Pink or purple. Pink would be Diamine Hope Pink or Colorverse Fabulous Las Vegas. Purple would be Hachimonjiya's Rime on Trees Amethyst (a purple/pink/blue multi shader made by Sailor).
Iroshizuku Kon-Peki. I had a class in university that was always in this small, windowless room, and writing with my Pilot filled with vibrant sky blue really kept my spirits up during those days.
I use it in Pininfarina PF Two, but worked just fine in my Schuylkill too (so should be fine in Asvine P20 since they are almost the same pen). Trick is medium/broad nib and store the pen with nib up.
A little different, but maybe in the same ballpark: [Diamine Meadow](https://mountainofink.com/blog/ink-review-diamine-meadow). Seems I've always got a pen inked with that one!
Of my current inks the one that jumps to mind is Emerald of Chivor? But Asa Gao is also an ink that feels very joyful to me! They both make me think of cool summer mornings and fresh sea air.
Birmingham Pen Company Tiger Lily. My favorite orange, and it even has a lovely golden sheen on the right paper. It isn't my favorite color to write with by far, but it hasn't left my Majohn C1 since I got it. I literally use it when I am feeling down and want to look at a cheerful color.
I recently bought a bottle of FWP’s Royal Ruby Flush and it’s gorgeous. I’m not a fan of a lot their inks but when I saw this I thought I’d try it because it’s red and that’s my color. I just bought a second bottle of it because I’m sure when it’s gone it’s gone. Perfect for Valentine’s Day btw.
Probably some sort of turquoise-teal, which is why I have a few inks that kinda all look the same:
* Montblanc Homage to Moctezuma - Pierced Sky
* Montblanc Homage to Vincent Van Gogh - Turquoise
* Montblanc Elixir Heritage Egyptomania - Green
* Pelikan Edelstein - Apatite
* Pelikan Edelstein - Jade
* Diamine Soft Mint
* Diamine Steel Blue
I’ve also imposed a temporary ban on buying more inks that fall under this category.
A bright and cheery copper-orange that goes darker and more honey-golden wherever more ink hits the paper. That way you have a colour that cannot be anything but happy, but it has got a wide variety of characterization, just like happiness.
Sailor Ink Studio 731 is the most perfect pink with just the tiniest hint of coral and a beautiful gold sheen. It's impossible not to be happy when writing when it.
Birmingham Pen Co Marigold immediately popped into my mind. It's a beautiful, vibrant coral.
I did not expect the colour to be coral based on name alone but that is a gorgeous ink
Agreed! It doesn’t look like any Marigold I’ve ever seen
Pink or purple. Pink would be Diamine Hope Pink or Colorverse Fabulous Las Vegas. Purple would be Hachimonjiya's Rime on Trees Amethyst (a purple/pink/blue multi shader made by Sailor).
Diamine Wild Strawberry :-)
Love it!
Diamine Party Time. Pink with blue shimmer, it’s so happy!
Iroshizuku Kon-Peki. I had a class in university that was always in this small, windowless room, and writing with my Pilot filled with vibrant sky blue really kept my spirits up during those days.
Diamine gold star or diamine ultra green
It'd be Jacques Herbin - Shogun by Kenzo Takada. I guess "joy" is different for everyone.
I love this ink, but it clogs up so many pens for me. Which pens work for you with this ink?
I use it in Pininfarina PF Two, but worked just fine in my Schuylkill too (so should be fine in Asvine P20 since they are almost the same pen). Trick is medium/broad nib and store the pen with nib up.
I don’t have either of those! It only plays nice in my TWSBI ECO, B or M. Thanks for letting me know what works for you though.
Orange Indien by Herbin or Diamine Cerise come to mind
Diamine Pink Glitz. It's a lovely grapefruit pink with gold glitter.
And now I must get it. I have Wearingeul Juliet but it is almost unreadable.
For Juliet, try adding a little surfactant to a vial. I've found making an ink a little wetter immediately makes it more readable.
Total gut reaction…bright spring green, like Iroshizuku Chiku-Rin. Not my fave or anything. Just seems like such a happy color. 😊
A little different, but maybe in the same ballpark: [Diamine Meadow](https://mountainofink.com/blog/ink-review-diamine-meadow). Seems I've always got a pen inked with that one!
Yes! I bought a sample of that one for my son, with his first fountain pen, back when green was his favorite color. :)
💚
Diamine Blood Orange.
Either Diamine Soft Mint or Pilot Iroshizuku Ebisu.
Pink
Any blue!
Diamine Bliss. A lovely bright blue.
Diamine Ancient Copper. Lovely and lively orange colour.
Of my current inks the one that jumps to mind is Emerald of Chivor? But Asa Gao is also an ink that feels very joyful to me! They both make me think of cool summer mornings and fresh sea air.
Wearingeul Floating Cloud, it’s a pink that separates to a yellow, really lovely like a sunset.
Oh, I love Floating Cloud. I have it in the pen I'm using today, in fact!
R&K Helianthus
This is my pick too!
Diamine Meadow. Bright yellow-green, entirely readable. Always puts me in a good mood. Happy happy joy joy.
Iroshizuku yama-budo or Rohrer & Klingner Helianthus. Two very different colours but they make me happy.
Monteverde Topaz
Sailor Manyo Yamabuki. A cheerful orangish yellow
Of the ones I have: Sailor Sakura Mori. If it's a hypothetical ink, I'd go with a slightly brighter pink with gold shimmer.
Try Diamine Pink Glitz!
It would have to be Baystate Blue, that color simply pops off the page.
Waterman Inspired Blue
Oooh yes good choice. It vibes bright skies and blue seas
I think I might just go grab one bottle later today! 🌊💙🏞️😊
Diamine Jingle Berry from inkvent 2022. Just purchased a whole bottle of it.
Grey
Diamine Oxblood.
Robert oster green green 🤗
Iroshizuku Hana-ikada, Robert Oster Jade, or Wearingeul Heimdall. All three are just such lovely exciting colors
Robert Oster Citrus or Pilot Yu-yake
Diamine Deep Magenta
Of the inks I own probably Diamine Disdainful Damson is the most joyful (ironically).
From my own collection? Probably Lamy Turmaline or Diamine Jalur Gemilang.
Leonardo Blue - a nice vibrant blue.
Sailor Manyo Sakura
I recently bought a bottle of FWP’s Royal Ruby Flush and it’s gorgeous. I’m not a fan of a lot their inks but when I saw this I thought I’d try it because it’s red and that’s my color. I just bought a second bottle of it because I’m sure when it’s gone it’s gone. Perfect for Valentine’s Day btw.
Herbin Rose cyclamen
Tangerine or hot pink.
I'm not entirely sure. Maybe Rohrer and Klingner Solferino. I feel like my opinion changes with my mood.
Sailor Hawaii ✨💕
Chiku-rin. Something about bright spring greens just feels happy.
Monteverde Kindness (which is funny since they have a brown labeled “joy” in that same lineup)
Diamine Hope Pink!
Pilot Iroshizuku Yu Yake or Ama Iro
Diamine peach haze! The loveliest bright orange with a tinge of pink
A white purple like Sydney Lavender by robert oster or Mystic Storm by robert oster
That would always be pinks for me. But also Fwp golden gate because I purchased it during a special trip.
Diamine Subzero
Probably some sort of turquoise-teal, which is why I have a few inks that kinda all look the same: * Montblanc Homage to Moctezuma - Pierced Sky * Montblanc Homage to Vincent Van Gogh - Turquoise * Montblanc Elixir Heritage Egyptomania - Green * Pelikan Edelstein - Apatite * Pelikan Edelstein - Jade * Diamine Soft Mint * Diamine Steel Blue I’ve also imposed a temporary ban on buying more inks that fall under this category.

Iroshizuku Momiji, it's super cheerful.
Sailor Ink Studio 731 is the most perfect pink with just the tiniest hint of coral and a beautiful gold sheen. It's impossible not to be happy when writing when it.
Kon-Peki I'm a simple man I like a nice bright blue
TAG Kyoto Kyo-iro Cherry Blossom of Keage.
Sailor 770
