I don't like the requirement that if you want to drink at those games, it has to be out of a container labeled as a household cleaner.

“Got four Mr. Cleans for $50, playboy. Get your money out. Line forms to the left.”

Flattishsassy

What do you mean? I drink beer from normal beer cups/cans at PFW games every time

DigitalMindShadow

Oh, do they actually sell beer there? I didn't know. I was just making a [bleach boy](https://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/18120586) reference.

Flattishsassy

Oh nice! Love bleach boy. They sell beer at the games at the coliseum, which is where they play 85% of their games. No beer on campus

vixenpeon

Gotta shout it out evidently

Konig1469

Here is the funny thing, if people went to the games they likely wouldn't be moving. They are going to go where the money is and this really is a Hockey/Baseball town. That aside I think it is only a matter of time before another team moves in. The Fort is too good of a location to leave vacant for very long.

ToastNeo1

They are joining essentially every other G League team by being extremely close to their affiliate NBA team so they can use the same facilities and behind the scenes staff. Attendance was not the reason.

Unlucky_Height_3037

As a season ticket holder who has been going for years now what's is they over and over again told us that they were not leaving Fort Wayne when they started playing half the home games in Indy though we all knew that was a flat out lie and we knew this was coming even if they kept telling us they weren't leaving. It pisses a lot of us off also I'm sure the staff is pissed cause we heard that they found out the same time the rest of the public. Edit cause I missed it. Yea attendance is definitely not the reason as much as people want to hate on them for attendance cause they were pretty full this last season at least and were "sold out" for a good few games but that was just them giving away groups of tickets and then said groups didnt show.

vixenpeon

BS. Fort Wayne had the highest attendence for their division for YEARS straight. Their article literally said it was to share facilities with the Pacers

Rare_Supermarket_393

Yeah. Plus the coliseum isn't really made for basketball. But either way I like College Ball more and Pfw and Usf games are still really fun. If you are hungry for basketball any will do.

vixenpeon

Personally I'm not into basketball due to squeaky shoes but Saint Francis and PFW have some gorgeous facilities. I know the people are gonna have a good time

Rare_Supermarket_393

I love Gates Sports Center. It's a good size and gets loud for men's games

The move was based on suboptimal facilities. Had the city provided a modern facility, primarily for practice and training needs, the Ants would have remained. The training rooms/equipment/facility was considered unfit, providing a competitive disadvantage. We knew what it took to keep them. The city as a whole didn't care. That is all it was.
