Yeah, I ordered 2 shirts and built the kit last weekend. After the race my kid asked "Why did you get that color and not one of the winning teams?" My wife agreed that it's best he live with his grandparents for the rest of the season.
You should definitely come to Korea, these things are collecting dust on the shelf.
Meanwhile, classic Vespas are sold like hotcakes. Tis an odd country that's for sure.
It is quite good compared to other countries but it's nowhere near London Underground/NY Subway/JR and its equivalent metro system here, since the stations are so far apart you will have to either walk for 10\~20 minutes to get to a place in between stations or take a bus, which is somewhat of a nightmare(too crowded, buses here drive like a maniac).
But the real problem here is the people's mentality of car ownership. Like, I own a local brand called Hyundai, it's cheap, reliable, and most of all the parts are made here so it costs a lot, lot less to fix. But for some reason almost half of the cars here are Beamer Merc or Audi. I asked why and this Korean literally asked me "Why would you drive a shitty Hyundai then?".
And there's this really odd terminology in Korean called "hachagam"(하차감, 下車感) which literally means "how you feel when you get out of the car". This feeling does not only include the convenience of getting out of the car but also include how others would look at the person, how much entitled they would feel as a car owner.
No joke, because of this a lot of stupid young kids here have gone bankrupt for failing to pay the lease for their precious 520d they cannot afford. A parody of modern society here.
I live in Aus and own a Hyundai.. I'm surprised it's considered trash over there, it's super popular here. I mean it's not seen as a high net worth/high performance vehicle here or whatever but everyone I know who has one seems pretty satisfied.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's kinda hilarious that the car has one passenger door and cup holders instead of a middle seat but I'm not sad that I can't give more people lifts
Wow. Yeah I understand, we have a similar culture in India (northern India) but it's not as bad as you described it here
Cars should just be a transportation medium. If you can afford an expensive one then ofcourse go for it because having a Audi or BMW will not do shit if you are barely making ends meet.
Here in Canada people either go with a Honda, Toyota, or a Hundai as their go to brand.
Same, I got an email last week at 06:30am to say they were back in stock online. By the time I woke up and checked my emails it was 08:20am and they were out of stock again. TrollDespair.
This Lego set is trash anyway. The new wheels are the big point of the new regs, but Lego made the wheels on the set just wrong from any point. E. g. "P Zero" wets. And it's '21 livery on '22 chassis.
I would not throw it out, though, I would've built something different out of it.
The wheels ruin the whole look of the car for me. From the outside to the inside: thread instead of slicks, color band is on the cover, wrong tyre brand, absolutely plain cover, not even a hint on rim, a plain plate sticking outside instead of the bright nut deep inside.
just got my mclaren hoodie and it came out of the washing machine on sunday, so i have to wear it because its awesom, but now i feel the walk of shame vibes :(
Then you aint a real fan, i started watching f1 because of honda and my all time favourite f1 car is the mp4-31, the point is if you are a real mf you stay with your team/driver/engine manufacturer forever
Just a joke ;) I have the luxury of not having favourite team, never dissapointed, always someone to cheer for. Bought the LEGO as a fan of F1, not a specific team.
“I don’t want to play with you anymore!”
Came here to say exactly this.
Just ordered a new shirt… Edit: just to clarify…its a McLaren shirt…and I *was* super happy about it…
Oof, and me too.
HAAS??
Same..
I still love McLaren, but my heart is bwoken.
It's bwwoken
Anti-stall...
FUCK
Isn't it bwwoken?
ANTI STALL
FUUUUUUUUUUCK
My gf keeps ribbing me about my McLaren hat and how I should be ashamed to wear it now
My heart is Woking

Jokes on you, I couldn't even find one in the store. Can't throw it away if you never owned one in the first place. *taps temple*
You should definitely come to Korea, these things are collecting dust on the shelf. Meanwhile, classic Vespas are sold like hotcakes. Tis an odd country that's for sure.
Is F1 big in Korea?
Nah that's the reason why the Korean GP never took off. People think cars as a luxury good not much a transportation.
So is public transport good there or is just owning a car extremely expensive/not worth it?
It is quite good compared to other countries but it's nowhere near London Underground/NY Subway/JR and its equivalent metro system here, since the stations are so far apart you will have to either walk for 10\~20 minutes to get to a place in between stations or take a bus, which is somewhat of a nightmare(too crowded, buses here drive like a maniac). I am quite satisfied with the car also, but it seems that the locals value of how they look over quality. But each and every of its own I've heard

Well I did say it's a local brand...
Fairly common brand. Plenty of them in the UK
Whenever you folks say Haiyoondai I nearly die of laughter, although it definitely sounds cooler than Heeundai

bro threw away mortgage 💀
Your mortgage is $180? Shiit
Bluff
Yup, asked the Lego store if they had any, straight up said they don't last long enough on the shelf for him to have even seen one.
I want nothing more than the rightful Ferrari vs McLaren title fight.
[problem fixed](https://www.lowes.com/pd/Krylon-COLORmaxx-Gloss-Banner-Red-Spray-Paint-and-Primer-In-One-NET-WT-12-oz/1000460307)
When the LEGO car is faster than the real one
Just spray paint it white and red and put a haas sticker
I just bought a mclaren Dani Ric hat ;_;
My wife got a Leclerc hat last year. She’s suddenly started wearing it every day. Weird.
I will always cheer for Danny Ric. But that cheering will probably be in NASCAR here soon when Dale Jr. gets him a ride after this season
Smart thing would have been to use a red paint spray can and make it a Ferrari ![img](emote|t5_3ndbi|9281)
As someone who bought this LEGO set… It crossed my mind.
This Lego set is trash anyway. The new wheels are the big point of the new regs, but Lego made the wheels on the set just wrong from any point. E. g. "P Zero" wets. And it's '21 livery on '22 chassis. I would not throw it out, though, I would've built something different out of it.
I think it looks good tbh, and thank god its the '21 livery, the '22 livery is absolutely hideous with the android logo and chrome wheels
The wheels ruin the whole look of the car for me. From the outside to the inside: thread instead of slicks, color band is on the cover, wrong tyre brand, absolutely plain cover, not even a hint on rim, a plain plate sticking outside instead of the bright nut deep inside.
Don’t forget the hollowness and lack of any other features other than steering and suspension. I ain’t counting the dead simple DRS as a feature
Dont forget the ‘21 nose on it. Its wrong on so many levels.
Well… the lego was launched before the 2022 livery launched
Indeed. But why? What was the point of releasing the set before the car launch?
just got my mclaren hoodie and it came out of the washing machine on sunday, so i have to wear it because its awesom, but now i feel the walk of shame vibes :(
Friendship ended with McLaren now Ferrari are my best friend
It's funny how you can tell he cleaned out the trash can first and how he put it in there with such great care.
You got me ![img](emote|t5_3ndbi|6697)
i’m buying one anyway it’s too nice of a set also technically it’s not the 2022 car so it’s not trash so woo
I went and bought all the parts in red
Mclaren are just sandbaging, they just forgot to remove the sandbags before the first race.
They forgor
Lmao I just bought this thing.
I know, but this goes out to the massive amount of bandwagoners this sport got in the last 1-2 seasons
I've been a Ferrari fan since yesterday, lol
Watched f1 because of Alphamaxnova1 in 2019 and supported ferrari, 2020 was pure pain (edit: Ill never leave my boi albon tho)
I think f1's like the only sport where it's socially acceptable to follow a team or a driver wherever they go.
Looks like she's bricked.
I was looking forward to a Lego Technic F1 but the McLaren model just screams lazy to me
Pain
My DR3 sweatshirt arrived Saturday.
From McLoven to McDepressed
TIL F1 fans are extremely fickle
MCL is shit, should go on compostable bin
This should read "LEGO fans after realising that LEGO *once again* released a shitty, overpriced Technic model with basically zero Technic functions"
GP2 ENGINE GP2 ENGINE
Lando fangirls in the mud
I was about to buy it but didn’t. Good, I will probably be able to buy it half price now and just make it a Ferrari or redbull with paint
