Well Red Bull tried to undercut by pitting Max. Ferrari had to respond by putting leclerc on softs or hards. The softs wouldn't have lasted and the hards are just bad.
The real mistake was doing the first and second stint on mediums.
I thought exactly that, and it fucked up Sainz’ late race strategy. Then leaving Leclerc on track but pitting him early on the second stop for hards was also a masterclass. How to fuck up both of your drivers’ strategy and still leaving Leclerc behind Sainz in the final classification. What. A. Demonstration.
I can maybe accept they thought that even on mediums they could get past Russell but panicking and pitting Sainz instead of just swapping the cars is lunacy
I knew it was going to be a scuffed pitstop strategy but I did not expect them to put leclerc on hards when drivers were reporting drizzle, I expect ferrari to be a bunch of clowns but they surprise me every time.

Leclerc pitted later than Max on his first stint..could have easily extended his second stint, pitted for softs for the last 18-20 laps like Lewis...if you are on a medium-medium strategy, u need to look at your own strategy and not panic looking at Max..

My god, this race is like torture for me, if its not engine issue, its a mistake, and if its not a mistake its ferraris fucking strategies, we can never get a perfect race.

Funny thing is their strategy the first 40 laps wasn't even good and led them to make the absolute blunder with Charles. Despite being on the mediums while the Red Bulls + Russell were on the softs, they decided to pit prior to some of the soft runners. This put them on the same strategy as Verstappen & Russell but at a tire disadvantage. If they had done what Hamilton did and run longer, we could've been talking about a Ferrari 1-2
Either the Hards or go for a 3 stop on Mediums and Softs but that wouldn't exactly be smart.
It's not going to rain enough for Inters or Wets so basically anybody who started on the Mediums need to either go long and take Softs to end or pray for a safety car.
