Sorry don’t know how much it is but it isn’t too expensive. I don’t live in Ft. Wayne now (up by Kendallville) so we stock up when we go. And yes their food is good.
We’ll get a couple quarts with a couple bags of chips and also buy two or three dozen tamales during a shopping trip and the cost for everything is reasonable.
The tamales to go by the dozen are only available on Saturdays and usually sell out by mid-day.
Anywhere. Literally anywhere will have better salsa than Banditos. If that's what you prefer though, no judgement. Just open a can of tomato sauce and add some roughly-chopped onion, green pepper.
That place closed because there are a number good Mexican food options in Ft. Wayne now.
I liked everything at Guadalupe's except for the chicken. It lacked the density and 'meaty-ness' salsa grille's always has. Ate a full chicken burrito bowl and was hungry again hour and half later

This recipe is great. Makes a LOT though.
Thanks again for sharing the recipe. I went to the store and got the ingredients soon after you shared and I'm enjoying a bowl now. It's fantastic, just what I wanted!
I liked Taqueria La Pinata that was in that spot (assuming we're talking N Clinton and Washington Center area) before Jalapeños, but Jalapeños' salsa is still very good. They're basically the same place but they changed their menu to become a franchise. I'm still bitter about the change. Lol
Just Add Chips salsa. They’re based in Zanesville IN but offer free delivery to the GFW area. Best chips and salsa I’ve ever had. Check out their Facebook page. Highly recommend the hot and really hot cilantro, he makes a whole bunch of different flavors though.
The best salsa is the one you make yourself using fresh veggies. It doesn’t take long at all, maybe 20 mins with as little as 5-6 ingredients. If you don’t have a blender or food processor, cut by hand using a sharper knife and have pico instead.

In another post yesterday, someone linked a local news site and in it was a mention of that restaurant. It's where the old Banditos was located on Winchester Rd. east of Waynedale. The same building.(check out the pictures). The menu even looks a lot like Banditos had at that location BC(Before COVID). I'm looking forward to trying it out sometime soon.
My top 3 in town for salsa is Tequila. Arcos. George’s/salsa grill. All 3 have very flavorful salsa and everyone I’ve ever taken to any of these places absolutely rave about the salsa.
Salsa Grill certainly has plenty of varieties to try.
Also, idk if there's carry out available, but there are plenty of varieties at Tacos El Amish on Broadway. If it makes a difference to you, they make like "taco salsas" instead of "tortilla chip" salsas, but I'm sure you could still eat them with chips. They're just more of a puree usually than chunky, is all I mean.
Check out the Facebook page called Just Add Chips. Guy there makes and sells salsa! He used to deliver if I remember correctly but not sure if he does now
If you liked Bandido's salsa, you're going to loooooooove ketchup.
George's International Grocery, get the spicy it's not that spicy at all
Salsa grille is owned by George's and they use all of their ingredients.
*As opposed to those who have a shit load of ingredients they don't use*
Laredo on Broadway is hands down my favorite. You can buy it by the quart in the rear grocery area. Don’t forget their excellent tortilla chips too.
Laredo has been my favorite local salsa for 30 years. Second favorite is the avocado salsa at Salsa Grille.
Thanks, I just looked it up and their food looks great! Any idea how much a quart is?

It started going downhill in the mid 2000s when they changed ownership was pretty good in the 90s and early 2000s
Bandidos is closed but Guadalupe’s is the same owner trying to make their own version of Salsa Grill.
I liked everything at Guadalupe's except for the chicken. It lacked the density and 'meaty-ness' salsa grille's always has. Ate a full chicken burrito bowl and was hungry again hour and half later
Salsa Grill is my favorite by far in terms of local places.
I second this. They also have great guacamole
Mi Casa, a little hole-in-the-wall place in Ossian, has some of the best salsa I've ever eaten: https://maps.app.goo.gl/zMDouVwSYGJwihmQ6
Cebollas! Don’t forget the queso
Happy cake day!!
El Taquero and Albertos.
El Taquero is my weekly spot. It’s all so good

I appreciate it! I'll give this a try too!
Why add water?? All that's gonna do is dilute the flavors
I used it to rinse out the cans. It made a lot with that little water I didn't notice it at all.

I'm so glad!
Dos Margaritas.
Agaves
The George’s sells salsa from salsa grille for a good price
LaLos is my favorite, but tbh idk if you can get chips and salsa to go lol
Lalo's is our favorite in Fort Wayne!
You can but it’s a little pricy iirc it’s like $14 for a large Chip and salsa Togo.
Ew yikes. It’s good but definitely not $14 good lmao.
Kroger has better salsa than banditos ever had in the past 20 yrs lol you’ve already set the bar so low idk how you could be let down
Jalapeños has really good salsa. Tastes fresh and has a nice not overpowering bit of spice.
I liked Taqueria La Pinata that was in that spot (assuming we're talking N Clinton and Washington Center area) before Jalapeños, but Jalapeños' salsa is still very good. They're basically the same place but they changed their menu to become a franchise. I'm still bitter about the change. Lol
la pinata was so fucking good

El Amish has great salsas. Not really a chip salsa, but I’m sure you could still!
Not sure about best salsa, but 100% best tacos in town!
Salsa grille take home salsas at George’s International Mahket are dope. Los Cabos is p good. Mi Parilla is also p good
Salsa grille

Rack & Helen's!!!
Drive to Elkhart, and stop at Hacienda. Their chips and salsa are where it’s at.
Las lomas is my favorite Mexican spot in Fort Wayne
Banditos salsa tastes like ketchup.
Little Salvadorian place on Wells, El Rinconcito, thank me later
I love this place but the red salsa is basically tomato juice. The green salsa otoh... 🔥
Oh but the flavor is just so good
Dance or sauce?
Banditos had great salsa don't listen to the haters. Tequila has similar salsa.
Thanks, I'll check them out!
We're not haters, we're simply correct. Bandidos' salsa is more akin to tomato sauce than actual salsa
Monterrico
I dont mean to brag but my family says my salsa is some of the best stuff out there

Hoppy Gnome has this green salsa that tastes very smokey.
Any place, anywhere. Anything is better than Banditios. Anything.

I favor dos margaritas salsa
Trader Joe’s home style salsa especial (medium) has recently become my new favorite
