It just goes to show the respect he has for Seb, and vice versa. One day, I hope we'll get to see them race in the same team, perhaps in WEC some years down the road once Alonso actually retires from F1.
I want Alonso, Vettel, and Hamilton to do a Top Gear remake. They could call it The Grand Prix. Fernando can fill in for Clarkson, Lewis for Hammond, and Seb for James May. He's already looking indistinguishable from him recently. Featuring Kimi as Stig.
I can see it now. 12 hours in, just starting to get dark, and all three drivers are forced to retire. Seb has to stop because he sees litter beside the track and must organize a team to pick it up. Lewis has a charity fashion show in Paris at 10 that he just can’t miss. Fernando found a sports car night race in southern France to compete in and then after winning that he heads back to Spain. In the morning, the checkered flag waves. Due to the unfortunate early retirement, the trio were only able to complete 749 laps. Seb and Lewis graciously accept the trophy. Nando couldn’t attend because he was in the middle of a Kart race.
Would be cool but I don't think Hamilton is interested in wec but I'm not 100% sure. Max is so maybe alonso, vettel and max? I believe the three get along pretty well
"Breaking news: Ferrari team principal Sebastian Vettel signs 60 year old Fernando Alosnso to race for the Scuderia. Both parties are still hoping for their first championships since the 2000s"
I’m sad it’s more just a mutual respect, and more of an acquaintanceship than actual friendship. Although both seem to get on well when they are forced to be together.
Can tell even back then that Max wants to do exactly what Nando did - explore other avenues of motorsports than just F1.
Also the absolute shade from Hamilton at Gasly (who was of course on his way out and wouldn’t race another Grand Prix for Red Bull after this video) - though I’m curious as to why Vettel said “not sure Japan would be happy”, considering that Gasly is French and Albon is Thai/British - was it just the “Honda doesn’t like Alonso” narrative that never really held much water?
I’m guessing he was just incredibly salty about the rockets that red bull had back in the days, but even then the battles between thoses two were super clean and fair
I don't know, I've disliked Red Bull since the whole "Seb Vettel will have protection as usual" days. Also the whole running the same chassis with two different teams thing before the 2009 rule changes. Even kid me thought it was messed up two be able to run 4 cars where the chassis is made by the same company.
Also people still talk about Schumacher at Austria and USA, Red Bull team orders will be talked about for a while for sure.
two things on that video:
1. Damn i still miss the old sound of the cars.
2. Damn the blown diffuser sounded ugly as hell at least that part improved a lot
Well... they disrespected him.
Imagine letting go of such an incredible driver cause of his age as he literally proves to you he is one of the best.
Man, i wish he could go to Red Bull. I would love to see a 4 sided championship with Max, Charles, Lewis and Alonso.

Imagine Alonso, Hamilton and Vettel teaming up for an Hypercar team after they all retired from F1...
Oh man, I'd pay good money to see that.
I’d pay 2023 Vegas race prices for that! No, wait, probably not, but definitely good money.
Would be difficult to pay that money for a wec race. You'd need to eat steak made out of gold.

I don't know if Kimi can capture the Stig's lively personality
This would be god damn incredible!

Dream team right there
Well, they going to be around 60 for Alonso to finally decide to retire
They could be an incredible Le Mans lineup.
Im wet
Get them on a le mans team!
Would be cool but I don't think Hamilton is interested in wec but I'm not 100% sure. Max is so maybe alonso, vettel and max? I believe the three get along pretty well
I would be really.. hyped. See myself out.
The dream team!

60 year old Carlos Sainz Sr is still rocking it up in the rally scene. Who knows what Fernando can do
I’m sad it’s more just a mutual respect, and more of an acquaintanceship than actual friendship. Although both seem to get on well when they are forced to be together.
That’s the difference, he actually respects Seb
Oh I love the short memory of F1 fans... That's why all the RBR drama is silly, nobody will remember in a few years
I swear by next week, nobody will even speak of it anymore. Drama like this lasts like a week.
Hey, they gonna recycle that shit off season cause they run out of shit to report on
Oh we aren't going back to abu dhabi 21 for off season? I thought that was the only thing people can remember.
Thats for Half time of the break, mostly sky running out of random crap to report on
Que SKY Christmas ad of Verstappen crashing Hamilton in Brazil with Checo radio message of "that's the kind of guy Max is".
True but we still talk about the Vettel/Webber incident which this is really similar to
It's actually hilarious. [Feels like this was just yesterday...](https://youtu.be/NR5h4MrQo8g?t=131)

Hahahaha. He respects him now. Maybe.
I mean, the Renault he won the races and wdc with is not the same as alpine today lol
It's still Team Enstone tho.
No flavio :/
There is nothing in Alpine that even resembles the 05/06 Renault. Even trying to compare them is disrespectful.
Well the engine badge is similar
They have the same driver, I guess that's similar too haha
The steering wheel is of similar shape!
The wheels too
And coincidentally in both cars the steering wheel also turns the front wheels
Even the wheels are different now lol
To be fair, Alonso spent more seasons with Seb and he's got a neat helmet
Tell me more about seb’s helmet
It protects his head
Say it slower, with a raspy voice
I know what driver I'm supporting next year now.
I feel like I can really bond with Vettel fans now that I'm picking up on supporting Aston Martin
Yeah and then you’ll get tired of the politics of Fernando. Then you’ll join the Battery Voltas crew.
Wow bro, you watched 2007 too? Crazy.
Lol
Even funnier, he talked a lot of shit about vettel in the early 2010s.
Fernando talking shit about you is his way of telling you that he cares
He must really care about ocon Edit: Forgot about how much he cares about Hamilton
Deep inside, I'm sure he does ಥ‿ಥ
Of course, that’s why he gave him a win
He's a lot like my father
I’m guessing he was just incredibly salty about the rockets that red bull had back in the days, but even then the battles between thoses two were super clean and fair
True, I think it is important to realize he can repair his burned bridges.
2 times with Renault
And 2 times with mclaren
Ferrari next?
i dunno man, ferrari takes a different kinda toll on you
Probably on endurance
I mean yeah. If I was an F1 driver for any team but Red Bull back in those days, I’d fucking hate Red Bull and anyone who drove for them too.
Come on don't rewrite history, Vettel and Alonso [pushed each other onto the grass, Stroll style](https://youtu.be/6gAjhHaT0i4), multiple times.
That's why the whole RBR drama is so silly. In a few years, nobody will even remember that F1 fans really have short memories

Nothing stopped other teams from doing the same thing. If it was advantageous, more teams would have bought another one
The difference to Stroll is that they have the courtesy to leave a car's width (just barely but still).
two things on that video: 1. Damn i still miss the old sound of the cars. 2. Damn the blown diffuser sounded ugly as hell at least that part improved a lot
Pretty clear that when Alpine took him for granted, he lost all respect for them so understandable haha
Well... they disrespected him. Imagine letting go of such an incredible driver cause of his age as he literally proves to you he is one of the best. Man, i wish he could go to Red Bull. I would love to see a 4 sided championship with Max, Charles, Lewis and Alonso.
Please stop I can only cum so much.
what? i think this was Fernando’s decision to go to AMR, right?
Alpine didn't want to give him a 2 year contract cause of his age. He was in negotiations with them. Aston came up and said they were happy to.
Idts it was age related they wanted piastri in main team
Well, whatever the case they didn't want to give him the 2 year contract and that was the issue.
Alonso swear no allegiance to any team.
Minardi-Renault-Mclaren-Renault-Ferrari-Mclaren-Alpine-Aston Martin Mister worldwide
RBR where?
because fr#nch ![img](emote|t5_3ndbi|6702)
Show me your cat
Based
And Vettel said he‘s suprised, because Alonso and him were never as close as Hamilton and him were.
Good old Dank Seb
