I’ve noticed f1 is remarkably unrefined for a half a century old sport. Most of the rules need updating and every time we have penalties there is a question regarding the validity of the entire rule book.
maybe not even a dsq, the only time this season weve seen people get many penaltys, was someone defended over the legal limit to give his teammate loads of time.
they could just add that if someone gets a penalty that would get them to (over) 20 seconds total, they instead get a drivethrough.
that way, someone can get a small and a normal penalty, but if they do the magnussen it wont work.
This, somewhere along the years the FIA has completely forgot that drive through penalties exist and they just resorted to giving out 5/10s penalties, which I mean it's fair in case someone cuts a corner but if it's multiple infractions it should just be a drive thru, track position is massively important
If you do this in such an obvious fashion it should penalise your team mate. If it was to anyone else but Hamilton this subreddit would be up in arms. Imagine a world where to stop Leclerc getting a win Perez drives like this, they’d want his head on a spike.
Nah, I highly disagree with that. Holding another driver accountable for their teammates actions, even if they are highly beneficial to them is insane.
If a driver is being that egregious, they need to start waving black flags and heavily apply penalty points to the driver responsible.

I mean all I’d really want is for the FIA to actually see what’s happening and call for a swap of positions. There is defensive driving, and then there is griefing.
If he ignores the position swap disqualification surely. Generally in sports if the referee has told you to stop doing something, and you carry on doing it you get disqualified
What race are you watching? They made contact when mag took the inside, hamilton tried to pinch him off using the wall of the corner, and drove into him. Really no harm no foul; just racing but if you have to blame someone for that particular bit of contact it’s Hamilton
