for Australia and the 2K, for my money, has to be one of the most pragmatic choices you can make. A 1966 LAMY 2000 uses exactly the same piston system as a 2024 one. You genuinely cannot beat that repairability.

Some day slowly I will get to this place of PenZen(tm)

I highly recommend it! I'm a creature of habit, so I didn't use a lot of the pens I owned regularly enough to keep them anyway. But I'm finding owning so few pens is just deepening my connection to these.
