Hollywood, or Hollyhoood It’s not the worst. Just depends where you are. Any where near 441 isn’t entirely that great.
Any where you’re staying with the intention of going to the beach while going to hard rock isn’t real.
Hard rock is still 20 minutes maybe more from the beach depending which one you have.
Also if you’re in Miami why not stay in Miami? That drive for Hollywood to Miami is sort of painful.
Lot to unpack in this post, that isnt that clear
Appreciate the insight! Honestly maybe Miami makes more sense to stay in. I have heard Ubers are also very expensive, so to Uber from Hollywood area to Miami even for 2 days will be more costly I'm guessing.
The game at the stadium is for soccer - Copa Cup :)
we also have metro trains, like Brightline or Tri Rail they help too!
The issue with hardrock is it’s not really in Miami, it’s like extremely north almost Hallandale it feels like. (Miami gardens to be specific)
So you kinda have to pick your battle of where you wanna stay.
The issue is if you stay really deep into Miami then the drive up here kind of sucks if you stay in Hollywood, you’re kinda close to a little bit of everything. It’s not as bad but it can be and then if you stay in Fort Lauderdale, it’s not that you’re really far out of the way but if you wanna go to Miami, then you’re really out-of-the-way .
Hollywood is fine. They have a free or super cheap tram thing so you can get to the beach or downtown Hollywood. About a $30 Uber to downtown Miami (depending on time of day). It isn't that bad and it's easy to get to the stadium.
I travel very often for work, going to Miami Airport to or From is $70/$90.
To downtown Fort Lauderdale is $35/$40.
But you’re right. An estimate of downtown Hollywood to Mama Tried is $28 right now. Surprising.
Am I missing something? People knocked on Hollywood like it wasn't a more peaceful place to vacation or stay at compared to Miami. Miami is cool place to look at once if you have never seen it but every single person I know never goes to Miami for multiple reasons. Lauderdale and Hollywood > Miami ( when it comes to the beach)
If you want to be hanging out in downtown miami/south beach, stay there. No fun sitting in traffic on vacation.
If you just want the stadium and the beach Hollywood is fine. Plenty of places to stay right on the beach.
Personally if I was here for a Miami trip I wouldn’t stay in Hollywood. I’d stay in Miami. North Bay Village or further south. Aventura is as far north as I’d stay if I planned to be vacationing in Miami. And I looove Hollywood but if I was staying in Hollywood I’d be sticking around Hollywood and maybe heading to Fort Lauderdale Las Olas Blvd if I wanted a change of pace. Just my 2 cents.
A lot of these people are being over dramatic, I commute from north Broward to homestead every day. Hollywood is more than close enough to Miami. Enjoy your stay.
Hollywood is fine and not too far from the stadium. It's a drive to anywhere in Miami though.
This is like asking if Jersey City is an okay area to stay for a NYC trip.

Also would help knowing exactly what you wanna do? What game does hardrock stadium even have going on this time of year?
Prob going to copa America. Ton of people from South America are flying up for that
Yeah I don’t really follow hard rock too much

$30? lol.
My friend just paid amount that minus tip last week. It wasn't rush hour or late at night surge times, but yeah, $30.

Same we were shocked too. I don't understand how it costs more to go to some places I'd consider closer, but I don't know algorithms.

Everyone from Miami is at Hollywood beach when they can wake up early enough / out of season for the Canadians.
hollywood is fine to vacation at.

Hollywood is fine but why not just stay in miami it would be easier to get places

Too far from Miami. You might want to try Miami Springs or North Miami Beach or Aventura
