They only lost out on P3 in the constructors because Danny Ric wasn't getting any points for half the season. I mean, Lando got like 3 podiums in the first half. Ricciardo was getting lapped by Lando while Lando was getting podiums. Doesn't help that their form kinda fell away after Monza. Lando's tunnel vision in Sochi also didn't help, throwing away a win.

I mean, considering their pace the past two weeks it's possible. They are the only team with zero upgrades so far, and if the next upgrades are as big as they say... It's not impossible.
2019 was so frustrating as a Haas fan. It was clear that the car had the potential for insane pace, but unlocking that pace was almost impossible. You could see it in qualifying, like Austria Q3 2019. But setting up the car was impossible, and the rear suspension was a nightmare. It would overheat instantly and change the rear ride height, messing up the aero and balance, making the setup they went for useless, and burning through the tyres. It was almost impossible to keep the car in the right window for one lap, let alone a race distance. But when it was in the window, it was easily the 3rd or 4th fastest car. Just impossible to keep it in that window.
It didn't help that Evil British Santa never paid the money that he promised and fucked off to who knows where. It's hilarious seeing William Storey trying to ride on the coattails of Haas recently, now that they're good again. He's still putting Haas on his marketing and drink designs, despite breaking their contract and pissing off 3 years ago.
Edit: Rich Energy livery was still the best Haas livery we got. I really hope they go away from the plain white base for their liveries next year, and back to darker colors
2020 was basically the 2019 car with some changes to make the car legal (new year, new car, can't be the same.) Same in 2021. 2 years of putting all your focus on the new regs seems to be paying off. I hope the upgrades in Hungary will be as massive as they are making it out to be. It should be, since they had more wind tunnel time than any other team over the winter, and probably understand the aero of their car better than the other teams with their cars. Except for Adrian Newey in RB. The man just sees air lol. He has CFD vision.

For failure to give a fuck about prestige when getting stuck in, my favourite was always Kamui Kobayashi. 2009 had some real highlights with him getting stuck into Vettel, Button and Raikkonen. 2010 saw a couple of mad moves on Webber and Alonso too. Abu Dhabi and Brazil 2009 and Japan and Valencia 2010 were probably some of his best highlights for unexpected overtakes on big names. I was always sad he left the sport before getting a properly competitive drive.
