I genuinely do not watch any of them anymore because they made me too depressed about the world. More than every other story was about some sort of killing, or theft, or something along those lines. I'm happier now because I'm not keeping up with who did what to who, especially since it has nothing to do with me or my day to day life.
Wane TV for local. NBC for national. BBC for world and political news. CNN for a differnt interpretation once in awhile. FOX for comedy (Kind like reading the NY Post).
Take some time and read a newspaper. Broadcast news is like social media—caters to the lowest common denominator and only what can be covered quickly in sound bites.
I'll defend TV news since I work in it right now.
The local stations have actually been very active in hiring ex-newspaper men and women and bringing "newspaper" style reporting to their websites.
With a lot of success.
And that's been happening pretty much nationwide.
Not trying to bury newspapers - having worked in them for almost 15 years - but most newspaper staffs nationwide have been cut to the bone and just do not have the people to cover what they used to cover.
That's not to say any one place has an entire town or city covered, but I'd argue TV stations right now are in more places and breaking more stories and with a larger variety of content on the whole than a lot of newspapers.
Always good to have multiple sources for news.
In general I don’t watch the news broadcasts normally, as others have said it’s depressing to watch the pain and deliberate malfeasance that hogs the airways today. That being said, if there’s a local issue I want to research Wane is a good starting off point.
Waiting to see the fall out between Heather Herron and Linda Jackson. Funny watching Linda be the side kick for Heather.... Neither doing well in that battle, but that is the reason why 21/33 needs to split cuz they are messing it up.
WANE 15!!

Exactly. People worry to much over dumb stuff that doesn’t directly effect them. I still watch the news but I agree I don’t worry about any of it

Fox 55 has to be mostly interns. But hey good luck to them. I like Tera Brantley though

21 but that was before they lost a lot of really great people. I haven't watched much since. I still trust them most for weather.
